My Top Flight Of The Conchords Songs/ Moments

Jemaine (left) and Bret (right) make up Flight of the conchords: (formerly) the fourth most popular folk parody duo in New Zealand. You may have heard of them from their TV show. I was bought up listening to these guys and wanted to share my somewhat excessive knowledge of their best moments with you guys. Here are some of my favourite songs/ moments of theirs.

Starting off with one you may have heard of, Jenny is one of the best examples of storytelling through song you'll ever see. And it's done live as well - legends.

Albi the racist dragon is their take on children's stories. It was the very first song that I watched and within a week I had learned all the words.

Issues (Think about it)

As with most of their stuff, this is far better live than studio recorded (they have put out two albums which I highly recommend.) I believe it's a parody of 'Where is the Love?' by The Black Eyed Peas, in which they explain to us some of issues that really plague the world.

Two of my absolute favourites in one video. Taken from their performance in Perth a few years back. It's worth listening to the studio versions of these songs to get the full experience.

Business Time

Their most viewed song on youtube. This is one of the few where the live version is only slightly better than the studio version. In which Jemaine talks us through a typical Wednesday night at his place.

One of their lesser known one in which Bret describes a woman he saw on the street that day to a deeply uninterested Jemaine.

I Told You I Was Freaky

One of the their more concerning songs, but funny nonetheless. The guys dive deeps into their strangest fantasies.

Not so much a funny one as just a catchy tune. This will stick in your head for a few hours, you have been warned.

We're nearing the end now (sad, I know), so here is a song from their first album with the video from the TV show in which Jemaine attempts to seduce a woman he meets at a party.

The Bus Driver Song

We'll finish off strong with my absolute favourite song of their's. The bus driver song is subtle-y hilarious, which in my opinion is the best kind of hilarious. The melodies, chords and harmonies are all spot on and it's catchy as fuck. Unfortunately it's one of their least viewed ones.
