Thanks to having so many older cousins and neighbor kids with much older siblings, I got to enjoy lots of the trappings of a childhood of the 70s and 80s despite being born in the last Reagan term.
That weird feeling as an older millennial where this was your life and also not at all. I remember all of these except it didn't last that long. I still have to take Ibuprofen either way.
Oh hello fellow elder millennial that probably grew up poor so this is what ya had except most of it was busted or out of the trash, I too feel this....
And let’s not forget our collection of Encyclopedia Brittanica’s. The “Google” of our time. I think some take for granted the shear amount of information we have access to.

Hah! My childhood goes further back. Ahahaha..haha..ha….heh..cough cough. Show leaded gas, hit wheels, and cigarette grammas.
darkcascadia
I kept waiting for this to turn into a “too many cooks” style abstract horror moment.

That Swatch is valuable if the neon yellow ring is still solidly attached inside. I got £150 on eBay a decade ago for mine.
PoorBoyChevelle
If that BMX is original it'd fetch 500-800 bucks pretty easy
nuncamente
Ruined the face with clear nail polish…

Anyone else ever have to fix a cassette that got chewed up? Cutting out the bad part and use scotch tape to splice the ends back together?
WhitePoetWarlord
Did y'all have a rewind button, or did you have to flip the cassette over and hit FF
humuhumunukuapuaa
Yup. Depended on the tape recorder. Cheaper ones you had to flip tge tape first. I usually had the flip kind
RaceB0y
if i remember ...my latest casette player had ff to next song. somehow had recongnition of gap between songs
