MRW when a customer asks if they should tip; then they don't.

Long story short - I get this question all the time while working as a delivery driver. A client asked me if he was supposed to tip. I told him our policy was to not ask for tips but it's encouraged.

"Oh ok never mind then." He said as he put away his wallet.

You son of a bitch.

I've never needed to ask this question since we just pay the drivers a wage instead.

I know I'll be crucified for this; but you get paid an hourly wage. Not my job to supplement that. I work hard for my money & need it too

I actually don't get paid by the hour, rather by delivery...

That sucks. Well if you deliver to me you will get a tip.

Where should I deliver these glorious pizzas to, milord?

Avg delivery my neighborhood: 45 min. My delivery time: 10-15 min. Average tip: $0-$2. My tip: on a $20 pizza is $5. Do the math people.

The thing is that I did make this one in 15 minutes and it was a last minute order so I had to stay past my shift close for this.

There are assholes everywhere. It was just your bad luck. I tip very well because 1) It won't break me, and; 2) I get better service.

Yeah I know it was bad luck and all but it was a bit demoralizing especially after a long shift.

Of course it was. Dealing with shitty people always sucks.
