Auckland Armageddon Expo 2017

This weekend, me, my sister, and her best friend were lucky enough to go to Auckland Armageddon Expo! It's pretty much the ComicCon of New Zealand, so it was pretty exciting. Above are our costumes - sister's best friend on the left is River Song from Doctor Who, sister in the middle is Amy Pond from the Silence episode of Doctor Who, and I'm on the right as Supergirl!

Costumes all homemade - although I did buy a lot of the parts for mine off of Amazon. Pretty sure my sister said something dumb in this picture which is why we all look like that.

This stand had a full size copy of the Back to the Future DeLorean - you can't tell from the picture, but the interior all matched the movie too, and it even had the flux capacitor!

We met a Dalek too!

I didn't really realise there was someone inside the Dalek, and this picture was right after the Dalek said "Hey Supergirl" in the Dalek voice.

One girl asked me for a photo (I ended up taking photos with about 8 or so different people over the course of the day) and it ended up being this awesome group photo! (The Monopoly man cosplayer made me laugh so hard, they were so cool!)

The place also had a super cool Thor: Ragnarok exhibit, featuring a Hulk! (People unrelated but I couldn't get a pic of the Hulk by itself)

(Sorry for potato quality, I was moving in the line and couldn't get a good photo) The next day, my sister and I got to get a photo with John Barrowman! (Yes, *that* John Barrowman) The con took donations of TimTams and built him a TimTam throne!

It was actually kinda terrifying and went by really quickly, but he was really nice and even held the Jack Harkness PopVinyl we brought in!

These were the Romans that marched randomly around the place - unconfirmed, but they might have been part of the security? Either way, there were about twenty of them, and they were awesome

Again, poor quality photo (because we were quite far back from the stage and I had to zoom) but during the hotdog eating contest, the guy second from the right (dressed as Captain Jack Sparrow) did what we all dream of and pulled out a knife and fork to eat with.

All in all, it was an awesome couple of days! I'd give it 5/7, a perfect score

Edit: Woah, what the hell? Front Page?? I'm glad you guys like this so much! People normally ask for stuff here, I guess, so send cute dogs and funny memes?

(Also, all your enthusiasm for us is appreciated, and I'm doing my best to not be a buzzkill or something here, but my sister and her friend are only 16, so any comments about their looks kinda come off a little creepy. Just giving you guys a heads up!)
