9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

my sisters husky is afraid of water and doesn't like to run longer than 1/4 mile; and no, she did not pay for the warranty

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My friend got a malamute and husky mix puppy the other day. It's adorable.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I would not be surprised to find out that #25 is a wolf dog hybrid.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

God they are such derps! We're moving somewhere cold, so we could theoretically have a husky without them suffering...

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

After a few generations they change their hide anyway according to the local climate (it's more for isolation than for warmth).

As a husky owner, it aggravates me when people don't know the difference between huskies and malamutes... Huskies have blue eyes!

Two doublettes but I'm still gonna upvote. This was awesome! :D

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It is amazingly easy to get "scary" husky pics, case In point, mine:

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Yeah, if you didnt know what a husky is, they'd be terrifying to come across if they decided to show their teeth.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

But cute is just as easy:

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Your boxer looks terrified!

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Lol yeah, (friends boxer, I have two huskies) I love that shot, given that they were just playing and best of friends

Wish I could own a Husky in PHX...too hot for them to live here

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I know a guy with huskies in Tucson - he built them their own water-cooled/air conditioned out-building. Got a big drain in the middle 1/

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

of the floor so it can be hosed down - they don't have to go outside in the worst of the heat to relieve themselves. Walks them really 2/

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

early in the morning and again a while after dark. Drives them to snow when he can.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I live in Louisiana. If you give them plenty of fresh water and shaded areas with a breeze then they are just as happy.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I concur....Im in Houston. She just spends more time inside during the day and only goes out when she needs to. I walk her at night.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

The dry air in the summer time just cooks everything and anything outside. They dehydrate faster because of it, and I think shaving them is

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Shaving them is actually very bad for them because of the double-coat.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Stupid Imgur...I typed out the second part and I guess it didn't post. But yes..Shaving a Snow Dog is CRUEL.

As a shiba owner, this.

9 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 1

I was sooo gonna say that.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Both are from the original snow dog the "spitz" and are very similar. Pomeranians too, as well as malamutes and Samoyeds. So yeah, cats.

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Pomeranians also used to be large dogs.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Like 45lbs, I tell everyone about this too! Supposedly, Michelangelo had one of the larger poms up keeping him company during Sistine Chapel

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

100% accurate. Except when I need him to catch a goddamned mouse. Then he's all "wtf do you want from me ima dog"

9 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 2

Let the dogs out once to chase a ground hog: 10 pound terrier tried to kill it, 40 pound husky tried to play with it

9 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

well most terrier were bred specifically to hunt rodents, huskies? they just pull your fat ass around

9 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Our previous husky killed a cat, several mice, a few rats, and bird that flew too low. She also tried to fight raccoons

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Huskies are also known for having a strong prey drive which is why it is recommended that they not live with cats or other small pets

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I can confirm. My husky ate a baby chicken when we first got him and the only evidence left was a lone feather.

Friends got a formerly abused dog that dislikes men in general absolutely but hates me. Figure something about me reminds him of it.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Approached me twice in 2 years once to sniff my hand then bark aggressively and once to bite my hand hard enough to scar it.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I like dogs, just scared of them unfortunately :(

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

That seem contradictory?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Lol it's hard to explain but it's kinda like how someone may see a lion/Tiger and think Awww just a big fluffy kitty but they wouldn't 1/

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Like to go near one.Same I know what dogs CAN do.& it's that fear that sort of causes me to panic and run...Even from puppies...

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

... Don't judge... (tbh I do wish I could approach one. I love dogs but don't have the courage)
