Burn after Reading was such a strange yet great movie. Same vein as Men who Stare at Goats.

I live in Huntsville and have a friend named Mark Spencer. But he isn't homeless. Works at MDA. XD

That's cool and all, but you're still a double-dipping motherfucker.

Now I wanna know if he got the job.

Accidentally read this as, "now I wanna get the job" . Totally different sentences

Nice story but I still dont believe homeless people should own pets. If you can't take care of yourself, you shouldn't take on a dog.

I'm going to join you in these downvotes. The romanticising of "man and his dog" "companion for life" is lovely, but you have to AFFORD dogs

Thanks you.

I know an ex-homeless man and his dog was the only family he had. The only family keeping him going. I would wager his situation 1/2

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Kept tanking if it weren't for that love he received from his companion. 2/2

I get if you owned the dog then fell on hard times. Whos gonna give up their dog. But don't take one on when you can't feed yourself.

Small cage with dry kibble twice a day or freedom, companionship, and unwavering love. Food will always come. Wild and free.

I hate to be the buzzkill, but does anybody else feel bad for the dog? I know he loves hime, but can he take proper care of him?

Having a dog significantly increases the income of beggars.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

i don't feel as bad for that dog as i do the dogs who have people who work all day and leave them alone in a kennel, or large dogs in cities

The survival rate for dogs in the wild is pretty low according to my biologist friend. I'm sure any life the dog shares with this man is 1/2

2/2 likely better than being alone in the wild or trapped in the pound with the possibility of being put down.

Most homeless people's dogs eat better than the homeless person does. It may not be the 13-14 year life that pampered dogs get, but it's 1/2

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

still a life full of love. Besides, not even homeless people deserve to be alone.

If you can't afford to take care of a dog, you shouldn't have a dog.

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 4

Your not wrong, but we don't get the right to judge if they can take care of a dog. Many homeless ppl dogs are happy.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

He literally can't take care of it though. He couldn't give it shots or take care of its fleas.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

if anything they are probably more happy. Outside and with their owners all the time
