No. I mean, yes, Persians have a ton of health issues. But not Pug-level where it cripples them. They can usually live past 12 years.

My Persian lived to be 20 years old, and she was extremely healthy. Although I've seen some who had so many issues.

Hey, my pugs were fine. Didn't snore. Lived good, long lives. Not all pugs are wrecks.
