America is fully lawless now. At least for Republicans. You know if this had happened under Biden they’d be screaming from the rooftops.

Because it's a Tuesday.
That's why.

How she doesn't get an invite to a Saudi embassy anytime soon.

The USA is a traitor nation. If you thought that the betrayal would stop at betraying allies and friends... you were wrong. They betray their own citizens too

Americans elected Trump, despite the $2 billion bribe being common knowledge years ago. I don't think they care.

Because literally everyone saw it coming.

She literally names everyone but Isreal. Coincidence, hmmm. What a twit.

Because Trump is corrupt as fuck and Biden appointed THE most limp dicked AG in history in Garland who REFUSED to prosecute a damned thing for "Fear of looking like it was politically motivated." We need a strong president who isn't some career politician appointing career government officials that they're friends with into office. We need an AG that has some balls to actually go after and punish these government criminals.

Because the party in control refuses any accountability or responsibility. You can't have a show stopping scandal when the only people who can stop the show keep going "what scandal? I haven't heard of that"

Given that the Saudis got stuck with a $23B bill for desert storm, they got this one cheap.

If Americans were actually going to stop PDFs in charge they’d already have done it.

Always watch Maddow. No one explains the bullshit better!

She has a fun way of presenting it, but is still a grifter. She points out all these reasons why trump attacked Iran except the most obvious. Isreal.

No one has given two shits since Vietnam. Daniel Ellsberg thought releasing the Pentagon Papers would lead to actual revolution. In the long run, no one gave a shit.

They started a war in the middle of an election year, the economy was already likely headed towards a global recession & high oil prices are going to speed up the process. People may not care to understand the why of getting screwed, but they will care that they are getting screwed. Every political party lost power in 2024 because of high prices. So the idea that people will just sit back and take it seems unlikely.

Oh, there was an actual revolution, and a lot of people really did give a shit. What happened is that the Pentagon Papers pissed off so many in global military industrial complexes that they started buying up the media in an unending wave of mergers and acquisitions for the last five decades. Either themselves, or their friends and other proxies. Strangulation and eradication of news media were among the many goals espoused under, among others, The Southern Strategy.

I see the results, I get the idea on paper, but like... look at these people. I don't think these assholes are capable of sticking to a plan. I think they realize their children are fucked up rich twits, they stop caring about a legacy, and tell everyone else from "The Old Boys Club" that signed on to a century-long conspiracy to take over America to go pound sand while they fly to The Island.

How is it not more of a scandal? Becasue there are so many scandals everywhere noone can keep up.

Maddow did her research, had t's financial criminality figured out in 1.0. The public didn't know yet, but desperately needed to. She kept teasing and veering off.
She had a huge platform who trusted her.
I'll never forgive her

It's not more of a show stopping scandal, because they don't stop the show to laser focus on it. They brief about it, and move on. Normalizing it.

This has always been the way things are done. It's just past administrations were competent enough to at least try and hide it.

Jea butt there is a (T)reason

Don’t forget, all our middle eastern Allie’s are getting bombed because Israel sucks up the lion share of the defense systems/middles to protect Israel and the U.S. can’t spare any to the other countries because… obviously Israel first.

It gets no attention because it's just corruption after scandal after corruption after scandal, rinse, repeat.

There is a never-ending flow of this shit and it's no longer possible to be surprised or shocked by any of it.

And there's never ever any consequences.

It's called "flooding the zone" and it's working as intended.

1 week ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

The "consequences" defaulted to voters. Our entire democratic experiment was a test of the average citizens' willingness to evaluate a political candidate's "character" over their actual policies because the average citizen doesn't know enough to make a good policy on any specific thing. It's almost like a massive forum was created in the last 30 years where anyone could be convinced that their politics are *so* correct that they justify putting losers and monsters in office.

Repubs went after Hunter Biden unrelentingly for over three years for so much less than what Kushner's doing openly. Freeze his assets.

Yesterday the UAE was calling out Trump for not being more helpful after they gave all that money and help to Jarad.

Please sauce for the UAE calling out trump for not being more helpful after they gave all that money to Jared?

1 week ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

The grift, it runs through this group like Molasses through Boston.

I understand exactly what you mean and the exact day on which that happened, and the murderous speed with which it overwhelmed the street(s)

I don't even know the phrase molasses through Boston, but it just rolls off the tongue. like spice from a worm. And yeah this is obscene grift. Traitorous perhaps.

1 week ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Dude history got weird on this one

1 week ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

They say you can still smell the molasses on a hot summer day. I went once, but didnt smell it.

It's not a rivalry with Iran so much as a major force pushing the price of oil up. Iran getting bombed is fine sure whatever.

1 week ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Uh, they are both major oil producers, so yeah, one country getting its oil infrastructure destroyed will certainly help the other country.

1 week ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

My understanding is that they have been in a regional cold war for decades. Yemen has been in a state of civil war for years. The rebels (AKA the Houthis) are funded by Iran, Saudi buys tanks from the USA and sends them to help the government.
