the changed the settings to make it easier, and he had an mirror.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah, they talked with the arcade manager and had him adjust the game's rigging, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mhuXfQLTV30

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Did the double blocks just change sides???

8 years ago | Likes 87 Dislikes 3

No, I swapped your eyes while you were distracted.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 4

Good eye

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Yes they did, from the making of I think this was done in multiple takes though which explains it.

8 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 0

Not just multiple takes. Multiple *hundred* takes.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

By the nature of his videos I doubt this was him actually playing the game and just lights edited in afterwards. But I could be wrong

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

He actually was playing it, there's a BTS. He used a mirror, and the lights were slowed down I think?

Former arcade attendant speaking: these are rigged. Its literally not possible to get a major prize until X amount of money has been put in.

8 years ago | Likes 425 Dislikes 4

Idk a kid at my work won it on the first try but the stupid prize got stuck because the prize door locked when he did.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I experienced that with this machine first hand, as soon as I landed on the major prize it stopped and moved one space to the right.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Machine technician here; can confirm.

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Pretty much anything that gives out prizes is rigged

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

My buddy used to win iPod minis all the time and sell them to kids. Each one cost him 2$

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Had the luckiest day of my life once then. Spent $10 total and cleared 4 major prizes. Should have bought a lottery ticket that day

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Physics expert here; can confirm.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As for this video, the machine was programmed to win in this particular case, and he watched a mirror so his timing seemed accurate.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's not "until X amount of money has been put in" but rather 1 prize in a range of "X profit", otherwise you could count the plays.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

According to a behind the scenes video, they got the owner to un-rigged it so they could get the shot

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

didn't he say that he just tried with a mirror until it worked?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

a lie he probably had to tell so that the owner didnt lose business on the revealing that it is rigged

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

he did say it was rigged though

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The amount is adjustable, but the top prize will always go one extra square and you lose if that amount has not been met.

8 years ago | Likes 192 Dislikes 0

That's the same with all those machines. If everyone could get a jackpot the arcades would go out of business haha.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I played one of these when I was younger and almost got the major prize like 5 times, I'm pissed that I didn't realize it was rigged til now

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This explains why I got screwed. I played it one time and it went one past somehow and I was pretty upset thinking it was rigged. If true :c

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

Isn't that kind of fraudulent?

8 years ago | Likes 115 Dislikes 1

Which is exactly why you shouldn't trust those machines or games anywhere.

8 years ago | Likes 84 Dislikes 0

Its only considered fraudulent if the machine cannot dispense a top prize. There is no way to set it to not pay out without modifying the

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Circuitry itself by removing components and soldering on new ones to allow it. Doable, but most places don't have the time/know how to do it

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Definitely kind of flatulent.

8 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 2

As long as it pays out, it's allowed. Bigger prizes will require more money before it lets you win.

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 2

Does it at least dispend the prize if it hangs several prongs inward or do you need to win five times?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It will register that no prize has dropped and keeps moving

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

There's an infrared sensor that detects when something drops past it. Screw keeps turning until something drops.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Never played on one of these but if it goes one extra then why not hit the button one block away from the stack

8 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 3

It'll automatically skip. I studied one trying to play it and I SAW the damn light skip over the stack I was making.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I assume it's a if/then sorta thing. If it stops on the winning block, move over 1 block; if it doesn't land on the winning block, stay

8 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 0

because it's programmed to NOT go to the stack.

8 years ago | Likes 57 Dislikes 0

It's like how claw machines are rigged to not put enough juice to the claw to maintain a grip except every 1 in X tries.

8 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

Mmmmmmmm.... claw juice... ????

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

So when I was like 18 there was one in our local shopping centre. (Mall for you Americans) My friend lent me 50p to play and it must have 1/

2/ Been ready to pay out and I won an iPod. I thought it only fair that we share it so we had it for half a week each. I was really into

8 years ago | Likes 68 Dislikes 3

3/ dance music at the time and him rock and indie so it was a very eclectic range of music but we worked it well. 2 months later...

8 years ago | Likes 64 Dislikes 3

4/ We were in again. I asked him for another 50p and joked if I won this time we weren't sharing. Low and behold I won again. PSP this time

8 years ago | Likes 72 Dislikes 3

5/ Gave him full rights to the iPod then I kept the PSP. We still have them to this day. And we're still best friends. Fin
