Aside from *potential* medical bills, does it? I'm not seeing anything that would really cost that much. A motorcycle doesn't self-destruct after merely falling over.

If you look super close in the first clip, it appears there is an engine guard. This surrounds the engine and protects it from damage. The first bike also has no fairings, or plastics, to scuff up. The handlebars can get grip slides, and the back pegs more or less protect the rear of the motorcycle. Hope this gives some context to how you can stunt on a "beater bike" while learning.
