Faces of Meth..... What once was healthy is now destroyed....

Oct 17, 2017 1:56 AM

Coming from a former meth addict of 10 years (sober for 2) most meth addicts don't wind up looking like this.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I never truly understood how dark and sinister meth was until my sister became addicted. Breaks my heart the decisions that lead to using.

them : meth. me : maths

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Horrible

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I have seen how they make meth. This is not surprising.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

AMC made a lot of money off it

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Wow what great progress keep up the good work

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Some of them didn't exactly look healthy to begin with

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Most people don't just start with meth, they were most likely on other things beforehand

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Most of these are showing first drug charge and then progression every time they get caught again. Likely had been doing it for a while

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That's methed up.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

"What was once healthy"? Some of these before photos look like they had seen some shit

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Isn't a better question "is it the meth doing this to them.. Or the life style of living with an addiction and neglecting themselves?"

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Both

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Supposedly it feels like bugs under your skin when you do it a lot, then they try to pick them out, thus all them red spots.

8 years ago | Likes 32 Dislikes 1

It's more than that - it's that you don't clean out the scratches because you're either high/coming down, so they scar.

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

is that due to meth itselfe or due to impurites/additives? since iv opioide users also often have that "bugs under the skin" thing

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

That's just a side effect of opiates, "feeling itchy", but no where near the same intensity as with meth, and not generally on the face

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

idk. just read about it

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's less from the meth more psychosis from not sleeping for a week then you hyperfocus on every imperfection in the mirror.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Damn, third one down was hot too!

8 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 10

But now she's gettable.

Just doing my part ;)

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I can’t upvote this. It saddens my soul knowing people destroy themselves like this.

8 years ago | Likes 67 Dislikes 8

Watch the Louis Theroux doc' about the city addicted to meth. It's brilliantly saddening.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Upvote for awareness then gawwwwd

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Watched my brother do it while our mother passed. Hardest things in my life, still struggling with that time in life. It hurts family too!

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

You sound like the strength your family needs. So heartbroken about you being put in that position. How is your brother now?

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

About to get out of prison. He doesn't handle death well. Another bro passed the year before my mom. Dad and first bro to pass went in 90s.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

You'll surprise yourself at how strong you can be, while at the same time how fragile your mind and physical body may be!

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I'm 34.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Really none of them looked healthy to begin with. I think "What once was slightly fried is now totally cooked" is a more fitting title

8 years ago | Likes 48 Dislikes 8

Well they are mugshots.... So guessing they weren't doing so great in life anyway

8 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

i wonder what your definition of "healthy" is then.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 9

If that's your definition of healthy you need as much help as them lol

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

You are retarded if you can't see how much better they look beforehand.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 7

I am retarded and even I can see that they were still junkies beforehand.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Ya they definitely were junkies to begin with as well, probably why they ended up in jail.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

#1 has that meth-eye in both pics. Could be an actual lazy eye, but I doubt it in this case.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That's just sad.

While this is great deterrent its not all that accurate. People struggle with that shit for years with no outward changes except weight.

Krank vs clean lab-made crystal meth. I know long time users. Personal hygiene plays a big part.also quality. Used myself. Adderal ×100

Maybe not even that! Had a couple of friends that got real spin out and they stayed overweight. Different side effects for different folks.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Yeah if you just remember personal hygiene it goes a long way.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My fiance was on meth when I met him. You couldn't tell by his appearance. He also worked and had defined muscles. Clean now though!!!

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

My uncle stayed fat on meth, but his skin turned gray and he aged quickly. Friend’s mom lost all her teeth and became incredibly gaunt.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I’ve always wondered what’s causing that? Why do they loose teeth and where does the scars come?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's why I don't meth with the stuff.

Any science types know what causes those freaky ass pock marks? I'm curious if it's the meth or malnutrition from forgetting to eat.

Meth mites

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Somewhere in the back of my memory I seem to recall that their faces itched, and that they do it to themselves? Not sure though.

Meth mites

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Mostly just giving up on everything. Same with most drugs. You're content while high, too down to do anything when you're not.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

On top of what others said - like you wouldn't clean your wounds from scratching and what not.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Look at the ankles, feet, and nails of alcoholics - same thing.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Most people tend to pick at themselves when on meth. They get a creepy crawly feeling, so they constantly scratch and pick. EMT here.

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Q very common side effect is feeling like you have "bugs" under your skin, so people will scratch and tear at their skin, I think there's /1

Watch the last Episode of 60 Minutes. Congress has hamstrung DEA at the behest of Big Pharma.

8 years ago | Likes 140 Dislikes 10

you can make money off of opioides/morphines? is that stuff expensive in the US?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 4

I listened to that one

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Just watched it. Super fucked up.

8 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

The worst part is the guy who co-sign the bill is now nominated as Trump's drug czar

1) Light cavalry used sabers. Heavy cavalry used swords. Mine has a 35" blade, fullered & single edged for 3/4s, diamond sectioned &

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

2) double edged for the rest. Basket hilt, skull-crusher pommel & wire-wrapped leather grip. It is not for fancy sword work like a foil.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

3) it is a butcher's blade.

US Rep (who is Trump's pick for Drug Czar) and now all are saying "If I'd known what was in it, I would never have voted for it" Seriously?

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Then why the fuck don't they repeal it?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Some are making "repeal" noises but McConnell and others are talking about "re-examining" what they were paid to produce-watch the 60 Min 1/

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

piece -it's seriously shocking-bill was written by ex DEA top lawyer hired as VP of Pharm co. -50,000 doses sold to town of 300 etc. AWFUL

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That's a lot more to so with opioid abuse than meth. Not that the drug war has been very successful anyway....

8 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 1

can't remember any "war on..." that has been very successful

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

The war on Nazis was pretty effective but they've backed off that one hard.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

just that it wasn't called "war on nazis". unlike those war on terror, war on drugs, war on cancer or whatever
