Not one mention of Joost Klein from the Netherlands, where I hear the party never ends

Snow? In the Netherlands that far to the coast? A rare sight.

I live in australia, WESTERN australia, its never cold here.. never. I want to live somewhere like this so badly.. Then i read about how pipes explode and you can't walk up a hill because of ice and i dunno.... maybe its not so bad.

Beautiful, just beautiful.

As someone who never gets snow, this looks both magical and cold

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Beautiful! Reminds me so much of Amsterdam and Malmö (Sweden).

M’n stadsie! (My city!)

I was there for a conference in the 2000's and we landed just before a snowstorm. It was awesome.

I'll take a one way ticket, please.

My grandmother grew up near Utrecht (Woorden). She told beautiful stories of playing outdoors in weather like this, especially the winter the schools were closed due to the war. She made it sound magical (even the part during the war. I think 8 was the right age to be in 1944).

I moved out of texas on July 4, Im now in a place where there is supposed to be snow...but its over 80...AGAIN! Come on winter! I want the quiet of a heavy snowstorm

We can provide 24 inches of snow over 48 hours and a week of temperatures at 10 fahrenheit. For all of Texas, especially Galveston.

Loved living in Utrecht, beautiful city.

How is the cost of living there? I imagine it must be relatively high or getting there, given how it's such an attractive city for living and working.

It has the quickest rising house prices of the country I believe.

1 year ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Well it's not cheap to rent I know that much. I renovated my brothers house that he just bought. And lived there for 1.5 year. Also this was over 17 years ago.

3th most expensive large city in the country, 12th if you include the villa enclaves.

Soon it will be back, blessed snow and goodbye to ticks and mossies

Not in NC it won't.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Eh, hardly. Living in Utrecht snow has become a real rarity.

Just visited Groningen. Was not expecting to get nibbles so much...

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It won't, lol

Enjoy it while it lasts. Someday soon you'll see snow for the last time.

I live in Wisconsin, and tons of my coworkers talk about hating winter. It’s like… yall are straight up CHOOSING winter.

Because here, "snow" lasts 2 days max and is a thumb think, at best. Don't get fooled by these idealistic pictures. We don't get real snow here in these parts anymore. We get slightly frosted rain.

As someone who grew up on the Illinois Wisconsin state lines and now lives in Calid, read as Ohio, I miss snow.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Climate change ought to put a stop to that!

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I heard somewhere that in the Netherlands, climate change is actually causing more snow, and less dry, freezing weather. Winters are "wetter" than they used to be. Don't have a source though, other than my own experience.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Well my own experience is that we barely get any snow at all anymore, so idk what to tell you.

Hello ability to add more fashionable clothes to stay comfy, instead of remove the maximum legal amount of clothes and still be so, so fucking hot and sweaty every forsaken minute of existence.

This. We get like fifteen days to wear our winter clothes in Arizona and I look forward to it every time!

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I can finally dress in layers again.
