I got to drive a 2015 on a race track in Las Vegas. Fast doesn't even begin to describe the experience. I felt like I was going to plaid.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Someone else replied that they did too. I’m planning my next vacation there!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm waiting on the next generation. If they ever come out with it

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

it’s due. When Nissan does change a model it’s a complete redo, ground up. Look at the Maxima or Titan trucks. LOL may need a G suit! LOL

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

GTA dlc looks great!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Absolutely love these cars,I will own one of these beasts some day

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Look into a lease. Or a “left over”model year. Nissan had a very generous rebate on these, at least in my area, Washington, Pa. $20K.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I really like Skyline's and gtrs!

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

Wow

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Me too, but my boss made me stop. Said it frighten the customers!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Clearly a grandma car, the seats are permanently wrapped in plastic.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It just came off the delivery vehicle at the dealership. GTR has to be perfect when the customer picks it up. Each 1 like a proof mint coin

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Debating whether or not to wait for the new R36 or just get one of these next year

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Either way, can’t go wrong. If we have a leftover, this is the greatest savings. GTRs are a year ahead. The 2019s come out about March, 2018

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Either this year or next I’ll have enough to finally get one. Or I’ll wait and import an R34 as I have always wanted one.

Pretty! Shiny! ...not stick?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Manual can’t shift fast enough for peak performance. Needs an automatic

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I really, really, like these GTR's. I don't want one, but I like what can be done to them and what they can do.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You can aftermarket customize it for higher horsepower. We have a customer that did. Had to register in WV cause of PA emissions test.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I want to flog on it for a week in a controlled environment, like leguna seca or willow, & never touch one again; best affair ever

A friend of mine’s dad drives a GTR as his daily driver. Talk about a life goal.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Life goal in that scenario is to be able to afford the maintenance to daily drive not the car haha.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What? Did you cash out your bitcoin?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Not the first thing on my list, but if they cashed out high enough, it’d be the second!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Wow I wish I had a car

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

When you see it, sit in it, hear that engine, drive it, even slowly, instant love...

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

A buddy of mine has a 1700 hp one. He has put more than 300k into that car. He's gone through about 2 engines and 3 transmissions.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Does he need to wear a G-suit? Lol that’d be so breathtaking it’d be scary! Love to take I drive in it at a track, like Daytona.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

His second car is a Ferrari.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I have never felt a more nimble, controllable, and yet demonically violent car in my life.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm not impressed, my '93 corolla will show this GTR who the boss of speed, pussy and glamour is.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Save some of them for the rest of us.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I know, needs crowd control for all the women lining up when you pull that Corolla out of the garage!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Raced this baby dream at the speedway in Vegas! For such a heavy car it whips around corners with grace and agility.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You are lucky! Next time in Vegas I will definitely do that! I’m restricted to under 4000 RPM & with my boss in the seat next to me! LOL

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Wish I had a spare 200k here in Oz to get one!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Only need about 1/2 of that. Very nicely equipped starts about $120K MSRP; that’s before any rebates, etc. Beats cars prices 2-3x more.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Besides selling the car, we have to advise buyers the estimated costs. (Example:4 wheel brake & rotor replacement aprox. $4-5k)

8 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 2

I’ve had a love affair with this car, and even driven a few when I worked as a valet. Had no clue maintenance was so much.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Dealer prices on a $100k car. The cost for a quality set of 4 rotors is around $1000, and it's a super easy job. Nothing special about them.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Thats about what im looking to spend on my car lol. Crazy

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

I'll stick with my 350Z, then :-)

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The Zs are great cars. A whole lot cheaper than the GTR. If I could afford to buy & maintain either, no choice, it’s GTR. On my budget, Z

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

And I'll stick with my focus RS. Because even Z cars need a hero

So not an oil change...

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

It’s the performance, higher horsepower, etc. with Nissan International Motor Sports (NISMO) you aren’t paying for badge; it’s performance!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Lol, or just change the fluids yourself. They hold about 5.5 quarts of oil, even using redline it'll a total of about $60-$70.

I’ll take: “Not Understanding how Warranties Work” for 400 Alex!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

The GTR reminds me of women, because it's beautiful, I love it, and it will never be mine.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ditto, brother, imagine how I feel. I can look, touch, softly drive but never do what the GTR was made to do! Kinda like 1st “sex”.Frustrated

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

A guy at my gym has one. I got to sit in it, but not drive. It's like the most frustrating lap dance imaginable.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Imagine that every day. Starting it, driving it around the lot to detail & not being able to drive it the way it’s meant to be..

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Everything on the car is serves a purpose. Example: Some of the air scoops cool the brakes. Takes curves like you’re going straight!

8 years ago | Likes 204 Dislikes 11

The GTR is turning out like the NSX. It's been around a lot longer than you think but still great. For others, the GTR came out 10 years ago

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

I think if memory serves me right, the first Skyline was 1957...

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Unlike the indicator lever on a BMW?

8 years ago | Likes 67 Dislikes 2

That’s usually “operator error” from what I understand...????

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I hear that is a rare options.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Booooooom!

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

It's an automatic?

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Dual clutch gearbox and paddle shifters for lightning quick manual shifts. This is what those auto hatchbacks with +/- positions imitate.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

All R35s are automatics, yes.

Uhm Corvette Z06

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Most. The Maserati Quattroporte(sp?) Is not one of them.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Cheaper than most though. the Track version about $135K. Less than that for a basic, that’s very well equipped. And they lease very well too

8 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 3

Easily the best sub 100k performance/sports car. Saw one take off against a lambo a few years back and it smoked it off the line.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

My old boss bought one cash for 80k. God it's so fast

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

My boss won’t let me drive unless he’s in it! Gotta keep it under 4000 rpm during the break in period. I promised I would-he didn’t buy it

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

His reply to my promise!

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

brake cooling ducts are nothing new or specific to GTR's, bruh.

8 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 44

So? He is just giving an an example.

8 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 2

"Everything on the car is serves a purpose. Example: It has windshield wipers" ... Even things that don't have a function serve a purpose.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 15

I don't think that was his point though.

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Literally everything on most cars serve a purpose. Whether it performs a function is a different story. Everything still serves a purpose.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 9

Most cars you say? Let's get literal then!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Never said it was, only that everything is functional. Brake cooling was an example of 1 such item.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

"everything is functional" could literally be said about everything.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ya U R right. But why I referenced it was because I remember, for example, hood scoops that weren’t open into the engine. Stuff like that.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Are you ok? You seem to have a lot of negative energy. Everything ok at home? With the missus? At work? like all your past comments R neg.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

am i wrong? just cuz I'm pointing something out, that doesn't mean it's negative. you even said I was right:

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Work for Nissan-this bad boy came in. Only 4 people in the world build the engines.Builder gets engraved name plate on motor. Wicked fast!

8 years ago | Likes 396 Dislikes 8

They should use some better font than brush script tho...

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Nice work Izumi!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

We had 2 come in together with 2 different names.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

4 master takumis each with their own team of takumis. All built by hand, no torque wrenches, everything is put on by feel.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yes and every engine has slightly different horsepower. One of my fav episode of old Top gear where Jeremy drives around in Japan

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Some old dude in my small city owns one

Is it true that the hp is different on each engine because of how they are handbuilt or is it just marketing?

8 years ago | Likes 62 Dislikes 1

Thats is what I've read and been told as well. The variation is only about 5-10hp

8 years ago | Likes 48 Dislikes 0

mostly marketing, even mass produced engines have some variance, from an engineering point too much variance is a BAD thing though 1/2

8 years ago | Likes 35 Dislikes 0

as it suggests the manufacturing tolerances and quality control are somewhat sketchy

8 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 0

I'm so jealous

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

We sold one of these at my dealership!

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Nissan dealer? I work for the one in Washington, PA. We sell Mercedes Benz too. Only 2 brands we carry new.

AMG has been doing it for years. I can email the guy who built my engine; my German sucks though.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

The AMG history is amazing! My dealership sells the Mercedes Benz too and the Nissan Brand.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They are beautiful. My current AMG is 500HP of pure fun...when she isn’t in the shop. Never selling.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Although i love new gtrs, i still wish they had an option for a manual transmission.

8 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

me 2; but a manual can’t provide the max performance this automatic can. However, it seems like today a manual is a great theft deterrent!??

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I wish everything came with the option.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I sold a Z car with manual. Buyer never drove a manual before. Insisted that he wanted one. Wanted to learn to drive 1. He did great.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It would be slower with a manual.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Very much so

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yes the paddle shifting makes the cars 0-60/0-100 faster, but at the end of the day I prefer driving a manual. Its much more engaging imo.

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

The only thing that held be back from buying one is the fact they don't come in a standard. Again this is all my preference.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

the only thing that holds me back from buying one is that i'm not in that tax bracket

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Even with a manual it's not going to feel engaging. Not to say it's a bad car, just not something you buy if you want to feel connected.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Electronic power steering takes care of that (hint:take the fuse out for track-style handling

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

More engaging then just slapping paddles though.
