Good shows like Brooklyn 99 and The Brave are being cancelled even though they have better reviews than shows that got renewed (you may not agree with me that these are good shows but my point still stands). TV networks need to realize that not only with tv shows but also with sports, that streaming services are taking over. They need to incorporate better ways to gauge a show’s/sports event’s ratings that includes streaming and figure out away to make money off it. Currently I feel like most people aren’t sitting down for scheduled TV time slots and are using Hulu and other streaming services so networks aren’t getting accurate ratings. Keeping shitty shows on air and getting rid of shows that do very well on streaming platforms probably wont make networks more money in the long run but probably push viewers away from their network.

The market will adjust itself. Whatever you do, don’t legislate it.

If the Net Neutrality repeal holds up, streaming might take a really bad hit.

It seems like eventually streaming with trump tv networks

Yes it will, and networks that don’t jump on board will be left behind. That said Brooklyn 99 was on Hulu and I loved it. It obviously

wasn’t getting the numbers they wanted (even on streaming services) if it was cancelled. Networks often cancel shows too early (Firefly) but

Brooklyn 99 isn’t a good example. It has several seasons and they wouldn’t cancel it if it made a lot of money. It’s also a bad example
