I don't know who this guy is. I approve of the slogan. I'm not convinced that the call to action in his speech is the right one, but I am exhausted and can't think of a better one right now. Well wishes to Iran. Everyone gets free. Fuck hierarchy.
I'm an old fart and not very much into his music alltho I like the songs that I heard from him but he's a very charismatic guy and good for him he uses his podium to make people aware of the things going on in the world. The world needs young people like this to tell the old fuckers who run it into the ground to fuck off.
I had no interest or knowledge of this man until he appeared next to Ozzie, and from that point on I have both interest in, and a little more knowledge of this man. He’s a good egg.
I find mutual ground with good people. Cause good people want good things for people in general and I support that. We can disagree a bit on the best method to get there. But one thing NO good person agrees with... is debasing, attacking, maiming or killing regular people to make their ideal come to fruition. Because if you agree with that, you just aren't a good person.
I really like this dude, he always, always seems to stand up for the oppressed and marginalized. Not a particular fan of his music but really like the dude.
"You can fooking keep that." I don't know much about this bloke but the lil bit I've seen of him makes me think he's a decent dude. Also I think he's hot, but that's beside the point.
he's not making the right genre for his skills and that's his label's fault. He's a vocal powerhouse and can speak to a crowd like nobody's business, but the pop rock isn't for him.
Not really into his original stuff but his cover of Changes at the Ozzy/Sabbath farewell show in July blew me away, although a big part of that is just the emotions of the crowd in that moment too. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oJZmO5mByVY
He has a lot of different stuff so it depends on what you're looking for.. My personal favorite is Lowlife He also did a cover of I was made for lovin you for the movie The Fall Guy which is very good. He did an intro for an anime some people might recognize which is "Abyss" from Kaiju No. 8 "God save me, but don't drown me out" is very reminiscent of mid 2000s emo/scene
Iran is about to get bombed, isn't it. When people start talking like they care a lot about women's rights in the Middle East that's what usually happens next.
Iran has been under attack since they booted the Shah. You aren't going to get a moderate govt under those conditions. Throw in massive sanctions package to crush the economy too. Iran needs to get it over with and underground test an atomic.
This. Actual Iranian guy, pretty secular guy, showed Iranian women are pretty free to wear no hijab. You can check videos of malls in Teheran. Corruption, nepotism, oligarchy, regime who utilise Islam to perpetuate their agenda is nothing more than what America does. Less we forget, last year America and Israel bombed Iran and put sanctions affecting their economy even more. The protests are not about freedom and equality for women, they just tagged along and western media muliplied it.
My kid got me into Yungblud. There seems to be some sort of weird backlash, especially in the metal community because Ozzy dug him. He is aces in my book, though. He can write a catchy hook and more importantly watch any candid footage of him with a fan and you'll understand, he gets it. Seems to be a cool lad.
The only time I've seen him before this was when he gifted Ozzy a custom cross, apparently as reciprocal gift since Ozzy gave him one of his before. He gave it to Ozzy, IIRC, in the backstage of his goodbye concert. As a lifelong Ozzy fan, I liked that.
Having just listened to him for the first time in his collab with Smashing Pumpkins, he looks like he's making rock or metal, but he's writing pop hooks. The image clashed with the music strongly.
He's not for me, but I don't think he deserves backlash. And metalheads will argue the pedigree of anything.
People tend to forget that you can appreciate the artist and their skills/values/whatever, and find the actual art they produce utter dogsh... not to their liking.
Dude. Ozzy married a woman that tried to have Kneecaps work visas revoked. Because they spoke out on Palestine and she's an Israel supporter who hates Palestine.
Here's what she had to say at the time: “Music’s primary purpose is to unite people. It should not be a venue for promoting terrorist organisations or spreading hate”, she said, singling out Kneecap’s “aggressive” political statements.
“This band openly support terrorist organisations. This behaviour raises concerns about the appropriateness of their participation in such a festival and further shows they are booked to play in the USA.”
This is an idiot. Iran already got rid of their hijab laws. The “revolution” in Iran is an Israeli and US operation. If the US is suddenly concerned about Muslims, they should be helping the one currently being genocided in Gaza
You don't have to be a bot, but RT? Not a credible news source. And yes, women are showing their faces in defiance of the laws. And the regime has temporarily decreased the enforcement of hijab laws, but the laws are still in effect.

What source do you have for the claim that they've abolished their hijab laws? This says otherwise: https://factcheck.afp.com/doc.afp.com.78XX7WG
And just because the US has an awful track record when it comes to foreign policy, doesn't mean Iranians themselves don't want change.
