I don't know who this guy is. I approve of the slogan. I'm not convinced that the call to action in his speech is the right one, but I am exhausted and can't think of a better one right now. Well wishes to Iran. Everyone gets free. Fuck hierarchy.

No idea who this guy is but I support anyone who will use their platform for good like this

2 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I'm an old fart and not very much into his music alltho I like the songs that I heard from him but he's a very charismatic guy and good for him he uses his podium to make people aware of the things going on in the world. The world needs young people like this to tell the old fuckers who run it into the ground to fuck off.

Who is this?

I stand with the people of Iran, and against US Imperialist Intervention in Iran.

I dunno who you are, Mr. Funny Pants, but keep on keeping on.

I am chuckling away at this comment.... bless +1

I've never heard of this lad before but I like him.

Who is this guy?

As if the US people were free

Proud of artists using their platforms for justice

2 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

These artists are the Pete Segers & Woodie Guthries & the Joan Baezes of our time. Guts & Music & Empathy for the people, all of them.

I was wrong about him in the beginning. I’ve changed my mind and he is one of the good ones. Intelligence allows me to change my mind.

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

the situation is so tense there though, like people are dying from the commotion

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I liked him already, but god damn I love him now

I stand with Youngblud

I had no interest or knowledge of this man until he appeared next to Ozzie, and from that point on I have both interest in, and a little more knowledge of this man. He’s a good egg.

2 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

I hate the stand because of the last ten years of performative “support”

2 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'll sit because I'm tall and don't want to block the view of those behind me.

2 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Didn't you pay attention? It's the women in Iran you're supposed to stand with.

2 months ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Thank you yes this is an important distinction. I appreciate the correction

2 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

He is a remarkably based dude. I stand with him on most issues.

2 months ago | Likes 38 Dislikes 1

I find mutual ground with good people. Cause good people want good things for people in general and I support that. We can disagree a bit on the best method to get there. But one thing NO good person agrees with... is debasing, attacking, maiming or killing regular people to make their ideal come to fruition. Because if you agree with that, you just aren't a good person.

I don’t know who this is but I like him already.

2 months ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 1

He’s the new singer of Aerosmith.

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yungblud, has some good music. Ozzy gave him his cross before he passed

2 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

I really like this dude, he always, always seems to stand up for the oppressed and marginalized. Not a particular fan of his music but really like the dude.

2 months ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 2

Not taking issue with the sentiment, but holy shit is everything else about this little fucker insufferable.

2 months ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 26

Well that's certainly a hot take.

2 months ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 2

I literally have no idea who this guy is.

2 months ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 1

Do you feel better now that you’ve shared your negative opinion for no reason?

2 months ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 9

"You can fooking keep that." I don't know much about this bloke but the lil bit I've seen of him makes me think he's a decent dude. Also I think he's hot, but that's beside the point.

2 months ago | Likes 94 Dislikes 2

I looked at him and thought, "that is an attractive man"

2 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Great guy, absolutely awful musician

2 months ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 27

Clearly some must like him.

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yes, some people do have broken ears.

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

he's not making the right genre for his skills and that's his label's fault. He's a vocal powerhouse and can speak to a crowd like nobody's business, but the pop rock isn't for him.

2 months ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 1

Maybe that's true, but I haven't heard anything from him that wasn't bad

2 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Well now im a fan and will be listening to all his music.

2 months ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 2

If you need any recommendations let me know :)

2 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

does he have anything that isn't horribly boring coldplay-esque white bread garbage

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Not really into his original stuff but his cover of Changes at the Ozzy/Sabbath farewell show in July blew me away, although a big part of that is just the emotions of the crowd in that moment too. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oJZmO5mByVY

2 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

He has a lot of different stuff so it depends on what you're looking for..
My personal favorite is Lowlife
He also did a cover of I was made for lovin you for the movie The Fall Guy which is very good.
He did an intro for an anime some people might recognize which is "Abyss" from Kaiju No. 8
"God save me, but don't drown me out" is very reminiscent of mid 2000s emo/scene

Iran is about to get bombed, isn't it. When people start talking like they care a lot about women's rights in the Middle East that's what usually happens next.

2 months ago | Likes 55 Dislikes 2

Iran has been under attack since they booted the Shah. You aren't going to get a moderate govt under those conditions. Throw in massive sanctions package to crush the economy too. Iran needs to get it over with and underground test an atomic.

2 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Regardless of what happens in any given Middle Eastern country, the next step being "is about to get bombed" is pretty much a given :\

2 months ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

Like clockwork

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Israel has been bombing Iran for a while already

2 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

This. Actual Iranian guy, pretty secular guy, showed Iranian women are pretty free to wear no hijab. You can check videos of malls in Teheran. Corruption, nepotism, oligarchy, regime who utilise Islam to perpetuate their agenda is nothing more than what America does. Less we forget, last year America and Israel bombed Iran and put sanctions affecting their economy even more. The protests are not about freedom and equality for women, they just tagged along and western media muliplied it.

2 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Bingo! Correct person to listen to right here!!!

2 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

My kid got me into Yungblud. There seems to be some sort of weird backlash, especially in the metal community because Ozzy dug him. He is aces in my book, though. He can write a catchy hook and more importantly watch any candid footage of him with a fan and you'll understand, he gets it. Seems to be a cool lad.

2 months ago | Likes 64 Dislikes 1

The only time I've seen him before this was when he gifted Ozzy a custom cross, apparently as reciprocal gift since Ozzy gave him one of his before. He gave it to Ozzy, IIRC, in the backstage of his goodbye concert. As a lifelong Ozzy fan, I liked that.

And here he is speaking damn well.

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Having just listened to him for the first time in his collab with Smashing Pumpkins, he looks like he's making rock or metal, but he's writing pop hooks. The image clashed with the music strongly.

He's not for me, but I don't think he deserves backlash. And metalheads will argue the pedigree of anything.

2 months ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

People tend to forget that you can appreciate the artist and their skills/values/whatever, and find the actual art they produce utter dogsh... not to their liking.

2 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

if ozzy liked him, you know he's a stand-up guy.

2 months ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 0

Or a trail of ants

2 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

But Yungblud does seem like a stand up guy, no disagreement there.

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Dude. Ozzy married a woman that tried to have Kneecaps work visas revoked. Because they spoke out on Palestine and she's an Israel supporter who hates Palestine.

Here's what she had to say at the time: “Music’s primary purpose is to unite people. It should not be a venue for promoting terrorist organisations or spreading hate”, she said, singling out Kneecap’s “aggressive” political statements.

“This band openly support terrorist organisations. This behaviour raises concerns about the appropriateness of their participation in such a festival and further shows they are booked to play in the USA.”

Fuck her.

2 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Don’t blame Ozzy for that

2 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

This is an idiot. Iran already got rid of their hijab laws. The “revolution” in Iran is an Israeli and US operation. If the US is suddenly concerned about Muslims, they should be helping the one currently being genocided in Gaza

2 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 7

What source do you have for the claim that they've abolished their hijab laws? This says otherwise: https://factcheck.afp.com/doc.afp.com.78XX7WG

And just because the US has an awful track record when it comes to foreign policy, doesn't mean Iranians themselves don't want change.

RT. And no im not a Russian bot. This insurrection is specifically attacking security officers. In Tehran, women are showing their faces.

2 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

You don't have to be a bot, but RT? Not a credible news source. And yes, women are showing their faces in defiance of the laws. And the regime has temporarily decreased the enforcement of hijab laws, but the laws are still in effect.
