Putin was not dumb enough to send actual Russian government officials to meet with Trump's team (which would be obvious collusion), instead he sent non-government Russian nationals with Kremlin links who acted as intermediaries, this is a "cover your ass" move. after knowing this, if your thought process is "well they couldnt prosecute Trump for meeting with non-government people, so the Trump admin is not suspicious at all and im not worried and this is a nothingburger" then you're just being partisan and willfully obtuse, risking national security to advance your own domestic goals

And absolutely nothing will happen as a result...

The first 15 pages of the report are very juicy. I haven't thoroughly perused the remaining 940.pages yet.

May they rot behind bars

I showed my super racist, maga loving, mom excerpts of the senate report pdf. She said it was fake news drummed up by the dems. Ffs

Trump or America. There is no middle ground. He’s guilty of espionage at the very least. If you’re with him, you are anti-America. Traitors

And you right, the really frighting thing is , 40% of Americans are not only single digit IQ idiot, but real KKK potential !

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Sounds like exactly what it was.

5 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 2

We still don’t know what he said to Putin in their private meeting, but we can assume espionage at the least otherwise why no note taker?

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

@TheGhostofElizabethShue

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Yup. You’d think it’d please me but it doesn’t. They successfully kicked the can all the way to election.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And...Nothing will happen

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

BUT HEY, DRAIN THE SWAMP! MAGA2020 WOOOO!!

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Now can he be impeached

5 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Well he's actually already impeached, he just wasn't removed from office.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Could it be that republicans are waking up to the way they got played? No, they're to proud to admit they're dumb.

5 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 2

It's not that they're proud, they just care for nothing but staying in power at all cost. They don't even like Trump but they are willing ->

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

to put us all through this pain to benefit themselves. Their next move will be to wreck what's left of the economy as they are voted out.

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

That bi-partisan committee hates Trump!

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

5 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 3

This is great and all. So what’s going to happen? Nothing as long as turtle is the senate.

5 years ago | Likes 50 Dislikes 2

Vote him out on 3 November, fire Bill Barr 20 January, and file charges 21 January.

5 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Jan 20

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

We have to survive whatever fucking mess he makes between nov 3 and Jan 20. He will start wwiii with Iran to fuck those libs.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Make that a drum beat. "File charges jan. 21!!"

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm usually an optimist, but I feel like so much can happen between now and then...

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

5 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 2

There it is. Honestly, this should just come standard for all investigations these days.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It’s infuriating. Will any of the GOP take a stand? Are any of them brave enough to fight for our country against an obviously hostile enemy

5 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 2

so like, what will actually happen with this?

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Nothing.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

exactly my point. Nothing will be done, even though this twat should be in jail. if anything is done, it is too late

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

And then what? Outcry and condemnation gets you nowhere.

5 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 3

Vote and write, file charges jan. 21.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And then vote.

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Been voting for 30 years... "just one party all giving the same gifts" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eIXwRztIyqE

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yay. We sat on it and did nothing until we knew he was going to lose for sure. All of them need to go.

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

Trump could openly say he’s a despot and had Russian help and nothing would happen since he owns the Senate and Judicial system

5 years ago | Likes 35 Dislikes 4

The spineless cowards don't even want him.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Its ok though, I heard he learned his lesson

5 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

It never fuckin ends with this guy

5 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 6

Consistency is his one virtue.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I thought it would teeter out but no. He harrys on day by day

5 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

So what happens

5 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 2

We vote

5 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

Nothing, same as all the other times.

5 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 1

If you vote for Trump or Biden? Same thing. Status quo. Vote Jo Jorgensen.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 14

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Probably several more years of investigations and trying to convict various people of various crimes. Lots depend on November results.

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Nothing until you vote him out of office.

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

Democrats seem very confident about the upcoming election, but remember that no incumbent president has lost an election since 1992. VOTE!!!

5 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 1

No president has turned his administration into this shitshow before, in the entire US history. I don't think historical precedence is ->

5 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

->enough to predict what's going to happen. This is uncharted territory. I don't think he'll get reelected but I might be wrong.

5 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

The vast majority of people didn't think he would get elected in 2016 either.

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Recent polls only have Biden up 4% over Trump meaning if you take margin of error into account, Trump could actually be up 2%! V O T E!

5 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Smell that? Smells like high treason.

5 years ago | Likes 213 Dislikes 5

It has smelled that way since Day 1. Nothing's going to happen about it, though. :/

5 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

well, technically he WAS impeached.

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

True. And, sadly, that amounted to a big fat nothing. The Senate really dropped the ball on that one.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No no, that’s teen spirit. It looks like high treason.

It's weird, all those trump supporters are very quiet right now. Give it a day before they figure out how to dismiss this.

5 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

No fan of Trump, but reading through this... Ugh, it's not nearly the story it's made out to be. No one has actually been convicted of /1

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 6

doing any Russia Russia Russia things, even here the charge and conviction are basically for perjury only. Which is a bit weird.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 4

Fuck off with this BS.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I'M NO FAn OF TrumP, bUT...

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

This sentiment is common in actual left wing media. Matt Taibbi in Rolling Stone is particularly good on it.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

"No fan of trump" you say that but all your comments attack the left and support trump and his regime.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No, I attack Democrats. They are not left, they are right. Trump is extreme right.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I strongly support universal healthcare, jobs guarantee, high taxes. I just try and be rational in critiquing Trump.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not *everything* he does is the end of the world. He gets flack even for positive things like killing the TPP.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Well at least we agree on something. You are still supporting trump though.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Attacking Dems is not supporting Trump, at least not when you see them as only marginally better.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Doesn't matter to his supporters

5 years ago | Likes 296 Dislikes 5

Doesn't matter to his *treasonous supporters.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Well, yeah. What do they care if Trump colludes with Russia. He stands against their greatest enemy after all, fellow Americans!

Best part is comments show his people read opinion as fact. https://www.foxnews.com/opinion/trump-russia-collusion-senate-gregg-jarrett

5 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

If anything it just shows "they are right". The only solution is to vote him out of office, not to try and convince the 'unconvincables'.

5 years ago | Likes 47 Dislikes 2

or you know, they're traitors too for willingly supporting one? who are we talking about? oh yea the actual traitors proved by history.

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

doesn't matter to the senate either

5 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 2

But it's their report, I'm deeply confused.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Senate is GOP controlled. They had the chance to remove him after his impeachment, they didn’t. And won’t this time if it comes to it.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I sent a link and screen shots of this republican report to my mom. She said "you cent believe everything you read on the internet".

5 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

Then she sent me links to her friends Facebook pages claiming Biden was Satan.

5 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Even more reason to vote for him. An archangel for president, even a fallen one, would be massive! Mess with the USA, go straight to Hell.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Our parents keep succumbing to every danger on the internet they told us about when we were kids. Scams, conspiracies, propaganda....

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

“It’s a fake news hoax” “it’s liberal agenda attacking an honest guy” “there’s no actual evidence” help me with the rest guys

5 years ago | Likes 33 Dislikes 1

Nailed it

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I've tried to debate them and every single time I prove to them there was collusion their argument becomes "he wasn't impeached for it so ->

5 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 1

->that means there was no collusion". They're completely delusional and unwilling to listen to reason.

5 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 1

Yup. I’m not even bringing this new stuff coming back up to friends and family that are supporters. Not even worth it

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

But he was impeached. The Senate just decided to ignore it

5 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 1

Yes, but for a different scandal. But, see, they have different excuses for that one. They always move the goalposts.

5 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

Sounds like treason to me.

5 years ago | Likes 735 Dislikes 8

Even Mike from Perth can see the obvious all the way from Down Unda

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 4

No no... trump is an undercover agent and has now found a loophole that he will close after his 5th term in office. Duh

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

bold you to assume he could even live long enough to last two terms

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Nah Its not treason. Treason is described very specifically as aiding a hostile nation while at war with said nation. Far too many people

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

incorrectly think treason is just anything that goes against the best interests of the country, it is not.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I want to see him go to jail SOOO BAD. I wish that was an option in the voting booths. Oooh lookie! They have a guillotine option! ch-check!

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

He has plenty of other crimes he is guilty of. Like violating the constitution by hobbling USPS where people in rural areas are at risk of

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

not getting their meds because they cant afford UPS/FedEx etc etc. Get him and his swamp buddies in a RICO suit and throw away the key.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Good thing for trump American won't ever hold him accountable

5 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 2

He already publicly said two acts of treason: siding with Russia over US intelligence agencies and he revealed the location of our nuke subs

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I say we arrest them without delay, try them, jail them for a very long time, and run a 2020 election with a decent republican candidate.

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Decent republican candidates don't exist

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Disgusting. Who would want to dig out McCain from his grave? You should be ashamed.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I call dibs on the left tibia!

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I don’t think Mitt wants to do it again.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Oh he would. He would.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's treason in the way most people use it, but legally we have be at war with the enemy being aided to be treason. Charging Trump with

5 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 1

treason would be seen as declaring war on Russia.

5 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

For civilians* military law is different IIRC.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Not that I know of. It has more laws about aiding an enemy, but treason is the same. The last conviction for treason in the US was in 1952.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Well he's broken a few laws, I think that's fairly evident

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It's not, not according to the Constitution which (very narrowly) defines treason for the US. Doesn't mean it's not bad or illegal, just 1/2

5 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 3

2/2 not treason specifically.

5 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 1

they are aiding russia in their attempts to fuck with the usa. i would call that treason as it hits both parts of its legal definition.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Not until Russia is officially declared an enemy of the USA, it doesn't.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Exactly, this is just your good ol' garden variety sedition... which is just treason, but without the war.

5 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Pretty much. Russia's not officially an enemy of the US, so it doesn't count. It's only a technicality, but the law's really nothing but 1/2

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

2/2 technicalities so here we are.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Do we know what the excuse for Manafort giving them voter polling data was? This significant to me.

5 years ago | Likes 109 Dislikes 5

How is polling data sensitive info when news routinely report polling data? This all hinges on Russia being behind DNC hack, for which >

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 13

still no solid evidence per head of Crowdstrike, the outfit that did the forensics.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 13

IIRC the Mueller report says we don't, but I'm not sure because it's been a while. I don't know if the Senate report says otherwise.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

You're a mean one Mr. Newt

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

He own the Russian lots of $ & they used it to manipulate social media in favor of Trump

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Manafort is a Russian agent who answers to Kremlin intelligence officers.

5 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 1

oh RIGHT, THAT excuse. yes, totally normal. proceed

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

He had no excuse, but the reason was so the IRA could micro target their online disinformation efforts.

5 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 2

note to everybody: "IRA" in this context is "Internet Research Agency" which is an arm of the Kremlin to manipulate online information

5 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Thanks for that. I thought "Clinton to outlaw potatoes!" was unlikely!

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I have to admit, I paused for a second there.

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Are they even offering excuses anymore?

5 years ago | Likes 41 Dislikes 3

That was awhile ago though. How does it help GOP for them to have it?

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

It helped in the 2016l election, giving the Russians better info to use in their influence operations.

5 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

there is a UK connection, the guy who created the "dossier" Steele? he worked with Cambridge analytica, they also worked on brexit 1/

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

they specialise on data mining and influencing elections

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I don't understand how it doesn't prove collusion. GOP accuses the investigation to be a staging of a coup but they are doing it.

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

The initial investigation was argued to be baseless, and the most loyl people to Trump have continued to say that regardless of the evidence
