I get bummed when someone has this awful, aggressive take because they’ve obviously got a bee in their bonnet about the subject, but when you look at their profile or comment history they seem otherwise quite likeable with a loving family. Like, how are you such a likeable lad in all other aspects of your life but such an unrelenting ass about this one thing?

Imgur's readiness to jump on a bandwagon is really scary sometimes. I know we all like to think we're the critical thinking community, but getting outraged and emotional has a certain satisfaction to it, which is why it's such a popular method of politics currently. One of my favourite things about Obama was his ability to hear people out and with confident humility, re-educate them. The worst thing we could ever do is just become blue hats vs red hats.
