I know a lot of you on here don't like firearms, and I respect that. That's is your opinion and you're completely entitled to it ... I on the other have am quite fond of them and enjoy them as a hobby, needless to say I am rather proud of these 3 that I have worked on these last few months and I wanted to show them off a bit.

Haha, true to the username +1

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 3

Did you buy the ar like that (what brand) or did you build it?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It started life as a DPMS carbine but I've done quite a bit of work on it.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Oh god. I think i came. These are perfect. Just the right amount of accessory. Clean lines... OH BABY.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Haha, thanks ... now go clean yourself up

Haha, very nice

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Nice. I'm currently looking for an MC Operator myself

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

I highly suggest it

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I like firearms. They can be fun. But I'm not interested in owning any as I don't have time to shoot.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yeah, it is hard to find the time that is really needed for it ... and the money sometimes haha

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Haha, my thoughts exactly

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

C'mon, man. Imgur is full of gun nuts.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Haha, apparently so!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Pew pew :)

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Oh fuck yeah. That's a pretty ideal three range kit. If you could only grab one long arm on your way out the door, which of the two?

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

1/2 Well I've got it set up to be the AR, have my full kit with a full combat load (210 rnds) ready to go at a moments notice, although shed

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

2/2 a tear on the way out the door if I absolutely had to leave my M1A behind

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Very nice. As said by Turbo, M1911 please.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

As a swede who knows absolutely nothing about guns, how much money did you have to spend on these three? Sry about bad spelling and grammar

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

No worries, there is some serious money in these, for the gun and all parts the top is about $3100 USD, bottom $1900 and the pistol $1100.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

If i was American, i would have lots of dakka.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

@OP do you like the CTR stock? I'm thinking of getting it, but I don't know if it's much different from the MOE stock and worth $20 more.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I like it personally. The locking feature really makes it rock solid, I actually had this one on my service rifle, very dependable.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Earle Harvey, John Moses Browning, Eugene Stoner... This one American as fuck collection. /Salute

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

All pioneers in firearm design ... America! Fuck yeah!

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

good shit

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Thanks!

sig? i want their nightmare carry so bad. shot one, fell in love.

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

Is there any love for H&K?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Never actually had much hands on experience with H&K, always heard good things though

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I will admit they are great pistols, not personally an owner of one but love them every time I get my hands on one.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

I'm not a huge fan of 1911's. Polymer is for me; shoots straight, holds more ammo, weighs less and just as durable.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Some say you don't need so much ammo but if there are 5 of them and you have 7 rounds, you better not miss lol

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The last part is not correct, but OK

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Yeah ... .

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Awesome!!! Screw the haters!!

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

Haha, thanks

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

Noice.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Thanks!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Nice scout scope... I work for Burris... remember our forever warranty.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

Nice! Love ya'lls glass

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Oi those are beautiful

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Thank you!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I like the M1A, but I'm not crazy about the paint job on the AR.

9 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 3

Thanks ... yeah, I insist the paint job looks better in person, picture doesn't do it much justice haha

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 4

Pulled the stock off my tiger American and spray painted it with rust-o-leum matte camo colors and looks brilliant

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Quad rails: who needs a gym when have you have them

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Haha, seriously, I'm just so used to them from the army, my next step is to build a lightweight AR

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

M1 kicks ass! All those are top shelf , no joke, pieces.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

Sure does!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This is my dream set up. Though I'd go for a socom m14. I like the modern look with the rails and all

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

Yeah, I thought about it but those rails add a lot of weight to the firearm making it very unbalanced

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

True. But if you go carbon fiber railings you can drop considerable weight. Plus you don't need side rails on a 14, I'd dismount those

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah, I actually had side rails on mine but took them off because it was unneeded bulk

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Love the spring feild with the rail mount and foregrip. Nice.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Appreciate it!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm a firearms fan myself, but I have a question - does "worked on" mean gunsmithed, or just added aftermarket glass/lights/etc.?

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 3

Well, it's a little bit of both, the 1911 is completely stock, just added the under barrel light. The M1A I had to do some drilling and 1/?

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

2/3 Tapping to put on the bottom rail, the rest of it was pretty straight forward. As for the AR I cut down the front sight post and

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

3/3 essentially turned out into a low profile gas block so I could install the full length rail, as well as many aftermarket parts.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

Nice bit of history you got there. 1911 all the way to present day.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Thanks! I'm a big fan of the redesigned classics.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Show us your shot groups! SHOW YOUR SHOT GROUPS!!!

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Haha, would if I had and pictures of them, I mostly shoot steel targets anyways.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

Pretty badass bud. I'm getting into firearms myself. After the BS that went down here, it's time to protect my family.

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 3

It's always important, any certain BS you're speaking of?

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 2

I live in Charlotte, NC. When BLM started threatening to "bring it to the suburbs" I had enough.

9 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

Gotcha, that would be a little nerve wracking

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Yeah, more than a little. The day before I had to get my mother and 9yr old out of the downtown area quickly when the shit it the fan.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

We were getting him outfitted for Cub Scouts when it started getting out of control. We weren't in danger, but it was too close

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Just be sure your family knows they aren't toys and to keep them secure. Firearms can be more dangerous to family members than intruders.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

I'll approve this message any day of the week. As soon as my son is old enough firearm safety is one of the first talks we're gonna have.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Absolutely. Ammo is locked up separate from the firearms. Firearms are all in hard cases with padlocks, and trigger locks on the weapons too

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

I'm not a noob to weapons. Just haven't needed any in a long time. I sat my boys down and we discussed them, and went over the rules, and

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Took the curiosity out of it. They know what it is, to leave it alone. They also have an open invite to ask me questions about it, etc.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

My buddy who is a firearms safety instructor is coming to the house to educate my boys as well. Can't be too careful or over educated here.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Kinda defeats the fantasy of defending your home against an assailant in the middle of the night?

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

No it doesn't. I can get the shotgun and ammo out, locked and loaded in less than a minute. Besides I have 2 very large, protective dogs.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Pretty fast for at least three different locks including loading the ammunition.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's about strategy, planning and ease of execution. Using the firearm in a house with small children is a last resort. Not the 1st action

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Is that a Springfield M1A?

9 years ago | Likes 93 Dislikes 3

Got nerfed to the ground with the latest patch on PTS. No longer best in slot.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Can you share how you added the magpul angled foregrip? You add a rail to the swivel mount then mounted the foregrip on that? Sweet rifles

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

1/2 Thanks! Pretty much, took off the factory sling swivel, then used one of those existing holes and drilled and tapped another one closer

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

2/2 to the magazine well for a second screw then simply screwed on the rail

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Looks like the SOCOM 16 version. Has a 16 inch barrel, as short as you can get without having to get a SBR tax stamp from the ATF.

9 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 3

That is correct

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

It would probably be silly to go any shorter with that round. HK51's are awesome but I don't think anyone thinks they're a 'good' idea.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Agreed 100%

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Thats gotta have one hell of a barrel jump at 16" though I am kinda jealy, think that might be my next buy as I would like to get a 308 semi

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's really not too bad with that muzzle break and the rail keeps it a little heavier

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I don't even think the round burns completely in something less than 18"

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

It is silly. And seriously fucking loud. I've shot .308 out of a ten inch barrel and the damn thing breathes fire.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yeah I'd call 16" minimum for barrel length worth a 308

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That's what mine is and it works just fine at 400ish yards. I need to get off my ass and to go the 1k yd range here. Sig 716 btw.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Did you know the HK51 is just slang for any shortened G3 with MP5 furniture? HK never produced a 51 model.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Yeah I'm aware of that. HK engineers are to smart to market something like that. I know it was tinkerers. I'm not sure but I assumed USA.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yeah, mostly the same re-sellers that slap new furniture and sub-par optics on stuff then double the price.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Hmm, I did not know that, good stuff

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Sure is.

9 years ago | Likes 61 Dislikes 3

Why? AR10 is the same ammo, lighter, and more versatile

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Fuuuck I'm jealous of that m1a

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Haha, thanks, took a few years to finally get it where I wanted

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I am quite jealous, MD does not allow us to own these :C

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That sucks man

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

why do you have the forward pop-up sight in the middle of your rail like that?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

@FatWhiteMan is correct that's just a sling mount, I still have my rear BUS from when it had a fixed front sight, need to get a front BUS

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

If you're talking about the ar15 platform, that looks like a low profile sling mount in the middle. I don't see a forward back up iron.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I have the same one

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Nice! It's a great rifle

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What is the spec on the AR?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

1/2 Well it started life as a DPMS panther carbine, but has a heavy barrel with a 1:9 twist, timney trigger, aftermarket buffer spring and

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

2/2 tube, a Midwest 15" rail, Hogue pistol grip, Troy foregrip, Surefire scout light, EOTech sight and Magpul CTR stock

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Love the SOCOM 16, one of my all-time favorite rifles.

9 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 3

Same here. A friend had one and let me shoot it. I had to find one the next day.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Terrible how addicting they can be haha

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Definitely, out of these three it was the first one I purchased, carried an M14 my first deployment, will always have a soft spot for them.

9 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 2

Ah, the old EBR. Never got to carry one, even as a DM, only had me this fancy M16 they insisted was the best shit since sliced bread.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Haha, was it not? Haha

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

How old are you? Jk, I'm guessing marine, the green weeny always gives grunts old gear

9 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

Haha, I'm 26, and nope was Army infantry

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Probably a designated marksmen, still use variants of the M14.

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I'll be in my bunk

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Beat you to it
