The star in the pentagram should be upside down.

I used to wake up sleeping kids with an airzooka.

I'd forget my pen just to use that quill!

I'm hoping this gets more updoots than OP. No such luck so far

#13- I prefer the wet willy. Less dangerous, and so gross that it strikes fear into the hearts of the drowsy.

I will always upvote this gif

#1- All fun and games until some little asshole spills that bottle of ink all over the desk/floor "accidentally."

These pixels are...

Pre-AP Pre-Calculus? When you're trying too hard to make a class sound important.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Is it me or are all those blurry asf

8 years ago | Likes 181 Dislikes 6

Ur blurry asf

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Youre on mobile right? When @OP puts several images into one long image it does that. It's stupid really, even a waste of time on their part

8 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 0

It's you

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Found someone who looked at the eclipse with no eye protection

8 years ago | Likes 79 Dislikes 1

#1 the fuck do you mean "deter"? I would have never again brought a pen at school if I got to write with a super fancy feather instead! :<

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Yup. That's what they would do. (Work in a school)

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And then they would beg for the pen and fight over it and it would never work.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

#7 is false my teacher yelled at me thinking i was texting but really i was fucking around with a paper clip pretending it was a L.A.A.T/I

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

#7 I've learned to enjoy the small things in life.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

14. The teacher on the left. "Are you eating that doughnut?"

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Shout out to all the teachers/profesdors going back to school. Hope you have a good school year, keep up the good work!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

#4 I read toddler first. The more I thought about it, the less sense it made.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And they say learning can't be fun...

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

MRW 9/11 isn't on the list of 'Things to Remember'

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This is all one image... you monster there are mobile users who browse here!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

The first one would not deter me, I wrote all of my notes in college on vellum with a quill and ink. It did not make me popular.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

BuzzFeed, cool.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Kay, I downvote this not because it was bad, but because it was all one bloody image.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

My name is Kay and I thought you were talking directly to me... Was very confused for a second.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Maybe I was. Maybe. I. Was.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

About #8 it's not à Satan pentagram, this one is a human one, mind ur satanism !!!

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

Praise satan!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Hail Santa

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Hail Seitan!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

#2, isn't that a bit like saying "If you're not already great, please don't try"? Is that not a terrible attitude for a teacher?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not really, he still gives the option to ask for permission.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No, it's "Ask before you make a racket in case there's a reason why you shouldn't".

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My mum was a huge Antiques Roadshow fan when I was growing up. Pretty sure I would've found Appraised before Disappear too.

8 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

What I want to know is why gallop is marked with a line through, but others which are clearly wrong aren't marked at all?

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Which others are wrong

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Some contain letters not in the problem, like spanner for 1. (NSAMEP) Doesn't work unless the font is shit and the m is r/n run together.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah it's just that the font is bad and the picture is blurry. Nsamep isn't an anagram for any words I can think of.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Also I may have just figured out the easiest way to remember how many S are in Disappear...

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

#26 knowing how much time is left can be fairly important to know how much you have to hurry up, or if you have to skip some problems

The main hall of my university had no clocks in it because "students would be detracted looking at it". Even the profs hatted it.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

High school teacher here: very few of my students know how to read an analog clock; they'd try to peek at their phones instead.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

That.. actually saddens me.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Me, too, my friend.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Wait what ? It's fucking easy ! How can they not know how to read it ?

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Beats me. I guess since they constantly see digital clocks on phones and computers, they haven't retained the skill of reading analog time.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Just.. not a skill that's useful anymore I guess. Computers and phones have digital clocks, and you have at least 1 of those with you

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It must not be taught then, because even though there are a ton of digital clocks in my life, I learned how to read analog

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

*A few million years late. Lightyears are a unit of distance, not time.

8 years ago | Likes 48 Dislikes 2

Well, you're most likely not late at all. If a star is visible to the naked eye, it's either a supernova, or well within our own galaxy.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's also not astronomically accurate. Even though light travels a far distance 99.9% of all the stars you see in the sky are still alive.

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I mean, as far as we know...there could be a universal collapse cascading towards us, a couple lightyears away now, and we're just seeing 1/

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The last glimmers of these stars before we, too, are overtaken. 2/2

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

And it's wrong: https://xkcd.com/1342/

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Only for some stars. There are stars that are thousands of light years away.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Ive made the kessle run in only 12 par secs.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I did it in 11

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's both. However, all visible stars are still existent, and the furthest (v762 cas) is only 16000 light years away.

8 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 4

We can't know that. Many of the stars we can see are near the end of their life and could actually be dead by now.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The 5000 naked eye stars are all within 16000ly. We think we have good models for when stars explode, and only a handful look likely.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Of that handful, none of them are naked eye visible and likely to blow close to 16000y.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

100B stars in our galaxy. One dies every 50 years. Visible are 5000, so stars we can see die every 100Myears. 100M/16000 =~0 chance of a

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

"it's both" Are you suggesting a lightyear is both a unit of time and of distance? Because, no.

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Yes, both. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spacetime

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 6

That logic would apply to any unit of time or distance. So I could say my lunch breaks are 30 miles long, even if I only go three feet. 1/2

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

This is precisely how GPS actually works, and is a fundamental property of the universe as we understand it. Time and space are not

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 5

That logic is total crap. Read the actual definition of the unit. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Light-year 2/2

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Thank you, Strostkovy, for charging face first into that tremendous level of stupid for me. Science literacy has been taking a nosedive. :(
