Looks fresh

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Awesome! Something very different! The 1uz-fe is under appreciated in the car world. Feel free to post some links to how it moves!

10 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Nice rim-job OP

10 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

Turbo 1UZ is an interesting build. Drift car? Or justhe want the power and needed extra came tuning with the custom LCAs?

10 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Extra camber*

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Do everything car, I enjoy drifting, my dad likes drag racing so it was built for both

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I'm amazed you could fit at turbo uz in that bay. I'm looking at a 5.3 vortec TT for my mk3 supra and it's gonna be tight..

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I always upvote cars. It's just too bad some joker put the steering wheel on the wrong side!

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

British colony sorry

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That's ok. We were too. We found a cure though.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

what inner coolers are you using?

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

intercooler* Chrome says it's wrong, but it's not.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Frozen boost water to air, and a Civic Type R aluminium radiator, fitting a air to air would mean cutting up to much car

10 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

I always wondered why my drug dealer drove one of these. J/k. What's it got, a small block 305/350?

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

its roughly a 242..

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

1UZFE from a Lexus- www.lextreme.com/1uzfe_info.html

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Nice! I liked how you modified the lower control arms to have built in camber adjustments.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Its actually to do the opposite haha

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Most people who aren't really into cars aren't going to understand how amazing this is and how much work this is to do. Kudos.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Literally first thing I think on pic one, "This is going to be a Kiwi, I can feel it..."

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I was exactly the same! From the first pic I was almost certain it was NZ.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Man I was gonna skip this, but I'm currently building a new PC and I thought, "This guy is probably as, if not more, passionate about (1/3)

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

cars than I am about computers." So I went through it, tried to understand what was going on, realized that you put way more effort (2/3)

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

into this project that I can into 50 computer builds. I thoroughly enjoyed that, and the admiration that came afterwards. (3/3)

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Thanks dude, means a lot. It was a team effort

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That's gorgeous! Is the 1UZ under it's stock compression? And, what are you boosting?

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Hey OP is that a 7110 international in the background? I love mine things are bulletproof.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Wicked build man, kiwis and cars.. +1nz

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

That's a lot of work, for which I applaud OP.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Never encountered this toyota @OP but thats probably cuz I'm from America. Nice build, and great attention to detail. You should be proud!

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Thanks, this body is the same as a RA64 Celica with a different front end on in. It was only released in the Japanese market

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I like it. Personally my fav celicas are the 73-75 and 76, but this one has a good look too. Good stuff man.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

How's with traction? Are first and second gear at least exist? Also, I need to hear that beast.

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

3rd gear looses traction on boost, cruising at 20kph. Car is running 235 Nitto semi slicks. Traction is a serious issue. Videos soon

10 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Third gear, ouch. Sounds like there will be additional steps in this project. Also, put somewhere link when vids will be on the net.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

My 470hp mustang was breaking loose with 275 Nitto NT05s. What V8 is that?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Lexus 1uz 4 litre quad cam

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Any chance of fitting wider tires?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Nice job man! If someone wants to get into this with zero knowledge, what's a good place to start?

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Look at other peoples work, start basic and work your way up. My first car i built was an abortion, and i just kept learning

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Buy a Civic. Lack of knowledge never stopped someone from modifying their Civic, believe me.

Looking forward to seeing you take this down the strip!

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Looks good man.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

We need a video!! I want to hear and see it run looks awesome!

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Will do an update when I get one up

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Awesome!

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Aww yeah build aint complete until sick rims.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

2 Sets too, semi slicks and road tires

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Noice.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Seriously, though, that's a good build. Do you have a writeup of the process?

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

No not yet, may do one

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Please do!

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

@OP not gonna lie. I came a little. Amazing job dude and I thought my Corolla Levin

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

*Was cool

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What kind of Levin? AE92, AE101, AE111? or AE86?

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Questions that need answering. My brother has an AE111 and it's great.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

no story? no details? Any interior work? You have my interest.

10 years ago | Likes 68 Dislikes 3

Half cage, door cards, and factory digital dash. 2 Bucket seats and harnesses, and a stereo :)

10 years ago | Likes 46 Dislikes 1

Story: Bought shell 2 years ago, started building it with my old man. He wanted V8 turbo, so we built it. Cut and mod everything ourselves

10 years ago | Likes 55 Dislikes 1

Is that single turbo running off one header?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What V8 is that?

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

1UZ

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I dont know shit about cars. But can the chassis of that engine cope with the suped up power? Isnt there structural weaknesses?

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Car is fitted with a rollcage for this very reason, has under body bracing as well

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Ah cool. I take it you upgraded the brakes n such too?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Scrolling through thinking "please don't be an LS". Perfect choice with the turbo UZ.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Sack religious = when you wanna sleep in but your balls trying to take you to church

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

UZs are great motors, but the LS is so popular because it's compact and light. Hating on LS motors is silly.

10 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 1

Doing a 5.3 Vortec TT on my mk3 supra soon. Shooting for 600whp. It's just a better motor all around. Would liek to keep in family though.:(

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not hating on the LS, it's one hell of a motor. I just prefer Japanese engines in Japanese cars.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

In New Zealand you can get a 1uz for $600 USD with everything, an LS is $4000 USD. More parts available to us too for the 1u

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Where are you in NZ?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They're great engines, but are overused as fuck. Everybody and their brother has an LS or turbo LS

10 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 4

That sounds like a pretty hipster thing to say, but I dislike torq thrust wheels for that reason so what do I know

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I'mma go with: Probably because it works.

10 years ago (deleted Dec 20, 2015 12:28 AM) | Likes 0 Dislikes 0

The only reason I don't like the LS engines are the looks of the intakes. Tuned Port Injection best look all the time.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

That they can be still be had in the US under $1000 (iron block and 'broken in') certainly helps.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Car stuff on the front page? Car guys unite!

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

A real sleeper that one. Nice work.

10 years ago | Likes 398 Dislikes 1

Haha it's probably pretty loud though..

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I bet it goes like 30 speed.

10 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 2

The slicks give it away a little bit for a sleeper though. I would see those and think "hmm!"

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Always check the brakes, that'll indicate how much power he's pushing!

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Except you would hear that mf comin no doubt

10 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

That's for the dochebag in the gixxer at the red light.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Thanks, its an animal. I would say a religious experience to drive

10 years ago | Likes 91 Dislikes 1

What size is that engine?

10 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 1

4 Litre, being turbo charged it puts out 470hp, and the car weighs 990kg or 2200lb's

10 years ago | Likes 50 Dislikes 0

Film it

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Is it the toyota 4 litre v8 from the century, or a more modern motor from a toyexus?

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Popular in soarer and crowns. Great engine. Is the centry the one off v12 toyota?

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Nice, im going to chuck one in my mx73 cressida

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You should share this with mighty car mods. They're car dudes from Australia and do lots of stuff like this

10 years ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 1

This is getting mad downvotes, will I loose my album if it gets downvoted to far? I just want to host my images here?

10 years ago | Likes 814 Dislikes 29

@trls250s car throttle. its a website for car guys. post pics there. everyone will appreciate it

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You got my vote because it's a Toyota turned sleeper.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Imgur doesn't seem to like modded cars.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

How does it handle with the extra weight in front ??

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This is amazing, man. Have an upvote, on the house.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Very impressive! I'd love pulling up next to you thinking I'm big shit and then have that thing pull hard and dust me. Love a good sleeper!

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Holy shit, who would downvote something this awesome?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Have you taken it out on a drag strip and done a quarter mile? My friends sleeper R32 does it in ~11 sec. He said it was around 350 to 400h

Nice, you're getting there.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Fuck em. Nice job OP. Congrats to you and your hard work.

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Screw the downvotes. You did something badass and that sleeper's gonna surprise the hell out of a few unsuspecting fools!

10 years ago | Likes 52 Dislikes 1

I love basic cars with amazing mechanics inside. Nice car, and nice tires too, op :-)

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

If it gets down voted far enough, men in black suits will come to your house and confiscate your camera and all pictures. It's the law.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I always up vote builds. Best hobby to have.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Fuck those guys. This is awesome!

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

How does in handle with the extra weight in front??

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Screw them green tree huggers! That car is batshit crazy! I love it! Please more!

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Post a movie to youtube for us to watch

10 years ago | Likes 31 Dislikes 0

Sad, but I think you need to post pictures of very average looking, photoshopped celebrities to get upvotes.

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Hoon video and you will be forgiven.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

+1 for your passion on the ugliest car ever. I also drink to your work and devotion!

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 3

It's a good post. Put some descriptions on what's going on.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Fuck the haters - your album will stay and can be linked to other people.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This is a hell of a build man.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That's wicked. Don't let the haters get you down, they're probably just jealous. If my shit hasn't been pulled from down votes, yours won't.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I've got a Toyota AE86 with Willwood brakes. Clean build, very nice.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I got my stuff through Barry at MRP too : D

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Nice Guy Barry, he has a very fast car too.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I know it's soo cool. I've gotten alot of stuff from him and he's freakin' awesome.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This post is so much better than all the shit going to FP, ignore the haters!

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This build is awesome. What was your timeline? How much did the build cost you? I'm almost done my supercharged 81 Corolla!

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

2 years, dont know about budget proberly $10k~$15 USD?

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

keep up the good work and ignore the haters dude. Just dont publish next time, keep private and when done, post up a link to a video ;)

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

sweet ride! not a huge Toyota fan, but the craftsmanship you've put in to this is beautiful!!! +1

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

nice work mate

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

this infuriates me! sometime imgur can be a cunt. after all most ppl in usersub are useless jobless social filth with nothing to do.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 3

I am not jobless

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

This thing is straight sex btw

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

new zealand?

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

One and only

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I see mad up votes dude. 2.9k. Was this a ploy for upvotes? Haha. Cause It worked

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

All honesty, no. When I first uploaded it it had 300 views, 30 upvotes and 29 downvotes.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You won't lose it.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I truly envy people like you who can dedicate time and such to make this happen

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I voted in an upward direction.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Just don't "post/publish" to imgur next time. You can share the link but people cant vote on them. It's what is done for reddit.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I upvoted because I think you're a fellow kiwi living in manukau area ..... I'm quite possibly wrong +1 anyway

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Fuck the downvoters. That's some great work!! I'll always upvote posts that show a kickass car build!

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I truly envy people like you who can dedicate time and such to make this happen

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You can do private albums. I have one going for the Land Rover build I want to do.

10 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

The word "mad" was used. MCM fan?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Please tell me there is video?! And maybe some specs?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Will post an update when I get a video sorted

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ignore the down votes man. Imgur isn't very gearhead friendly from what I've experienced either. Great job and keep up the sweet build.

10 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

Apparently Imgur is more concerned about gender fluid equality than kick-ass shit like this lately. We need more of this

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

BUT IT'S A MALE DOMINATED ACTIVITY THAT DISCOURAGES FEMALE INTERACTION DUE TO THE WEIGHT OF MANY PARTS! BURN IT!

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

I'm going to start my own Imgur. With blackjack and hookers. And car builds.

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I'm doing a 1UZ swap in my 3rd gen 4Runner right now! I was afraid of posting too for the same reason- everyone seems to like D&D and anime.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I love seeing 4Runners being done up.. Especially 3rd Gens. Make sure you post when you finish!

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Here's my upvote. Good work fella

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I imagine that little thing is pretty quick with a turbo v8

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Is it AWD,RWD or FWD?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Rwd

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I would guess its rear, I cant see an axle boot on the picture of the front wheel hub.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeha I assumed but the pic with the 2 axles kinds threw me off.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

RWD. I'm doing the same swap into a 1UZ in a 4Runner and I combined the 1UZ tranny with the 4Runner one so I will have 4WD

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Sweet mechanical jesus please upload that too

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm not a member of any forums so I guess I will upload it here... As far as I know I'm one of the few people in the US to do it.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

What year is the 4runner? I have a 99 5 speed and would like to swap its 4cil engine to something bigger.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Would a video be to much to ask for? I'd love to see this things run

10 years ago | Likes 163 Dislikes 5

10 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

But you made it to the front page, which is ncie

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0
