That's the very least they can do considering the first rule after the beginning of the war was a prohibition of departure for all male citizens! While the women were allowed to flee to safety the men were taken to the front. So yes, I expect a little respect at the very least!

During the summer offensive, Zelenskyy said the Russians knew where it was going to be before a single sandbag was laid. It’s naive to think the Ukrainian army is 100% trustworthy, they have their share of corruption, but I’m betting than info was seriously fucking high level, like Pentagon level high. Ukraine has has to trust the West with information, but also know that it’ll likely end up in Russian hands anyways. Then the West shat all over Ukraine when the offensive failed.
