Free instructions will be added to rebrickable soon.

Edit: Instructions are live! https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-86058/Pattspatt/self-loading-dice-tower/#details

It can be used as an old-fashioned dice tower too - just drop ‘em in from the top.

The trap door at the top has a delay before it drops, which helps make sure the dice don’t get to the bottom before the loading “courtyard”.

@op I can hardly wait for instructions.

Dats really dice.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I don't play tabletop games, but that is fucking awesome. I wish I had an excuse to use it anyway.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Doce goes up, dice goes down, dice goes up, dice goes down, dice goes up, dice goes down...

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

@op yeah, imna need some instructions my dude

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Amazing! Thank you so much!

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Would also love the instructions, @op!

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Yahtzee!!!!!

4 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

I don't get it. It's not super fast with tons of information presented in a quick manner, and it also doesn't have a cup.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Fantastic! The delayed trapdoor is a very nice detail, and I like how the dice get cast without any hand touching them!

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'd make the base a little bigger towards the back to prevent tipping if you pull the lever too hard.

My son is joining my husband and I for his first D&D session on Monday. Hoping instructions come out tomorrow or Monday to built it

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Should be out by Monday at the latest!

Found it! Thx!

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Do I store this under Lego or DnD?!

I never got around to sorting my favorites. Can one favorite be in multiple folders?

I have no idea

Neat!

I've been looking for a good dice tower. Seriously considering this. Please update with instructions.

4 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Please update me when instructions are available I'll legit go out and buy every piece I need for this masterpiece.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Feels like you could already get started now if you wanted.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yes but without instructions the pieces would be meaningless.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

But you can go secure them now so they're ready once you get the instructions.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Thank you, this is gonna be awesome and then I can pretend I know how to build things when my players ask.

At least OP made the effort to show the required pieces.

Link to the instructions? Pretty pleeeeease? :-D

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Op truly delivers.. to be honest, I've searched rebrickable every day since I saw the post for "dice tower".. found it a few hours ago. :-)

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Also - thank you VERY much! This will be perfect for Blood Bowl for me and my son! :-)

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That whole 'let's skip how to actually build the trap door' is making it quite a challanging build! :-D

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Those photos should be there - what step are you getting stuck on?

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Img_7508 doesn't seem to have a how-to..

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Between image 7508 and 7539 there seems to be quite a gap..

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Weird! Yep, there shouldn’t be a gap there: /a/S1II5On

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My DM would call it an illegal roll.

4 years ago | Likes 91 Dislikes 3

Your DM sounds lame

4 years ago | Likes 79 Dislikes 1

Why?

.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Bc he’s jelly he doesn’t have one of these

4 years ago | Likes 82 Dislikes 0

You didn’t touch the click-clacks.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

My guess would be the lack of smooth surfaces to bounce off of. Lego bumps make it harder to see loaded dice

4 years ago | Likes 30 Dislikes 2

If your DM even suspects loaded dice, that's a reason to find a new group

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's against the very nature of D&D to try and cheat with loaded dice...

4 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Yep. Trying to "win" at a game you can only win by enjoying tre experience.

4 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

After further review, could also be the fact there arent more levels to bounce off of on the way down

4 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

Make it taller and add a level to bounce off

4 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Yeah, more likely it just doesn't really roll the dice well enough just kinda slides them

4 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

The rolls each time were 1-6-19, 2 3 11, 1 6 still spinning, 3 7 12, 4 7 17 and 5 11 20. Seems pretty random so far.

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

If you're concerned about rolls not being random enough, you could swap out some of the bricks on the front of the tower w/ angled ones. 1/2

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I've never actually witnessed loaded dice. Liars and math cheats, yes, but no bad dice. Beginning to think it's just an grognard's tale.

4 years ago | Likes 35 Dislikes 0

My brother has a set, they're pretty obvious though (one is only 5s, the other is 2s and 6s)

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You may have seen unbalanced dice before but that would be manufacturers error probably not intentional.

4 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

I knew a guy who worked at LGS and rolled dice between customers to find ones that rolled high or low.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If you're playing D&D with people who make you worry about loaded dice, you're playing D&D with the wrong people.

4 years ago | Likes 168 Dislikes 0

I was DM for a one shot and accidentally killed the players in the first encounter cause I was rolling so well. Turns out the dice I was 1/2

4 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 0

borrowing were loaded dice they got as a gag gift. Really shocked the players and I. Max damage crits each turn. We laugh about it now 2/2

4 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 0

I am truly looking forward to the instructions.

@pattspatt can you give detailed list of parts and some pictures of construction? Here and not just on "rebrickable".

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The instructions have too many photos for an imgur album.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

A true lego fan could do it from just the picture on the box. ?1

4 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 1

Think you could build the lego lambo without instructions?

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I could get pretty close.. would like the challenge actually.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Think the hardest part would be get the internal mechanism done properly.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Holy Crap! I never noticed your posts.. I feel you’d be the person for the jobs
