Pauferro and spalted maple

Bocote and katalox, with whitetail deer antler overlays

Not sure what these woods are...jatoba and ipe maybe

Contrasting ipe.

Whitetail antler on the limb tips. I use it on all bows... Very tuff stuff.

Gorgeous bows. As an trad archer id be stoked to shoot one of these!

Spalted Maple? Is that Canadian wood?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Any wood can spalt. Its a fungi that invades the wood after its dead and just before it starts to rot. The trick is getting it before it rot

These are beautiful. If you haven't already, you might consider making them and selling them.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

About tree fiddy

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

God these are beautiful. How do they shoot? I mean, are they mainly show pieces or are they pretty functional?

8 years ago | Likes 51 Dislikes 0

They are very good preforming bows. Smoothe draw, whisper quiet. 45lb 190 fps at 28" using a 520 grain arrow.

I've tried making my own before I had kids, never quite got it right. No time now. Really good work OP.

Interesting, but surely every bow does not have identical performance?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

SHOW ME WHAT YOU GOT

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

What is the price and can you build heavier (60+lbs) ones?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0
