oh sure, when a family goes to the museum it's wholesome, but when I go it's "a natural disaster" and "the wrath of the gods".

In England, "a bit wet" means "utterly destroyed".

I see Percy Jackson is at it again

You would think they would have had a book that would have predicted this.

7 years ago | Likes 143 Dislikes 2

They probably did, but someone interpreted it as 5 years from now.

Alright, now, which of you heretics has offended Posidon?

Poseidon? Send for the man v

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Man I love those movable library shelves, death traps that they are.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I actually worked with them, and they have locks that you always flip to secure the shelf before entering to retrieve books.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I know, I have too, but my schools reference library was built in the 60's and a lot of those locks didn't work/kids never engaged them.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

well, something has to go into the library jam pots that they sell at the open day fair.

ohh I see, I was confused because lately all images on the frontpage seem to be like that

Surely the Flat Earth protect us from flooding.

7 years ago | Likes 465 Dislikes 5

The earth is not flat! It's a huge ball of ice so that it just appears flat to us.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Flat earth would just flood the entire earth before it ran off the edges, round earth would have it all just drip off the bottom. /s

7 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

No, there's a giant wall of ice around the perimeter. We'd all still die.

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

What if the wall of ice melts? Then it'd all drain off and those who didn't drown would be fine

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Melts? You must be one of those Discal Warming conspiracy theorists.

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

If we all move to one side we can just pour it out!

7 years ago | Likes 101 Dislikes 0

Dont be a fool! What if we go to far and all fall over!

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Does a flat earth spin like a flipped coin? Or direct with elephants and turtles involved

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

To the window! To the wall!!!

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That's foolish, just dig a hole

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

To the side where we are...

7 years ago | Likes 36 Dislikes 0

...drowning.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You're complicating things by making Earth a 3-D cylinder. Just treat it is an infinitesimally thin disk and it all makes sense.

7 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Everybody hold your breath!

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Two each for most of the books, but seven of each for the cook books.

7 years ago | Likes 652 Dislikes 0

Ha! If the Earth is round, all the water will just fall off the ball!

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

- said a mental patient.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

This is very clever!

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Subtle.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It blows my mind how many people don't know the Bible says two each for some animals, seven each of others.

7 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 3

In fairness, you can't even get most Christians to actually read it, let alone everybody else.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

But isn’t that... too many cooks?

7 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Not really. It takes a lot to make a stew.

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ya, but they're british cook books. Zero is probably fine.

7 years ago | Likes 183 Dislikes 11

Untrue we have two cookbooks Vol 1: boil, Vol 2: deep fry

7 years ago | Likes 39 Dislikes 2

dont forget the all important Vol 3: ready made meals for your microwave

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Volume 6: Invade other countries, steal their food.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm not saying brits don't have cookbooks. I'm just saying they shouldn't be saved/consulted. You also forgot volume 3: vinegar.

7 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 3

Vol 4; Proper Tea Making, Just in case the British Isles get hit by a meteor and India and China are unavailable

7 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

What about the forbidden volume 3: flavour?

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

need special permission to see that one

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Is this a reference to something?

7 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 2

… the Bible? It wasn't just two of every animal, after all

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Specifically the 7 cook books part. I don't get that part.

7 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

The ark had seven of each type of animal that was used for eating.

7 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Ah! Thank you for the explanation. I'd only ever heard the 2x2 part.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ahhh, clever

7 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

So they are like rhinoceros and platypus? Metal!
