Topple the tyrants! What is so hard to understand? You literally have a constitutional amendment designed to topple tyrants. Fucking use if before they come after all of you and you cannot change anything anymore. If you don't act, you are also guilty.
Yes it will hugely impact marginalized people. I was once middle class, now it feels like I am "slipping" and I am okay with that. What I am NOT okay with is the driver's license for state in which I live is not considered "proof of citizenship" and OF COURSE my driver's license name does not match my birth certificate. I am currently planning on obtaining dual citizenship with another country through familial ties. Wish me luck!
They'd have to get rid of the filibuster to pass it, and while that option is possible, it's unlikely they'll do that at this point.
Getting rid of the filibuster would make the republicans, and the republicans alone, responsible for passing or failing to pass bills. They can't have a bill they actually want to fail but that their rhetoric requires them to support any more, because there's nothing holding them back.

GOP is going for the suicide packet in a last ditch attempt to destroy Democracy.

Thankfully, Republicans have pretty much declared it DoA.
DonL9
They want their trad wives to follow their instructions even after taking their name.
WorkerLurker
They can’t win if the married conservative women can’t vote yet.
WorkerLurker
I say yet because project 2025 wants to repeal the 19th.
Dracology
For now. They keep flipping on it one by one.

Anti-trans? It is a vote blocking bill, meant to disenfranchise ALL minorities that can be.

It finally worked out for my wife not taking my name. Never mind, it's a slur against women, but now she can still vote.
manwithsevenlivers
Your name is a slur against women?
11Weasel11
Yes. Think of an old-fashioned term for a cheap, slutt like women.

Nice to meet you, Jason Trollop
