Cliffs of Moher

you have preconceived ideas on what a place looks like before you get there, then absolutely amazed when it's exactly like you've imagined

Looks like where you've gotta sneak past the Portugese ships on A.c. Black flag

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's not wide enough to be my background :(

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Been there last summer. Great experience

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I’d like to see the unfiltered version.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Millions of years seperated by milimetres. Amazing how you can capture them all in one picture.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The sky is so blue.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not exactly laying out the welcome mat there, are they? "Y'all come! And be sure to bring your climbing shoes, & a hundred feet of rope!"

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You’re describing paradise for some, not me, just some others.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Lovely.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

There's blue in those skies

6 years ago | Likes 37 Dislikes 1

Does anyone know where this is specifically in Ireland?

Fake

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Pretty view but the photo editing ain't my bag. Way oversaturated.

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Well done to the person who photoshopped in some blue sky to that photo of Ireland.

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Reality.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Taken after the rain slowed down enough for me to feel somewhat comfortable about taking out the DSLR.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

There’s no wild snakes there right? I’m moving, I’m terrified of snakes .

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Correct, only one native reptile of any kind, the very rarely seen common lizard.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Is it that rare? I saw one once in a friends backyard

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I've seen two, ever. A lot of people don't even know about them. I don't know if they're rare, but definitely rarely seen.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah I 100% didnt know there were lizards here till I saw that one

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

We want Moher of this!

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Why isn't the water green?

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

same reason everything is overly blue. overcooked post processing

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Moher :D I got but one good photo from the boat I was on. Water was so choppy. Is it often like that?

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

always up vote the Land of Saints and Scholars

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Don’t go to Ireland expecting this! Home is beautiful, but most of the time overcast and cold

6 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Yeah when I went it was cold, rainy and so much fog I could hardly make the cliffs out at all from the rail. Still loved seeing it though.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Depends on what time of year you go. Just like everywhere else.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Slieve League? Moher?

6 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Possibly Dingle

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Reverse google search says Moher.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Im not sure its either. Might even be northern ireland.

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Indeed- the less visited place

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I see a bird

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Beautiful. I was blown away by the aqua blue water at Moher and Skellig.

6 years ago | Likes 79 Dislikes 1

Water blue water you say?

6 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 5

I’m not sure how to describe the vibrance of the the blue...

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

6 years ago | Likes 62 Dislikes 1

It looks great. Your obviously just jealous because you can’t travel and never see anything nice :/

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Obviously. I've literally been there and roughly 20 other overseas countries, all continents except Antart and Austr. - Obvious jealous

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You wanna play chess random person who I thought wouldn’t reply

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Again you're wrong, I assumed that you WOULD reply. - No thank you, I'm more of a GO player. Goodbye.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Going there on honeymoon in a month, can't wait :)

6 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

Why go somewhere pretty on a honeymoon when your entire goal is to not leave your room... like ever?

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 3

That's MY goal, but she wants to see stuff, too.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Congrats lad, I'll buy ya a pint

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Find a nice pub with a roaring fire, lovely you’ll need it

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Dont be fooled by the above pic, we get a lot if grey skys and the water is very cold. But ye will feel welcome and have a great time :)

6 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Come from Minnesota in the US. Should feel warm :) thanks

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I visited last July and it was outstanding! Don't be afraid to venture outside of Dublin. There is so much more to see and do; like Moher!

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Wicklow mountains, just outside Dublin, Gwendolen Monastery in particular, the valley is just fukin beautiful.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

We went all the way down to the Ring of Kerry and all the way up again to Giant's Causeway. We wanted a thorough experience. It was epic!

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Did it the other way round first time, have spent about 4 months all up over about 10 years driving around Ireland, about same for Scotland.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Glendalough, maybe?

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Yeah, sorry, half asleep, swore I cut an pasted to ensure correct spelling, I've confused the GPS a few times like that.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Was gonna say... nearly got there

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Bring Winter clothes and Summer stuff, Raincoats. Forget Umbrellas, they are useless here.

6 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

T-shirt and shorts for winter stuff? We're from MN. Raincoat sounds good, though.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ill have you know my umbrella survived for 3 years. Three years! In Galway!

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Did you actually used the umbrella? :-D

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Paracetamol, buy lots of paracetamol (it is available to buy, don't bother bringing it). Hangovers can ruin perfectly lovely days otherwise.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I have a little liver trouble so I avoid alcohol (it's quite sad) but I do have the occasional drink. I get drunk fast. And hangovers...

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

...kick my ass, so I'll watch out for that.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Aspro and hydration salts before bed, Hydrolite is the best, big glass of water with both in it. Cant be beat for hangover reduction.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

All true. A fair amount of field research appears to have gone into these recommendations.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Absolutely, a grizzled old medico gave me that advice years ago, it doesnt completely take the hangover away, but geez it helps.
