Neat pop-up card (second concept with artwork)

Second concept of the Bender meme pop-up card. I’ve already improved a couple of things compared to the first concept. The arms now stay connected to the body and I also used a different mechanism to reveal “NEAT”.

I like this version much better. Still a bit rough, but I can now focus on the details and make sure the artwork fits and looks good. That means double sided artwork without any white sticking out, no more visible tape, and cleaner edges/cutting.

Tracing the original scene. This is always a lot of work but it needs to be done to separate the layers and make sure I get the best print quality. I trace the complete image into vectors and use the color palette from the original. I need to adjust the colors a bit more so they come out fresher when printing.

My pop-up meme collection so far. I stopped counting but I’ve got a lot to pick from once I’m going to start with the #popupbookofmemes. It will not be for sale. This is a “fair use” art project and I don’t have the licenses to make this into a product.
