My first cosplay: Fallout Minutemen General

My first cosplay

It all started once I wanted to make the laser musket, and my dad (being the nice guy he is) helped me all the way through! Mind my ugly un-photogenic faces

Starting the stock!

So I took an old railroad tie soaked in tar (the gun STILL stinks a bit, lol) and had my dad cut it out.

My job now!

So then I just sat in my garage, hacking away at this big block with my knife, slowly making progress.

Pretty good!

Here is my balsa, I'm gonna be using it for the laser barrel.

My dad totally didn't do this when drilling :/

Paint done, just need the silver piece.

Ingenious ideas

I got a boat crank from my dad's friend's boatyard.

My dad did all this work.

The whole crank piece is my dads handiwork,"it just works"

Woo! Started gluing more pieces to the stock!

It glows, cranks, doubles as a bludgeon... It couldn't be better!
