My brother's dog, Gia, attacked and bitten in eyeball by a copperhead
He rushed her to ER vet to save her life then to a vet ophthalmologist to try to save her eye, but the venom had done too much damage.

It could have been much worse. Poor thing. Did they need to administer antivenin? As small as she is, she's very lucky to have survived.

I worked in venom research in the 1990's. The science has grown quite a bit since then. Still astonishingly expensive per vial.

Good sized copperhead. But copperheads are generally mild tempered. Like I said, best plan is watchfulness and avoidance.
