This picture was taken this afternoon in the woods at The Royal Marsden Hospital on Daisy's last day of chemo!!

Many of you have followed her progress so I wanted to share this with you.

It's been 850 days since Daisy was diagnosed with Leukaemia.

There has been 8 different types of chemo totalling 765 doses, 19 lumbar punctures, numerous bone marrow aspirations, 260 doses of steroids, 11 blood and platelet transfusions, antibiotics, 118 days neutropenic, with no immune system, 13 xrays and 58 nights in hospital!

On top of all that Daisy has had mucusitus, chicken pox, several viruses, a line infection, has lost the ability to stand/walk, and suffered complete hair loss a couple of times. Through everything she has endured she has kept smiling. She has started school and unlike many others has been able to go full time. She has bounced back from being knocked over and having her leg broken. All this and she is still only 5 years old. More than most of us will have to go through in a lifetime.

We are so grateful to all the NHS, doctors, nurses, and support workers who have been there over the last two and half years; those who have shared their knowledge, care and compassion to help save our little girl and us as a family. We are grateful for all the research into the treatment for ALL that has allowed Daisy to reach remission. There are still 5 years until Daisy can be considered "cured" and she will have to be tested for some horrible things that the side effects of chemotherapy can bring for many years to come. Knowing what a strong, positive and resilient little person Daisy is, we know that she will deal with these with same energy and determination as she has the past.

Fuckin’ right!! This is the great news we deserve to hear. Tell your daughter that she’s my goddamn super hero... but in a less profane way.

No one beats cancer. Congrats on being fortunate. People who die of cancer do not lose. They are not failures.

Kids are made of rubber, perseverance and a disregard for what people expect. Makes them amazingly adaptive (and sometimes a lil annoying)
