DIY treat dispenser

Edit: after seeing a lot of the comments, I apologize. I didn't know this one could potentially be life threatening. I've had a few dogs in the past that loved tennis balls and never had a problem with them. I'm sorry to those of you that lost a four legged friend because of this.

Use a carabiner to leash your dog

Or if you don't have one lying around, just stick the hook part of the leash through the loop and reattach to the collar.

Put a ball in the food bowl to keep them from eating too fast

Freeze toys, bones, and chicken broth into a cake mold on a hot day

It'll keep them busy for hours

Collapsible water bowls for those long walks

Distract your dog with peanut butter or their favorite treat while clipping their nails

If you clip the nail too short, stop the bleeding with a cornstarch and water mixture

The paste will coagulate the blood and stop it from flowing. If you don't have cornstarch, use flour or baking soda.

Use a squeegee to remove hair from your seats

Draw a chalk line around your pet's food and water bowls if kept outside

Ants won’t cross a chalk line because it interferes with their ability to follow scent trails left by other ants

If it's really hot or cold outside, rub Vaseline on their paws before going out.

It will protect their pads from burning or the freezing ground. Just rinse in warm water to remove.

Use a door protector to minimize damage from scratching.

Should your pup eat that?

Alternative step 1: Own a cat.

I just pay petsmart to clip my dogs nails so she doesn't hate me for ~a day

10 years ago | Likes 60 Dislikes 0

Mine is good when we go as long as I don't break eye contact. She has to be able to see me. I let the cutter know. They usually listen.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I do the same. I am terrified of hurting them if I did it. I don't know what I'll do if I ever have a human child. Nails freak me out ...

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Can I ask how much they charge?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Probably around $10

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

yea, I go to a vet to do them. Most of his claws trim on their own but for some reason his dew claws get way too long

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

The dew claws likely never touch the ground to get worn down like the other claws.

Missed in the 'nope' foods: uncooked salmon can cause salmon poisoning disease (nanophyetus salmincola) and is potentially fatal.

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

And both fish and fowl are nope-foods for dogs in Europe. The thin bones split into sharp fragments, potentially causing internal bleeding.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Cooked bones are nopes either way. Just the cooked flesh however is nice for doggies.

No tennis balls! My Beatle ate the fabric off of one and it got lodged in his stomach!

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Read every single one and started to buy the pop water bowl thing and then I remembered that I don't even own a dog.

10 years ago | Likes 516 Dislikes 5

Almost skipped it, then remembered I'm getting a dog next week.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

And THAT is why you always read the title.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Also, be aware that peanut butter companies are starting to use xylitol in their products which is toxic to dogs.

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

If you still are interested in the pop up water bowls, old navy used to sell some for about $2. But that was a few months ago.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

10 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

If walking don't fill it up all the way. Mine never drinks it all, then we have no water for the rest of the walk.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Same here. I don't have a dog...anymore :'(

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You can buy it for me. <3

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I personally didn't find them good for water. They collapsed if the dog pressed it and the water spilled. Good for food though

10 years ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 0

I have a water bottle that sits in a bottle shaped tray. Same concept but sturdier. Pretty common really as well

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm lucky in San Francisco, most places with drinking fountains have dog bowls permanently there.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Same, works brilliantly

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

my dog drinks from my bottle....sharing is caring!

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

i bet less than 1% of pet owners don't know how to loop the leash through itself around a pole

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Rub Vaseline on paws, sit back and let the hilarity begin.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I tried the PB with my dog to try to clip her nails. I just ended up with PB all over my bathroom. You cannot contain 60 lbs of hyper.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I cut my dogs nail too short once and it was like sheer panic trying to remember what to stop the bleeding with.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

my dad did that once with my guinea pigs because they have dark black nails you can't see the quick. It was awful

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's seriously traumatic

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Careful with the peanut butter

Why am I favoriting this? I don't even have a dog.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Tried the tennis ball in the bowl thing on my dog once. He looked me dead in the eye, took it out, and inhaled his food like usual. 1/2

Cook or steam vegetables first! Their short digestive tracts won't properly absorb nutrients otherwise

Yes! When we run out of dog food at the end of the month we give them white rice with steamed broccoli and boiled chicken, they love it!

If you have a puppy- hand feed them as much as possible so as to not get food aggressive with humans.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I used to stick my hands in my dog's bowl and rub all over them while they ate. Worked like a charm.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I used to take his toys and treats out of his mouth constantly. He has no problems, I love it.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

good idea, however my last dog was weird and decided she would only eat when hand fed, so her last few years we had to hand feed her all

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My dog likes for me to be by him when he eats, which is pretty annoying. He often will bring mouthfuls to me and then start eating it. smh.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

weird! Both my dogs liked eating when the rest of the family eats. My current dog will drag his bowl to us if we eat without him

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah I spose it's a pack mentality thing.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I researched the nut thing a while ago. Unsalted peanuts and cashews (like 2 or 3 if em) are totally fine.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

they could be a chocking hazard to a stupid or small dog, which maybe why they're on the no list

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Peanuts and cashews aren't actually nuts. Peanuts are legumes and both are seeds.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Can't have peanuts, but can have peanut butter...

10 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

Peanuts aren't nuts they're legumes

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Peanuts aren't nuts they're legumes

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Walnuts aren't nuts, they're walnuts

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's probably a choking hazard, just like with children

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Nuts are hard on digestive systems. Peanut butter is already broken down.

Who the fuck are these rich people with the freezer space for an icicle cake?

10 years ago | Likes 364 Dislikes 13

Unless you have an office fridge the space will accomidate this.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

not rich and I have been doing this for year, cause my dog loves ice, just use a 2L ice cream container, works great.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

deep freezers are an amazing investment. You can freeze leftovers and can access bulk food savings as well. 1/2

10 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Who the fuck are these rich people with so much food there is no room for an icicle cake?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm actually fairly poor which is why my freezer is mostly empty.

10 years ago | Likes 145 Dislikes 0

Also this.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You should fill it with bottles of frozen water, keeping it empty wastes energy.

10 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Chest freezers really aren't that expensive. I'm poor as fuck and have one.

10 years ago | Likes 33 Dislikes 1

Yes! It has been the best investment for being poor. I have a pork roast I spent 10 bucks on and I just found a shoulder 3x size for 1/2

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

the same price so I bought it and popped it in the chest freezer. It will feed the family for two meals plus leftover lunch. 2/2

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Chest freezers are great for when stores have those clearance sales

10 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

I have enough room for an icicle cake in my freezer. I only have a box of Nestle Drumsticks and 4 turkey meatballs in a bag. No dog though..

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Probably poorer people, because they would have more room due to lack of food

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

10 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

#3 - use a big rock instead of a ball. Dogs can easily just take the ball out of the dish.

10 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 1

Or spread the food out on a cookie sheet

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I forgot I had a dictionary extension installed on Chrome. Thanks for the help...

10 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Mine is trained to leave it there. She always gives me the Y U DO DIS? face, but she leaves it.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

And they might go "BALL!" and knock over the dish in excitement.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I dont understand why people have issues with dogs scratching at doors.. spend time with them! Clipping nails? Teach them some obedience FFS

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Frickin right m8!

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I agree that training can help with the scratching but as a vet tech of 13 years dogs are instinctively protective of paws.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I spend a shit ton of time with my dogs but my newfie is stubborn and the minute she's done her business she wants back in RIGHT THIS SECOND

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Good stuff, except for the tennis ball. Tennis balls are actually very very abrasive and gnawing on them accelerates wear on the teeth.

10 years ago | Likes 167 Dislikes 2

My dog loved tennis balls, he'd find them around the neighborhood and hoard them. But then I got him to love racquetballs, they're safer.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

and only cutting one hole or slit into can get the ball stuck on a tongue, very bad!

10 years ago | Likes 36 Dislikes 2

That's meant so people can get into it you walnut

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 8

People are smart enough to understand the concept. Dogs aren't and can get their tongues caught in the ball and get hurt.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

You have to be careful with that one too because some dogs that tend to be destructive could get obstructed if they tear it apart

10 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

Not to mention if it's a normal tennis ball it's toxic to them. You have to buy the actual pet ones

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

And apparently someone here said their dog died from swallowing half of one so yeah :S

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Not to mention if it's a normal tennis ball it's toxic to them. You have to buy the actual pet ones

10 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 1

How so? I have to ask because my dog destroys the "pet ones" with one bite. Only regular tennis balls last long enough to be played with.

10 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 1

The real ones have fiberglass fibers in the green fuzz coating. Not good.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

thank you. any brands you can recommend that don't suck?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I recommend the KONG Air Dog toys -anything KONG is great really. We trust them enough to give them to future service dogs, so you could too

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

How toxic? My dad plays tennis and for the past five years one of my dog constantly goes to his tennis bag and steals the balls (1/2)

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

We usually take them off her but she keeps going back I had no idea they could be harmful but she's being taking them for years and she's ok

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

So how bad are they, do you know? (3/3)

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

All of these are great except the tennis ball. Only having one opening can create suction on the dogs tongue that can severely harm or kill

10 years ago | Likes 52 Dislikes 4

Besides, lots of dogs are going to destroy the ball in about five minutes. Which makes it a dangerous, close-supervision, non-reusable toy.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Yeah, cutting a tennis ball open is just asking the dog to rip it apart and eat it.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My dog happens to love beer

10 years ago | Likes 70 Dislikes 10

Mine too. I don't usually give it to him, but my friends are assholes. He'll also try to steal rum and scotch.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Dogs also love chocolate but both can send your dog to the vet. Please be careful.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I met a guy at a local brewery that brings his border collie in for a shot of beer about once a week. The dog likes a specific type of beer.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

There's a dog beer that's a bit safer :-) http://bowserbeer.com/

10 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

My Jack-Chi loves a drop (literally a drop) of whisky from my finger.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

This is a terrible idea. Alcohol is poison to dogs, their body can't break down the fermented drink. Same goes for wine.

10 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 10

While not a good idea and it's appropriate to treat alcohol as a poison when it comes to pets, dogs can definitely metabolize alcohol.

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

Alcohol is poison to pretty much everything

10 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

Also onions are super bad for dogs.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Super bad smell later on I imagine! Ha

10 years ago | Likes 0 Dislikes 0

That's why there's a picture of an onion in the Nope section.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yep, looked twice and didn't see it. My bad

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Super bad smell later on I imagine! Ha

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Should say "grapes/raisins." I know, I know, but people dumb enough to feed their dogs beer and cupcakes might not get that.

10 years ago | Likes 1202 Dislikes 9

something i learned from imgur: there is no grape ice cream (partially) because dogs will die if they eat it

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

My dog will follow you around if she smells rum. Goes nuts for it.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Yeah I don't know what's wrong with beer. It's not like I'm getting her wasted.

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Right.. I give mine like the last bottom drops

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This is what happens if you feed them cupcakes, people: v

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

when my dog was young i fed him white grapes once, oh god i could have killed him

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I remember tossing grapes to my grandparents dog when I was a kid, he wouldn't even eat them.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

it says Chocolate, not cupcakes.. I make cupcakes from bananas and carrots so my dog can ahhhhhh who the hell am I kidding, you're right

10 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 1

It even has a cherry on it. I hear they're not recommended.

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Man you're about as full of shit as a Christmas turkey. 'Lil Earl loves him some bud light with his nightly got'damn souffle.

10 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 2

Story time: A Hy-vee by my place had to change the name of "Puppy Chow" dessert to "People Chow" because some dumb lady fed it to her puppy.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Had a border collie that was crazy for frozen grapes. I would give her a few here and there. Luckily, she lived to be 18.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

can anyone explain to me why beer is bad for dogs? I would never let a dog drink beer but i'm curious of the side effects.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Hops are toxic to at least some dog breeds. FYI

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Coming from canada i said to myself "whats the difference" and then proceeded to think i was an idiot for the next few seconds.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

What about coffee? My dog loved coffee..

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

our puppy plays with grapes and then chews them to pieces. nothing bad about them, once in a blue moon when we drop one

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I read this like 3 times before I realized grapes and raisins are, um, related. I need to go to bed.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Raisins are more toxic (don't ask me how but they are) my sisters ex lost a dog because she ate a small box of Raisins behind their back

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Raisins are more toxic because the toxic agent is more condensed. Found this out after my dog ate a box of 'em. Luckily she's ok.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Genuine question, why is peanut butter ok but not nuts? It doesn't specify types of nuts but shouldn't peanuts be ok?

10 years ago | Likes 41 Dislikes 1

The is a picture of peanuts.

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Peanuts are legumes, like beans. Not the same as tree nuts like cashews, etc.

10 years ago | Likes 63 Dislikes 1

Peanuts aren't true nuts, but in any case, from a moment's research (so not authoritative by any means), it appears nuts are only...

10 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

...a small risk to dogs. If they consume them often, in large amounts, or the nuts are not fresh, they can cause problems or discomfort.

10 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

hey if I consume nuts often and in large amounts I also get discomfort.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The is a picture of peanuts.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Imagine trying to shit out a handful of gravel. Or in worst case scenarios, trying to pass a cork.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Also, be aware that peanut butter companies are starting to use xylitol in their products which is toxic to dogs.

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Remember it's going to be used in special, probably low carb or diet, peanut butter and not things like regular skippy or jiff.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I wouldn't feed them jiff. Loads of sugar. Just feed them peanut butter that contains peanuts and maybe a little salt. Nothing else.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I wouldn't feed them jiff. Loads of sugar. Just feed them peanut butter that contains peanuts and maybe a little salt. Nothing else.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Let's remember that dogs are like people in this: they're not all allergic to the same things. But yes, it's better to be safe than sorry.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

I used to feed my dog raisins are 'healthier' treats without knowing. I did it for years until I read (imgur) it was harmful. Never got sick

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Hi, can I ask you a question? My puppy is obsessed with mandarins, I don't give her any but my dad does when he comes over. Is it okay?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My dogs loves grapes, eats them fairly often and never had an issue with it. Not saying this info is wrong, just that I haven't had an issue

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I think its bad for their kidney or something.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I fed my dog grapes all the time and he never got sick :| He especially loved frozen ones.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

yeah my dog eats grapes from time to time but found out he's allergic to poultry tho :/

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Grapes/raisins aren't toxic to all dogs, but there is no research/way of knowing which dog will be affected and which won't.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Wasn't there recently a post about how you have to be careful with peanut butter because some use xylitol which can potentially kill dogs?

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

We spilled beer once when my caton was a puppy. Never seen him happier. Also he's pretty stupid now.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

'what about'/and sultanas? (they are not raisins, sultanas are grown that way, raisins are grapes that dried up in good conditions)

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My mom has 2 twelve year old labs that loooove beer

10 years ago | Likes 173 Dislikes 11

My dog was extremely afraid of beer. He did puncture a four pack of guiness and proceeded to eat the beer/snow. Got shit faced then afraid

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

My pup loves beer too. We dont give it to him, he just smells it and licks the bottle. He is sneaky.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Dogs like the taste of beer aND honwsylt, the nutrition isn't bad. The problem is, they don't have the enzyme to break down alcohol...

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I had a mastiff that loved dark beer only. Would taste then snub anything but dark.

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 7

That's not a good thing.

Yeah I don't know what's wrong with beer. It's not like I'm getting her wasted.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

the same also applies to weed, as they can go into an actual coma and die of overdose, unlike humans chemical immunity to THC

dogs are more easily intoxicated, they ahve lower body weights. a human beer is more for them than it is for us.

My mom use to have a grape vine, and she thought it was so cute when her dog ate the grapes... I ended up ripping it out. Doggy didnt get >

> sick though its better safe than sorry.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Agreed, but before I knew this stuff I had a dog who loved grapes and walnuts. Never had any problems with either.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

grapes haven't always been toxic to dogs. Or at least that's what I read on google.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Lived with grape vines and dogs for years. They always ate what they could reach and lived long healthy lives.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

it's interesting because I've read that grapes didn't used to be toxic and this is a modern day issue. Also some dogs show no reaction and1

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

2 some die after the smallest taste of grape

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I hadn't heard of this. Some of the vines are over 100 years old, but some were planted by my parents so not that old.

'what about'/and sultanas? (they are not raisins, sultanas are grown that way, raisins are grapes that dried up in good conditions)

Genuine question from non-dog owner - what's wrong with avocadoes??

10 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

I think it's because of the pit. I know that things like apricots are toxic to dogs because the pits have trace amounts of cyanide or s/t

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The pit. The actual avocado is great for skin and fur, my dogs prefer it over PB and coconut oil.

I'm seeing pet websites that say Avocados being bad for dogs is a myth. Horses, on the other hand... No Bueno Avocado feedo

10 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Avocados contain persin which is not good for domestic animals. Additionally, the pit can cause intestinal obstructions.

MRW people say the avocado pit can cause intestinal obstruction http://media.giphy.com/media/6WJroWFPN2LyE/giphy.gif no frickin duh

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

According to some quick Googling persin is not toxic to dogs.

My dog loves almonds and popcorn. Why are they bad?

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Same question. Mine loves cashews.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The kernel bits can get stuck in their throats. Idk about almonds.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Almonds are just difficult for dogs to digest, so you might upset their stomach. Popcorn is fine unless it's buttered/salted.

My dogs eat popcorn. I searched online the first time and it said it was fine to give them some.

Same question. Mine loves cashews.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

A cashew is fine, but no more than 1-2 depending on their size because of the fat content. Too much fat is extra bad for dogs.

Please do not give dogs broth unless you have made it yourself. Most broth is made with onion which is EXTREMELY TOXIC to dogs.

10 years ago | Likes 39 Dislikes 4

Or access salt

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I'm sure this is true..but when I was a kid in Ukraine my grandma used to give the dog only leftovers and that dog lived until 16 years old

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Це тому що собака заїдав цибулю справжнім салом

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm sure this is true, but your grandfather probably made a lot of his own food, and didn't buy a lot of processed food.

Careful with the peanut butter

10 years ago | Likes 150 Dislikes 7

Oh holy shit that's scary

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I didn't know about this. Thank you.

10 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 2

Have any of you actually SEEN peanut butter with xylitol in it in a store? I looked and couldn't find any.

10 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 2

Yes. They're usually in the health section though.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

There are only a few select brands that actually use that, most aren't sold in stores. Main brands like Jiffy do not. :)

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Merica

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I started making my own. It's freakishly cheap and easy. It has to be refrigerated and only lasts a few weeks but definitely worth it

It's just Jif. Not Jiffy. You're thinking of the popcorn.

Dark chocolate is more dangerous than milk choc. And AFAIK, the lethal dose varies from dog to dog.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Of course, and I would assume that weight has a large role and secondary, breed. He was a small dog, maybe 7lbs or less.
