Best "your mum" moment! Lol

Aug 15, 2024 10:50 PM

My last girlfriend thought exactly like this. Countless arguments. Thought eventually she would see reason. She didn't. Wish I hadn't wasted the time trying, but that's love, I guess.

I mean, a woman that fucks your mom out of spite was not gonna work out anyways. This is why people have red and green flags. Monsters are on the prowl out there.

You know, I had to read this a few times to understand.

If she has sex with him again she can say she sees where he gets it from.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

An ex of mine tried to tell me that I shouldn't have male friends, and then he asked a female friend of mine to send him nudes and claimed that I had said that it's ok. She messaged me about it and I was like wtf. He apparently thought that it'd be ok because this female friend of mine once strip teased for me while she was drunk. So since I had seen her naked before, it would be ok for him to get nudes from her.

"Well yeah, women aren't a threat, because she won't have a bigger dick than me", says the insecure little douchebag.

And cindy can't bring herself to tell him that her lady friend has wide hips, not for childbearing, but to handle the weight of her massive strap on. Ted never stood a chance, and he definitely,

Does.
Not.
Compare.

Still not a threat

Every single time I've brought this up in an online argument on the subject, the person I said it to stopped responding entirely.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I actually take not having any guy friends as a read flag.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I have a confession. I am drunk and it took me a full 30 minutes to realize the meaning in this post. The wording initially confused me. Patting myself on the back here, but when I first saw this I was like "I am not understanding this, I should come back in 30 minutes" and here I am. Mr. Smarty pants.

I've met a few women that were in that relationship. I have no idea how one of them continues to be with that person for 16 years. He got audibly upset when he realized she would be working with a guy.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My best friend’s a guy and he’s like the brother I never wanted. The thought of doing anything at all outside the realm of platonic friendship makes me throw up in my mouth a bit.

Women aren't a threat to me in relationships because I'm poly, and if they love differently than me, it doesn't have to mean I lose anything but a little time.

I've seen a handful of straight marriages dissolve when the husband didn't think another woman could steal their wives and they did and then they go real quiet after that.

The twitter account calls itself Masculine Ego. That's a presumptive self-own, right? Everyone knows "ego" has negative associations for good reason, yeah? Parody account?

2 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

I doubt its an parody, but if it is, its not hard to find parady accounts even stupider. For example there is a good number of accounts that will have "alpha male" after their name. like this:
EternallyIgnorant (alpha male)

Men deserve better than this as examples of masculinity.

No way! A wild RaphDee tweet in the wild?

I know of her because I watch her Twitch streams! Channel name the same name.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I know her as a gamedev and did a double-take. I'd probably watch the streams, but time zones.

Most of it stems from trust issues. They might have been cheated on and find it hard for their partners to be friends with people of the opposite sex. Especially if that person is an ex. I've had several girls abandon me because I'm still friends with an ex. Even though we have no interest in each other besides friends. If you're a jealous type, you're going to find it hard to believe people can just be friends. Just have trust in your partner and not treat them badly. Chances are, consistently

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Attacking them for it might actually turn it into becoming a self fulfilling prophecy which just deepens your mistrust in people.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The idea that you can't have a friend you could be attracted to is ridiculous. All my friends are hot.

2 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

All my friends are attractive in one way or another. My closes friends are a couple and they're quite attractive, I think, but I wouldn't want to bang either of them... Even out of curiosity. They're just nice the way they are

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Someone should explain to Guy that the "Women aren't a threat" thing will eventually bite you in the ass, especially with that attitude.

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

The "boyfriend" implicitly admitting he is a threat.

2 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

But he has a really nice mom, from the sound of it.

NSFW I was always unsure about a friend of friend years ago and thought there were a bit of douche but never really had any solid reasoning to think so. Until one day they came out with "I couldn't live with a girl without fucking her" and, all of a sudden, I had my solid reasoning.

2 years ago | Likes 106 Dislikes 2

Well, that's really fuckin sad. Like I'm glad you no longer have cognitive dissonance over it but what a stupid fucking thing to say/mean. 'i can't function with the opposite sex without being attracted to them" is a really sad way to go. like... Damn.

2 years ago | Likes 34 Dislikes 3

It's kind of even worse; it's "I'm attracted to them and I can't be around them and not get my way."

2 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 1

It's even worserer, "If I have to live with a female, she's either putting out willingly or getting raped".

Wait, you can’t have friends that are of the opposite sex? One of my best friends is female. That’s fucked yo

2 years ago | Likes 262 Dislikes 8

Going to have to stop being friends with them I'm afraid.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My friend group has always been about half and half, with a spritz of nonbinary folks in the mix too. I've never understood why anyone would think it's normal to silo themselves to ONLY friendships from their own gender and leave out the other +/- half their friendship options.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

This is just misogyny. Very normal

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

That's weird, right? Hell, I'm still good friends with my ex, we talk about who we're dating and give each other advice and support. Another one of my best friends is female and I'm officiating her wedding.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Should be able to. My wife decided ten years in that I can no longer have a female friend of 18 years. She was like a sister to me and now we’re not allowed to talk. It’s fucked up.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I worked with a woman whom I was attracted to. We went out for drinks and I made a move. She politely told me she wasn't interested. We've been good friends for the last 4 years. All it takes for women and men to be friends is for the guy to not be a piece of shit.

2 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 1

Its a thing insecure straight people in toxic relationships attempt to enforce, yeah.

2 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

A lot of people think this is a red flag. I, however, think that if you can't be friends with a single person of the opposite sex something is weird about you.

2 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I dated a girl for awhile that worked in a "male dominated field"(sorry, I'm old I don't know what else to call it) and she told me straight up about it and asked if I was OK with it. I told her I was and ment it. I don't have to trust every male she works with, I only have to trust her, which I did. Never was an issue.

2 years ago | Likes 36 Dislikes 0

Is male dominated field a euphemism for stripper/pornstar? Or are you saying she worked in an office or something and was around nearly all dudes at the office?

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I've got one, maybe two guy friends. Most of my friends are women. I'm a guy.

2 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

In my opinion, a man having women as close friends is a green flag. If they feel safe with him, then he's more likely to be a good guy.

2 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

According to stupid people, men and women can’t actually be friends

Those people can’t believe it’s possible to not be want to fuck your friends

Or, that you can fuck your friends sometimes if they’re down. Same sex or not.

Through informed consent, all things are possible

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Many men think this. As if the only reason men are friends with women is to bang.

2 years ago | Likes 103 Dislikes 3

My wife accused me of being too jealous/paranoid of her guy friends. No...Not all of them. I was fine with most of them. The guy that is flirting with you and that is not respecting the fact that you are married is the one I have issues with. She never saw a problem with it but after 2 years of fighting about it, she finally agrees to block him... So I them also blocked his number via the carrier. I know there are other ways to communicate, but he thankfully is to lazy & old to learn to do so.

2 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

For the vast majority men, while it's not the only reason they are friends with women, if given the opportunity with a female friend they are otherwise attracted to, they would. In the end it comes down to trusting your partner. But still, it doesn't feel great to know that trust is being tested.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Because to the men that feel this way, that is true. They don't see women as people, but as fuck objects.

2 years ago | Likes 63 Dislikes 3

My ex was convinced of this. It was infuriating. His reasoning was "well if you give the guy a chance, he would totally bang you." Which, always kinda locked up my brain. I couldn't move past this idea of "the biology of a person allows them to want to if you were interested, then they're only interested in you for the opportunity" as if nothing else mattered.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I have been treated like this when I was one of the only women in a coding class. Even though I tried to interact with the guys etc. I realized because I wasnt dateable/fuckable, I was worthless, so I was mostly ignored and treated like I was simple. Like whenever I spoke the guys would just wait for me to stop talking then act like I said nothing.

2 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

I used to think like this, mainly because I was starving for sex/affection. Then met my female best friend in college. I loved her because she was the big sister I never had, and was happy she met someone. Turned out the dude made her choose between him and me. I still miss her after 15 years.

2 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

........ Doesn't the fact that she chose him with such a demand, over friendship, kinda.... Support the point?

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

well, it hints the the said lady may have given in on the boyfriends requirements.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I mean, after 40 years of existence I have never once known a guy that is friends with a girl and not at some level wanting to bang her. I told this to my wife back when we were dating as teens. I have never asked her to not have male friends because I know she only wants to be friends, and it never fails that eventually every dude that she has hung out with tries to make a move.

Not saying it's impossible, that's just my experience.

2 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 14

It feels so weird to me that we have such different experiences. I guess it depends on where you live, your culture, and the culture of yor specific group of people. I've had close friends of any sex my whole life, and even though I'm sure that a few of them had some kind of attraction to me at times, and I must have had initial or fleeting attraction for one or a few of them, 99% are as romantically interesting as a brother or sister, it's just wrong.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Yeah it is. While I am older, I grew up as an inner city punk/rave/skater type group that was very diverse, and there were always guys and girls in my friend groups but inevitably, maybe after some time, someone would catch feelings.
