There's no way those paintings are breathing.

These look pretty non digital to me. Does OP know what digital painting is?

When you make the art full time, you can spot peoples influences quickly. I won’t name names. Ok I will. jimmy Law.

These are simply breathing taking.

Not breathing paintings. Those are when a live person is painted on so they look like a painting a la Alexa Meade.

Any expert can explain how these ’breathing paintings’ are made?

7 years ago | Likes 129 Dislikes 0

You're allowed to take breaths while painting. It's a little known fact, but the rules of painting make apnea mandatory.

without holding your breath like normal paintings, duh

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Same as any other painting, but with larger brushes.

7 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I'm no expert but I'd assume with paint, there might be a canvas involved in there somewhere.

My question is why are they called breathing paintings? Is that some special technique?

7 years ago | Likes 101 Dislikes 0

Because they are a closer to a sketch - you get the feeling that they are not quite finished yet and they still have room to breathe.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Because all they know is fine dining a-- I mean - painting and breathing.

I've tried time and time again to follow this technique but it always comes out wrong. Uuugggeeee.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Do you know what the technique is called? I really want to try

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Honestly, no idea. I've just tried to copy the style the best I could but can never succeed. I've Googled it before but no avail.
