Please Help Find Aaryanna Nguyen

Description below copied from her mother's Facebook posts. Please call 911 or contact the Gwinnett County PD at 770-513-5000 if you have any information.

"This is my daughter. I haven't seen her since this past Tuesday. I posted this a few days ago but due to a highly insensitive comment, I deleted the post. Comments that downplay or suggest that a case of a missing child is any less significant due to her age is very insensitive and inhumane. She's a minor. And she's not at home. If you have an opinion which does not serve the purpose of helping a missing child return safely home to family -- then please, respect the delicacy of this extremely distressful situation.

I am reposting because family/friends could not be certain whether postings by kind Samaritans were real.

The flyer is real.

Friends, family, compassionate strangers, mothers and our community of #Suwanee, #Gwinnett - my daughter has been missing from home since Tuesday, February 9, 2016. Last seen being picked up from her home in a silver van. It's believed that she is being helped by her boyfriend's family who lives nearby. She has not been seen at school in a week.

Responding officers to the boyfriend's home on the night she disappeared stated that the Gwinnett PD are very familiar with this family and have responded to many calls regarding this troubled household. The actions of her boyfriend and his parents have been very disturbing - the stepfather has responded in a threatening rage, and a threat left by the family on my voice mail directed at my 6 year old daughter.

Known vehicles of the family that have frequently picked Aaryanna up are a 2/dr maroon Jeep Wrangler, dark colored hatchback Ford Focus, and a silver van.

If you have any information, or can describe or take a video/photo of her and the people she is seen with - please, call 911 or the Gwinnett PD (770-513-5000) and reference missing child case number 16-012779 and offer your tips.

Thank you to everyone for their compassion; thank you if you've taken the time to read this, repost, or just by keeping her lifted in thought and prayer for safety. Thank you to all the businesses in our community who did not hesitate to post several flyers in their stores and restaurants and offered to keep them up until she returned safely. And to all the mothers who stopped to hug me this past weekend as I handed out this flyer to anyone who would take it.

My sincerest gratitude for everyone's concern."

I can't imagine, I hope she is safe and found

As the parent of a teenage girl, things like this are why I no longer sleep at night I pray she's found safe.

This mom is so eloquent during this devastating time. I hope she finds her little girl with haste.

I live in this area(just moved there, whoa). Thanks for sharing, we'll keep an eye out.

This is how you put out a flyer for a missing person. With a number to the POLICE. Not some random number that could be a stalker.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

As usual, contact the police. Do not use any numbers shown here, even the ones that say they're for the police.

10 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 10

Holy shit I live right near there

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Upvoted to help with awareness. Best of luck with the search

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I can't fathom what the insensitive comments might have said.

10 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 1

I Hope u will find her. :/

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Why is it that when I search her name, the single hit I get is this Imgur post?

10 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 1

Happens when people don't have very much social media or pictures linked to them

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

She went missing from where I live. I'll keep my eyes open and spread the word!

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

A missing person is a missing person regardless of age. I hope you find her op

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

Good luck finding her.

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Don't let anyone tell you what to do, she is your daughter - no matter how "old" or "young"! I hope she will be found soon! All the best!

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 4

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yes please do!

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

This is the first missing persons post that actually includes information bout the person and a number to call

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Is she single ?

10 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 56

Being overly provocative, so hot right now. Much fun

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Dude..

10 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 9

Can we get a dedicated tag for these? I want to block them.

10 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 11

seriously im in AZ what the fuck am i going to do

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I'm not even in the friggin' US!

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Surely local Facebook pages would be better than a site full of dickbutt.

10 years ago | Likes 68 Dislikes 15

Yeah but fake internet points

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 15

Not at all. If this goes viral it gets 100,000 views on the front page easily. This is exactly where it should be posted. And Facebook.

10 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 3

...than a site full of people who rarely leave the house.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Seeing as how I love really close to Suwanee Ga but haven't seen this yet on Facebook proves it can be beneficial to post it here too.

10 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 2

Same here

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 3

Oakwood here. About 25 minutes out of Suwanee.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

It's been shared there as well, but more exposure is probably better at this point, no?

10 years ago | Likes 40 Dislikes 7

no

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

When 99.99% of the users here won't be anything close to local I'd question the wisdom of that sentiment.

10 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 36

What a fuckin dick

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

I actually grew up there and live 20 minutes away. Will keep an eye out.

10 years ago | Likes 30 Dislikes 2

Any exposure is better than 0 exposure. If even 1 person imgur sees this, it might help.

10 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 3

that .01% could easily include hundreds of atlantans. Atlantians. Atlanti? Anyway this is one of the best uses of the internet, try to help.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I hope she's found! When she is, don't forget to remove this post.

10 years ago | Likes 238 Dislikes 5

Was she found?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This popped up on imgur/random. Checked today, no she hasn't.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Will do. Can I ask why?

10 years ago | Likes 79 Dislikes 14

So???

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

well, for one thing, do you want this information to be the number one result in employer searches for the rest of your life?

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

So people don't still think she's lost, why else.

10 years ago | Likes 42 Dislikes 1

Srsly

10 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 2

You didn't remove the post.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

3 years later. Still here.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Officially 4 years.....

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

And now 5

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm guessing for her privacy and so this doesn't end up needlessly circulating forever.

10 years ago | Likes 148 Dislikes 0

Makes sense.

10 years ago | Likes 62 Dislikes 6

83% of the time when someone shares on of these on my FB, I google and the person is already safe at home, but people keep sharing.

10 years ago | Likes 53 Dislikes 0

*one of these

10 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 0

Not the sharpest tool in the shed, eh?

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 6

OR I had never seen this comment on other similar posts so I wasn't sure if it was an unspoken imgur rule or if there was a legal reason

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 3

common sense is what it is

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 4

The poster doesn't specify...does the "Finders Keepers" rule apply in this situation?

10 years ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 48

Lol this made me chuckle

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 3

Nomination for the creepiest comment of the day

10 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 2

The post wins the "Most Likely to Be Found On Your Grandma's Facebook" award.

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 16

Someones daddy didn't give them enough attention

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 7

I know it's kinda a dick move to be off topic with stuff like this, but why ate there so many people with the last name "Nguyen" recently?

10 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 9

It's as common a Vietnamese surname as Smith is an English one

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

There is a very famous (and delicious) Vietnamese coffee brand with this name as well.

10 years ago | Likes 0 Dislikes 1

Very common Vietnamese last name. Pronounced "when" - but don't quote me on that

10 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

it's more like a "when" but instead of a "w" sound it's a "ng" or nasal sound.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Basically "nyuwen" ish

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

"win" works well for Americans
