Honestly, Karl Urban was a hundred times better as Dredd than Stallone. For one, he NEVER TOOK OFF HIS HELMET!

#7 sucks! You have no taste in films

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Fucking adore this movie.

I'm starting to see some sort of pattern here

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Gimme Dredd till I'm dead

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

IMO Dredd 2012 was better than the Stallone film. Not best film ever but enjoyable.

URNOTTHELAW, IMTHELAW!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I won't lie, I enjoyed this movie.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Gonna go against the flow and face the wrath of fanboys here. While Dredd was a fairly decent action movie, it lacked originality and depth.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

And no I'm not talking about it being a remake, rather how generic the tropes and writing was. Not necessarily bad, but not my cup of tea.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I love it!!!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This is a rated R film based on a comic.

What a Dredd-full list

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I wonder what your favourite movie is

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants obviously.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

+1 for badass movie, but this is the beat movie of all time

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Well, The Thing may indeed be the beat movie, but Dredd is the best.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The one from 2012? That one is the best for sure!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I think you missed out dredd.

9 years ago | Likes 257 Dislikes 4

This post is dreddful!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You're right!

9 years ago | Likes 39 Dislikes 1

That from 2012? That's the great one!

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

And dredd, you can't forget dredd.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Negative citizen, the Hall of Judgement misses nothing.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I just watched Dredd for the first time after seeing this post. That is one hell of a good movie.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

You did?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Didn't they copy the plot from the raid redemption?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yes

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Dredd was very underrated imo. Made on a short budget too

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

underwatched perhaps. but everyone i know who has seen it liked it >_>

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Your friends have good taste so!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Meh Dredd might've had a below average blockbuster budget, but it's not a low budget movie. Rocky was a low budget movie. Dredd had a 1)

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

marketing campaign almost as expensive as its production budget, and still managed to be a box office flop (regardless of quality). 2)

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I didn't know about the marketing budget actually. But yeah you're right about the budget compared to other blockbusters films

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Just a shame it was a flop

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Urban knocked Dredd out of the park.

9 years ago | Likes 189 Dislikes 4

Olivia Thirby was really good as Anderson too

9 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

I liked him and the movie a ton, but Urban's deep voice sounded a bit too forced and fake to me. Especially compared to Stallone.

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 7

I kinda agree here. Its a tad forced but remember he was basically impersonating Stallones version of dredd for 2 hours. That's no easy feat

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Not really. The main inspiration was Clint Eastwood. It was gravelly but not particularly deep.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

When you put it that way, I liked it a lot more.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

You should check out Dredd (2012), I think you might like it

9 years ago | Likes 94 Dislikes 1

It wasn't bad but I thought Dredd (2012) was way better. Sadly its sequel, Dredd (2012), just wasn't as good.

9 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

lol what if this meme was a reality? "shit which one is the third one!?"

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I hate to disagree, but personaly Dredd(2012) was waay better than Dredd(2012)

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

The fuck? I think the Dredd that came out in 2012 was absolutely the best of them all. Even counting the Dredd(2012) and Dredd(2012).

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Man, you are saying that just becouse you didnt watch the Dredd(2012) lts a bit older, but it sums up everything perfectly, even Dredd(2012)

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

makes sense, I suggest you watch Dredd(2012) then Dredd that was released in 2012, then Dredd(2012), thank me later ;)

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Oh you mean the Dredd(2012)? I've seen it. It's just that after seeing Dredd(2012) it feels like it's missing something...

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

THIS WAS AN EXCELLENT FILM. THERE SHOULD BE MORE OF THIS.

9 years ago | Likes 59 Dislikes 2

what movie is it?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Hopefully there will be soon!

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Seriously?

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

There are some interesting rumours circulating the U.K. fX and stunt communities...

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I hope they make another one. Judge Dredd deserves some epic movies.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

More likely to be a show than another film, from what I hear. Urban to reprise role, apparently.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

It was a horrible film. I swear the directory discovered the slow mo button and used it the entire film.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 39

Or they found a beautiful way of showing an intrinsic story element which added positively to an already incredible film.

9 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 2

Roughly 6 minutes of the movie was in slow motion, it's 96 minutes long. One sixteenth of the movie was in slow motion. Just no...

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

& don't get me started on the Jazz Singer; the director discovered an audio and justified it. I assume you hated the Matrix, too.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No, I liked it. I just felt that the slow motion in this movie ruined the movie.
