Pyrs are so lovely! I've only met 2, both mixes (with samoyeds. Major. Major. Floof.) but I guess I mostly love that they look pretty much like my babies.

Hello to your babies! What a boopable snoot. Pyrs…they really are lovely. We never knew about them until my dad found Lucie several years ago. They are gentle giants. If you can handle the fur and like a big pup, they are great. Oh they also don’t listen at all. So just plan on that. And really loud barking. But I wouldn’t trade them for anything.

Sounds like a combination of my dogs. Neither listens. One barks. Maturity~adolescent. However, goldens. Very very food motivated.

Our Pyr mix knows all the commands we taught her but damn if she’s like a cat and just chooses when she wants to listen. I love her stubborn wiggly butt

Oh yes, they know the commands, for sure!! Getting them to follow them, not so easy. And mine aren’t very food or toy motivated (hell they run this place)…so I just deal with it. Love them for who they are.
