They say "Build a better mouse trap"...

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's not a rat.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Wouldnt work with rats. Would just eat their way out

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

so when you say rat, you are talking about his personality?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And then he chews through the plastic.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I don't like this

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Now he can go back in the woods

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

*Mouse

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That's a mouse

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What no little piece of cheese or anything?! come on.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

*mouse *is *arrested

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

And then it chews the fuck outta that plastic + escapes anyway..

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Meh, a panicked rat could chew through that wood or plastic like nobody's business if it really wanted to get out

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I would stomp on it before he could chew out! Hate them nasty things!!!!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It chews its way out.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

1. It's a mouse, not a rat. 2. "is", not "has". 3. You misspelled "arrested".

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I prefer traps where the mouse dies.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Scrolled down and gif restarted thought the mouse got out for a second

8 years ago | Likes 43 Dislikes 1

There are all kinds of wrong with that title

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

tittle

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

He's under... mouse arrest.

8 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 1

Mice one

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

This is america why not us superior american mousetrap [img][/img]

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

Imgur embedding 101: don't use BBCode tags, imgur urls alone work

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

i've tried the imgur alone and it still doesn't imbed it,

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Poor little guy

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 3

Well I imagine they released it or they'd just buy a kill trap so he kept his life.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Until it chews it's way out of there

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 2

maybe.. but it'd be pretty hard to find a decent spot to start chewing on

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Probably. But I wouldn't put it past that dude

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

i mean yea, definitely, if you just ignore it they'll eventually chew their way out, even through hard plastic.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I could not even hurt a mouse or rat. I think they're so cute. actually feeling bad for the guy

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

Well it hasn't been hurt so that's ok. These will be used for catch-and-release, just release about a mile away.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

oh cool.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If the person was going to kill it they would have baited with poison or used your standard murderous mouse trap. Or the board game one

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

yeah, makes sense. now I can sleep again :)

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I swear to god I felt so panicked for that mouse

8 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 3

Same...It really upset me.. does that thing have air holes ?

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 4

It's better than just cutting its head off, but that depends on your perspective.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

There's a pretty big hole at the end. It's how he got in...

8 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

yeah but if he sits down the wrong end its blocked off

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I can say with 100% certainty that it isn't airtight when blocked by the brick. It isn't even touching it or it would get stuck

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Good point. I just felt bad for the little mouse... But you are correct

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

this is a really old design. I remember in the 80's we used to trap and release dozens of mice like this in Iowa.

8 years ago | Likes 176 Dislikes 3

You lived in Nebraska; Iowa remembers.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Who would lease a mouse? Especially after someone already leased it I wouldn't want a used mouse

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

RELEASE?!?!?!

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Why are you releasing all your mice in Iowa?

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

They like the fields

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Or just one.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah, well, I used to bullseye womp rats in my T-16 back home.

8 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

Yeah, whatever you say kid

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Release? Cuz catching them twice is more fun?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Release?

8 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

Like Percy released Mr. Jingles?

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Did you use a plastic or glass bottle?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It was a commercially made trap. Same kind of arrangement, had room for about 5-10 mice

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Perhaps the same mice just came back again because they liked your place so much.

8 years ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 0

Jokes on them spiders will eat them.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

One mouse, over and over and over.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

That's a mouse

8 years ago | Likes 1021 Dislikes 0

no, that's a bottle

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Hey! That fact was pertinent! Username does NOT check out!

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Wrong, that's a moose

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Assault mouse

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Not today. Today it's a mouse, don't assume its species. It's gender is Apache helicopter tho. It's obvious.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 3

username checks out

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Only cause it's inside

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

I was looking for this comment, no idea why someone downvoted, have a plus 1

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ill second that. This is a mouse.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's not a mouse. THIS IS a mouse!

8 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 0

*staring Australianly*

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I've played mousey spoony before

8 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 1

cant these guys just chew their way out?

8 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 0

right but where you gonna find a spot to bite?

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 2

Thats a good point. It could potentially chew through the wire holding the bottle and roll the bottle off the base depending on materials.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

could... but then it would have to push the wires out of the holes. but mice don't understand mechanics that way, and the wires would still

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

stop the bottle from rolling, because the screws/washers hold them up.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The back end, where the plastic is molded.

8 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

the hardest part. also this doesn't taste like chewable things. should i be chewing on it? and i don't think mice would understand "chew my

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

way to freedom" when given the opportunity to move around and look for other ways out. i'm basing this on the fact that this has been used

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

to successfully trap mice for many decades.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I wonder if he made it out

And his name was albert einstein

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Usually when people construct traps like these it's to romeve the pest in a humane way, so he's likely died of old age ^-^

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 2

Or he died of cats

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

ShhhhhhhHHHH. He had a full, happy life!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Left alone in there they can easily chew their way out. You gotta monitor these traps pretty religiously.

8 years ago | Likes 53 Dislikes 1

Thanks for the info

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

You gotta coat the inside with additional mouse traps.

8 years ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 0

Or trap mice

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Or use glass

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Glass would be significantly heavier and might not be offset by the weight of a mouse.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You could add weights to it to mitigate this though.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That starts to defeat the purpose of the simplicity

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Then you have to drill through glass

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

So drill through it.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You're a thinker, I like you.
