Animals in the Avatar World Pt 2

Dec 20, 2015 10:41 AM

Goat Gorilla

More commonly known as Flopsy, King Bumis pet, Goat Gorillas are commonly found in mountains and forest in the Earth Kingdom.

Usually they're very violent and rampage a bit, but once domesticated, they make a great pet and can even do manual labor.

Platypus Bear

Platypus Bears are violent animals more commonly found in the forests of the Earth Kingdom. Although they are quite violent, they can be trained and have been seen in a circus.

Platypus Bears also have the weird ability of being able to shit an egg when frightened.

Eel Hound

Eel Hounds are the go to animal for getting across large spaces of earth or water in short amounts of times. On one, Toph, Sokka and Suki travelled from the outskirts of Ba Sing Se all the way to the edge of the Earth Kingdom in a few hours.

These things are huge, about 8 feet tall and 30 feet long.

Canyon Crawler

From the most boring episode of Avatar ever, Canyon Crawlers are typically found in The Great Divide. They're attracted by the smell of food, and will kill for any on a person.

It has many nostrils and its sharp jaws make for a quick Murder Death Kill.

Sabre Tooth Moose Lion (I couldn't find a GIF so I found Sokka and a grown up Foo Foo CuddlyPoops)

Sabre Tooth Moose Lions are commonly found in the Southern Earth Kingdom, and are absolutely cute when younger. Despite this, they're fierce fighters and protectors of their own.

Don't let the looks fool you, usually they are very nice to humans, and cubs are extremely clever, helping humans out.

Turtle Ducks

Turtle Ducks live in ponds around the Avatar world. They have the head and neck of ducks, but the shell of a turtle.

Turtle Ducks are usually nice around humans, however if they feel threatened or if one of their own are in danger, they'll peck you with their sharp beaks. I speak from experience.

Ostrich Horse

Ostrich Horses are found across the Fire Nation, Earth Kingdom and the United Republic. Usually a beast of burden, these guys are great for getting around without a SatoMobile.

However if you scare them, they will ditch and run, regardless of whether or not you stay on the mount.

Komodo Rhino

An animal from the Fire Nation, Komodo Rhinos are used as beasts of burden and also as sausage.

These beasts are protected by hard layers of its skin, harder than leather. And with three horns, they're not a beast you want to fight with.

Unagi.

A large eel usually lurking in the depths of Kyoshi Island, Unagi are not fun to mess around with.

As it is a carnivore, most residents of Kyoshi Island steer clear of the Eel of doom, however they have no qualms with feeding Fire Nation spys to it.

Apparently they make for great food too, as in The Legend Of Korra, they are edible.

Hippo Cow

A farm animal in the Fire Nation and Earth Kingdom, Hippo Cows are large, and eat anything, even other hippo cow meat.

As it is a farm animal, if female, they are used for their milk as well as making fine beef steak.

Platypus bears also have the ability to shit an egg when they're frightened

Platypus bears are also great for hiding from unalaq. They even poop money sometimes.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

YOU WERE WRONG!

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Gravely.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Are we even sure that the hippo cow is real? Also, that episode in the canyone wasn't boring. It showed really powerful issues and 1/2

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

character growth for Aang as an avatar. Every episode can't be action packed. You need episodes like that.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Genuinely curious about the growth part. He seemed to mostly just lie about what had happened, and didn't care much.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Hippo+Cow=wings. Genius

10 years ago | Likes 45 Dislikes 1

They don't normally have wings. This was during a dream segment IIRC.

10 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 0

That makes much more sense. Wait...

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

"No Fire Lord Ozai, YOU'RE not wearing pants!"
