What can happen when you don't remove snow:

Why not tilt the shovel the other direction? I use a similar shovel and just switch what side the snow pushes of from, works great.

Really really big ones get cylindical, stack them up, pat them down to round-ish. Add snow to properly connect and reinforce.

Heavy snowfall, then wait for a day when it starts melting. After an inch or two has melted the snow will be perfect for shit like this

When it's moist enough for you to easily make snowballs with gloves on, you can make a small snowball and just keep rolling it 1/2
