I feel like you could help me. My girlfriend loves birds... She got 2 cockatiels when she was young but didn't appreciate them (1/?)
As much as she does now. Unfortunately too late. They are cage Bound and she wants to be social with them but they freak out when (2/?)
She tries the get them to come out of the cage. How can we fix this? (She also has a very social able green cheek)

Not an expert by any means, but I'd imagine best to try start with just letting them hang out in the cage in a room with someone, door open.
Just give them the chance to come out on their own terms. Maybe a food dish very close to the door for encouragement. Otherwise, to google?
