Ngl I’m a little gay for Tom’s look.

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Totally gay, and love the look. I want those high waisted suspended trousers. I just want to see what footwear he’s rocking.

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's the braces.

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

When I, an American, first read The Hobbit as a child, I did not know that "braces" was British for what we call suspenders. So the bit where Bilbo "stuck his thumb behind his braces" and blew smoke rings was VERY confusing to me, because the only thing I could think of was the kind that straighten your teeth.

Do they not have coca leaves in Asia? In Peru, they serve you coca tea when you get to the hotel. You need it. Hard to imagine you can get cocaine in that area easily. Idk though. For the record, coca leaves as paste for chewing is the best, healthiest, most productive, least harmful form of drug use I've ever found. Orange moron ruined that though.

What do you consider harmful drug use?

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I never even heard of this! Interesting... so basically cocaine is from this plant, and the leaves of said plant were chewed/used as a tea (and still are?) by local people for a much milder version of the same high, without addiction/withdrawal?

Yes. Chewing coca leaves is an ancient tradition in S.America. It is very nutritious and quite stimulating in many wonderful ways. The coca plant has more than 14 alkaloids to offer that have a range of effects, not just stimulation/euphoria. Cocaine hydrochloride is a version of one of those alkaloids. It is the only one that precipitates out of solution when they melt the leaves down with chemicals. All the rest are wasted. I had coca leaves in powdered form delivered to my home for more (1)

(2) than 10 years. I had a fantastic recipe that included a few other helpful herbs and the right chemistry in the background. I made fresh batches of moist paste that I used all day long. It was great and super helpful with energy levels as I am/was in my late 40s. So much better than caffeine! That ended when Louis DeJoy came to lead the post office four years ago. They destroyed our product but worse yet they destroyed the supply chain. "Harina de Coca" is just like a bag of flour on the...

(3) grocery store shelves in Peru. Inexpensive and plentiful. What's more, you can't make cocaine from the dried leaves so it eliminates any risk of using it for that purpose. I fucking hate living in this dumbass country led by morons. If you're in Canada you can probably still get it. If anyone wants to know more just reach out. I could go on and on about it. If you're in Canada and interested in using it I could give you the online source and I would share my secret recipe.

I'm not sure about the dependency aspect, but coca leaves are also where Coca-Cola gets its name. They are still used as an ingredient in Coca-Cola, but all the fun stuff is removed in New Jersey for all Coca-Cola worldwide

1 month ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Right? And what happens to all that "unusable" stuff when they do that? It's a scam, actually. Remove the cocaine and there is nothing left of the plant to be used for anything else.

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

IIRC it gets sold to pharmaceutical companies under a very close eye from the government. The plant is part of the Coca-Cola recipe to keep the signature taste
