Strange structure just off the PCT somewhere near Timberline Lodge on the south slope of Mt Hood. I think it was near where the PCT crosses Hwy 35.
This one was further south on the PCT very close to the Frog Lake parking lot.

I'd guess a bear hang pole, instead of relying on trees

Obstacles like these:
Grasp lowest bar, leaping usually is required.
Pull yourself up onto the bar.
Continue ascending switching sides each bar.
When you go over the top, decend switching bars until the bottom.
