10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The great thing about most of these movies is that you can sit and watch with your kids 30 years later and they are still awesome!

10 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Princess Bride & the goonies, 10/10, both of them. If you haven't seen them, go now, they're some of the best movies I've ever seen.

You forgot The 'Burbs!

10 years ago | Likes 194 Dislikes 3

I watched The 'Burbs about a month ago for the first time. I enjoyed the movie, but I expected it to be funnier. Acting was great (1)

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 3

How do you know that's one of his favourites

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

"Satan is good, Satan is our pal."

That still kills me. Last summer I started playing this move for people. I have yet to meet anyone who didn't like it.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

the_pizza_dude is my screen name for most games I play. Corey Feldman is my favorite character in most movies he's in.

Hi relevant, I'm dad

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

"I want to kill everyone. Satan is good, Stan is our pal!"

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

(2) But the jokes were flat and old. Perhaps they were funnier back then, but if watched now it feels like a copy of movies that copied it

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 4

I've spent the last three minutes trying to pick one of a few dozen quotes to pick from these movies. Too many good lines.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I like your taste in movies. Raising Arizona is one of my all time favorites. Great camera work and symbololgy.

10 years ago | Likes 38 Dislikes 2

Ugh, I couldn't bear the Sonnenfeld years of cinematography for the Coens. Thank God for Roger Deakins.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

"Boy, is that a panty on your head?"

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

The convicts coming out of the prison hole screaming... being born into the free world.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Friends watched it in the backseat while I drove cross-country, so I haven't exactly seen it. But OMG, so much screaming. SO MUCH SCREAMING.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You would be screaming too if you forgot your baby on the roof of your car. Then went back and almost hit it in the road.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Symbolism. The word you're looking for is Syyyyyymmmbolism.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The last Starfighter. Wanted to believe

10 years ago | Likes 95 Dislikes 0

Ah yes, the old 'Excalibur' test.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That was the first video we rented when we got our VCR (late 1984). To 11 year old me, it was the greatest thing ever.

Turns out I forgot about 6-7 others as well. My notes had a second page...damn it lol

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Look fwd to part 2

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Read Armada, by Ernest Cline (guy who wrote Ready Player One, also super awesome). It's basically Last Starfighter, but (sorta) believable!

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That movie was the best thing ever pre-90s. But it has NOT held up over time.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Forewarned & expectations lowered accordingly

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It would be SOOOO easy to do a special edition with upgraded cgi though. All of the CGI and live action scenes are filmed separately.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I honestly can't decide which needs the overhaul more, the CGI or the life action.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My parents refused to tell me why he was laughing so much at his own joke. I just assumed I understood absurdist humor at a very young age.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Given your username, I can understand their hesitancy to explain humor to you as a child. You have a gift my friend.
