No.... fucken... way..

I don't need more reasons to be bitter I don't have a Switch.

7 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

The switch is the best console we've had in decades. Not the most powerful or best selling, but innovative and genuinely fun to use.

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Like...woah.

The Spanish Inquisition was more expected than this.

That trailer was amazing... totally worth saving until the end of the nindies presentation ?

Woop woop!

As a person who knows only superficial things about CotND and Zelda, this seems like a neat idea. And no doubt the title is great!

Now I want to buy a switch

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I'm waiting for a hardware upgrade that they usually end up doing

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Nintendo doesn't typically do hardware upgrades.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Yes they do.

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

They don't? Isn't the New 3DS (and New 2DS) a hardware upgrade over the originals? Some games run better on them compared to the old ones.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yes, there's a couple of exclusive games too that only work on the New consoles. They also did DS to DSi, which also had enhanced games.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Soon as I take care of some other things I will be getting a switch.

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Wait till they inevitably upgrade the hardware like they always do

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

It's been two years, and rumors of a revision have been debunked.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Looks like ALTTP a bit. Therefore I'm buying it.

Wait so this gif is of some character named Candace?? Who TF is Candace

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

Her name is Cadence from Crypt of the NecroDancer.

7 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

That's outside of the legend of Zelda games right?

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Correct.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Wait, when did the colors change?

7 years ago | Likes 78 Dislikes 1

You blinked

7 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

When she touched the 4 sword

7 years ago | Likes 55 Dislikes 0

Someone should add blue and green

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I've always bought the new consoles but never played a Zelda game with much interest. BOTW sold me though. Amazing game.

7 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

wouldnt expect the others to be particularly similar. botw was only technically a zelda game really. trivially reskinned into something else

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 14

should have said nominally, better fit than technically for what i meant

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

with absolutely none of the gameplay features

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

i really really hope botw doesn't ruin the franchise by making all future zelda games something completely different :(

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Nintendo had made it clear they are trying to break into the PC crowd. With Zelda being so important for them, I'm sure they'll be cautious.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

No... way different. The look and the feel and function. I've played others. This is night and day in terms of ability and functionality.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You joking right?

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

there were like 3 total zelda elements and none of them were necessary or particularly central.

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 5

call gannon "the miasma" rename zelda asuna and let the player fill in link's name, and change the koroks to moogles. totally different game

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 3

suddenly it's final fantasy going in a fresh new direction instead. complete with potential phone app integration. brought to you by ubisoft

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

On the inverse Ive hated all zeldas after snes. im forcing my self to play botw. 3 beasts down, still struggling to stay awake.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Have you tried Link Between Worlds for 3ds? Very much in the style of LTTP. Only complaint, it's fairly easy but good story.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I started in an hour or so and was just bored of it. Theres no progression really, find hearts. thats it. I like Bloodborne/darksouls now

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The quests in BOTW is the real draw as is all the gear and ability to cook food. Once you get a horse it makes the game more fun.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The quests have been highly lackluster and with so much verticality in the game I found horses worthless. Cooking is a time sink.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The biggest news is that Nintendo actually licensed their most iconic IP to an indy developer. That's huge.

7 years ago | Likes 637 Dislikes 2

This is the first time they have done so and they are trying to see the response

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I mean, I’m pretty sure Mario is their most Iconic, and I imagine Pokémon is more iconic than Zelda, especially after PoGos success in 2016z

7 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 3

Third most but yeah

7 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 2

Mario and rabbids kingdom battle?

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

That was Ubisoft. I said Indy. It's huge to license to a largely unproven indy developer.

7 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Ooooh, someone arguing 'Most Iconic' with Waluigi or w/e in 3...2...1...

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

The Sony Cdi games are attempting to wave to you but I’m blocking them.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My optimism says they'll do it again my realism is that they will probably give out their IP's to more mobile devs for cash grabs.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

There will still want switch exclusives to encourage platform adoption. Supporting mobile could be a risk to their hardware.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They've expressed further interest in going deeper into the mobile market.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yea Zelda is more iconic than Mario /s

7 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 4

LoZ > Mario

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I mean it's not unprecedented them licensing Zelda to a third party. It just went horrifically badly last time.

7 years ago | Likes 71 Dislikes 3

Well, X queues me, Princess.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Soul Caliber II?

7 years ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 1

Oracle of Ages and Seasons were amazing tho

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

They've always licensed to other large developers. Never a tiny indy (that I'm aware of)

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Horrifically badly is in the eye of the beholder. Were they bad games? Yes. But for the Philips CD-I they were the best on that platform!

7 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

The shiniest of turds is still a turd

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

And I'm not disagreeing. I'm just saying for the system they were released on? They were pretty high quality.

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

That’s like saying it’s the least hot piece of lava in a volcano.

7 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

But in this case, it's the least hot piece of lava in a volcano. People forget there were three Zelda games for the CD-I. There's a reason.

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

No? Hyrule warriors, Minish Cap, the oracle games, Soul Calibur... it’s gone well plenty of times. In fact third party Zeldas have all been-

7 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 1

Well, X queues me, Princess!

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

The oracle games were amazing

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The minish cap wasn't a first party game? It was great

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I was pretty sure he was talking about Hyrule Warriors.

7 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Great after the CDI mistakes.

7 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

To be fair, that was less “third-party,” more “bad-breakup.”

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Where do people get this from? Capcom made oracle or ages/seasons + minish cap and they were amazing

7 years ago | Likes 41 Dislikes 2

The Oracle Duo was meant as a 'quick! Knock something together to get a handle on this' and recycles assets from LA. Still awesome.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

It's quite a jump from capcom to indie

7 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 0

I think they were thinking about phillips cd... and oof

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I did not realize minish cap was capcom. It was real good.

7 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Yeah, but they're almost forgotten when you think of 3rd party Zelda. Most people think Wand of Gamelon, etc...

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

which time do you think was the last time?

7 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Link: The Faces of Evil and Zelda: The Wand of Gamelon for the CD-i: https://youtu.be/Y4SLjLen7-c

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

If you feel like reading subtitles or speak French: https://youtu.be/2yRp3mZK4Eg

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I mean that wasn’t the last time, they licensed to capcom more recently and they did ok

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Huh, I just googled it, I didn't know Capcom did Oracle of Seasons, Oracle of Ages, Four Swords, and The Minish Cap.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Is Capcom an indie studio, though, is the point I think
