#1 I know a guy who goes and prep cooks for him at every fire and everything I've ever heard about Guy has been very positive. (fun fact he is super tired of frosted tips and flame shirts, he just did it for fun when he went on the talent show that made him famous and producers have demanded it since)

After a long, shit day, my car died in the middle of a busy intersection last summer. I tried to push it out of the way, and without a word, three dudes from three totally different cars speaking three totally different languages leapt out of their cars and just started pushing with me to get it to the shoulder. I will never forget that random act of kindness.

I’m from the Canadian prairies and it’s an unspoken rule - if someone’s car is stuck in the snow, you help push them out.

I went to a friends cabin last year. Small Island, middle of nowhere, Norway. A girl had slid into the ditch. The road was super slippery (winter). I stopped to help as the first person there, but didnt stand a chance. In three minutes 4 cars with 10 People stopped. Latvian, Polish and Norwegian. We had her out before her dad who lived nearby arrived. My children learned something about kindness to others that day :)

My landlord was over today and we were talking (I'm in a special program ATM, room mate situation as such. One thing discussed was I'm moving into one of his low income units soon but he was here to show a room to a potential room mate who never showed) and I made sure to shower him with praise because I don't often get a chance to tell him what an amazing human he is. He's a social worker before he's a landlord and it shows.
