It’s really sad that people feel they have to do that to themselves. Especially at such a young age.

2 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

Feeling the need to get botox injections in the prime of your youth is definitely a mental health affliction. If there is a medical procedure that should be heavily counseled before being preformed it's this type of shit, not abortions

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

While I don’t promote this at all, Botox is used as a preventative measure. If your face isn’t moving, it’s harder for creases to form.

2 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 2

So many comments saying, (1) “These women look bad,” and, (2) “They shouldn’t do Botox.” Dumb that none of you seem to have realised that a society that constantly polices the way women look, see point (1), is exactly what results in many women doing Botox. I have no problem with the video because it’s funny and the juxtaposition is not done offensively. But the comments, it’s just yikes after yikes.

I mean i use the same towel on the cooch and face. It's the feet that need a separate towel and scrubber.

To each their own. What these ladies put in their bodies is their business.

It’s so sad that these young women feel the need to inject literal poison into their faces to meet some impossible standard. I could kinda understand if they were like, in their 50s and needed to feel good about themselves or something but jeez. I guarantee you nobody sees the flaws but themselves. and I get the idea that they can see their own worst problems and such but it’s just rough.

2 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 3

I'd hope even people in their 50's and older wouldn't take such measures just for appearance. This fear of wrinkles and aging is absurd. Enjoy your body. Laugh a lot. Exercise (dancing, swimming, just moving counts), eat healthy, have sex, even - or especially with yourself. Feed your mind and heart. Laugh some more. Laugh lines are sexy as hell.

I love how men can critique women for not looking young enough, then in turn critique them for the methods they use to appear young and adhere to impossible beauty standards. We can’t win with you jabronis

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

The men critiquing women for not looking young enough are not men with valuable opinions. Women are way harsher critics about looks than most men are.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The trick with the towel is to do Face then Crotch. By the time the next shower happens, the towel forgets, and you can repeat Face, then Crotch.

2 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

It does also help if you occasionally wash the towel. 17 years is a long time.

I'm an old man now, but I'm really glad of that, because I find absolutely no one attractive anymore. Zero

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

22 and 24?

2 years ago | Likes 101 Dislikes 1

Dunno if anyone will see this, but botox at this age isn't to make you look younger, it's to prevent the future development of wrinkles. Yeah, at 22 you might look closer to 32, but at 42, you'll also still look closer to 32. It's a double edged sword. (This is assuming everything goes correctly and they take care of themselves in other ways as well.)

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I definitely wouldn't do it, but I'm not going to rail against it, either. I know quite a few people who do it and are happy with the results. It's just affirming care like anything else done for looks.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

i hope they love their new faces. I also feel bad for them.

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Units are $10 to $18, and treatments might take up to 40, for an average cost of $300. According to googoo. These ladies probably get an employee discount.

I guess what I don't understand is why you'd need botulism in your face, or how regular injections into your face with needles is better than just looking like you do.

2 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

It would be cheaper to just eat some poorly canned green beans and then you'd look like you wouldn't get a day older.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

honestly the non-cosmetic reasons for botox are more interesting by a lot lol. certain disorders where a muscle tenses and won't fuckin' stop suck, especially in the face, so botulism toxin is a great way of targeting the fucker and killing it dead LOL. there's also botox as a treatment for migraines - some of the migraines that are super stubborn with other medication etc. can be stopped by some injections into the head and neck, taking away the kinda first twitchy domino in ah fuck my head lol

body dysmorphia :(

2 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 2

When I was 26-30, I had a girlfriend that smacked my forehead every time I wrinkled it. I’m damn near 50 now and barely have any forehead wrinkles. It was oddly effective. All I had to do was endure years of abuse and my forehead is in good shape. I wish I could say it was cheaper, but Botox would have cost less than my therapy bills.

2 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 2

Uh, I don't have any either, and nobody slapped me for it.

2 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

I used to wrinkle my forehead rather badly. I’m pretty sure I would have some serious lines had I not been… reprogrammed.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Lauren has 40 units of botox in her what?

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I think what she actually says is "masseters" , i.e. the mastication muscles, which is what she seems to be pointing to. No clue why she'd specify, but it's the only thing that seems to make sense given the context.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Afaik, the point of doing that is getting a slimming or softening effect on your lower face.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It’s a medical treatment for bruxism, or teeth grinding.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The first thing autocomplete suggests on a Google search for "masseter" is "masseter botox" and now that I have that word in mind it definitely sounds like she's pronouncing a t and not a c so I'd say you're right.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Comments are giving major "couch potato judging girl athletes on fuckability" vibes.

We all have our vices. Alcohol, Drugs, Food, whatever. Who the fuck cares if they had botox done? They're grown ass women making grown ass decisions on their bodies. It's not hurting anyone. They should be able to do so without people reducing their agency to their looks and a single fucking tiktok joke.

2 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

Amen.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I'm 43 and I get mistaken for someone much younger. It's because I obsessively avoid the sun, drink tons of water, and don't inject paralytic poison into my face muscles. The worst part is that these ladies are stunning and genuinely don't need any of those procedures! Everyone is allowed to do whatever they want with their bodies, but people are doing too much too fast. Those sephora 10-year-olds with skin care routines with tons of acids and chemicals are destroying their skin, too.

2 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 2

I'm 38 and get carded pretty much every time. Avoiding the sun, smoking, drugs and excessive alcohol is 90% of the battle. A decent moisturiser, a retinol and a face scrub is the remainder.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I don't need botox, my fat fills in the wrinkles.

2 years ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 0

i think it's usually attributed to zsa zsa gabor, but "at one point in life, a woman must choose her face, or her ass." if you choose your face? no small perky ass. if you choose small perky ass? wrinkly face. ...i choose face

So true, I was struck at my son's wedding, how surprisingly young i looked. Well, I'd put on about 30 lbs of stress weight in 6 months, then came home and lost it quickly and damnnnn, want to age 5 yrs a week? Lose 30 lbs. Shite.

The crotch and the towel? No way it's the face.

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

The last time I said this a few days ago, someone told me to just shut up and let women live their life. But you're right. This is body dismorphia, and it shouldn't be encouraged or celebrated.

2 years ago | Likes 36 Dislikes 2

No but people with dysmorphia often don't feel good about themselves so I'm not gonna start criticising them either. I'm not sure how to handle it. I have it myself, all my exes have been gorgeous so for all I know it's all in my head and probably is. Should I get therapy? Fuck it, I think I will

2 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

I don't know you, nor do I know the struggles you face, but YES! Everyone should get therapy. Therapy isn't only for fixing problems - therapy is routine maintenance that your brain requires, and you WILL get it from somewhere, healthy or not. Better to intentionally choose healthy.

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Probably is that access to therapy isnt free and many therapists suck and try to treat everything with the same strategy. It takes alot of energy to keep bouncing off therapists until a good one as well as money.

"Do you wanna be 52 and look 52, or be 52 and look like 32 year old lizzard?" - Bill Burr....sadly, these ladies hit the shit way too early, they also look like fucked up lizzard

2 years ago | Likes 41 Dislikes 0

Botox glossy is the old lady look, so it's the same as wearing old-lady clothes. Sure, Ethel may look good in that, but we're not fooled.

2 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

It won't make them look like that. Botox just paralyses the face. FILLERS will fuck up your face and make it puffy

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Thought they were both in their late thirties, body dysmorphia is sad to see.

2 years ago | Likes 173 Dislikes 0

It's not the botox, it's the filler that makes people look strange. The 22yo still has baby fat on her face, It's just a little weird that it doesn't move. If she doesn't go overboard with dysmorphia and start trying to put filler where her face thins out, and wears her sunscreen, she'll look younger than her age in 20 years.

2 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

That's when you swap to a different towel

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Or to give yourself lips like a balloon animal. I was watching a video about great retro RPGs and their "special guest" looked like she'd been stung by a wasp. O_O

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Why is anyone in their 20s using botox in the first place?

2 years ago | Likes 44 Dislikes 0

You can use it positively. It helps some with migraines

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I know we like to get on Imgur and mock people, but this is actually a story of triumph in the face of adversity. Botox induced artificial paralysis is a medically necessary corrective measure to treat a rare childhood condition.

Think back to when you were a child. Do you remember your mother warning you about the dangers of making a face and it getting stuck that way? These unfortunate young ladies disregarded that warning. I'm just glad medical science now has a treatment plan.

2 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 3

It's waaay too young, but by using it now (before they get wrinkles), they don't have to fill out the wrinkle with fillers. If you wait until the wrinkle is set in the skin it's almost like a ditch. Botox by itself won't eliminate it because the skin is set that way. You'll need a filler like restylane to lift the "bottom" so the surface becomes even.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If you paralyze your face in your youth, you'll push back the development of wrinkles, I guess. I've heard of women training themselves to sleep on their backs to prevent the wrinkles caused by sleeping on pillows. Nothing is too much for some people.

Vanity is a hell of a thing. It doesn't seem like a happy situation.

2 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Average cost per unit is $408. That would be $42k for the middle girl on average. Even at super cheap back alley prices it's $10k. Paying the price of a nice car for those 10 years. Source: https://aedit.com/procedure/botox/cost

2 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 6

Addiction + Body Dysmorphia is wild

You are confusing the units cost with the total average procedure cost. It’s usually $10-12 per unit.

One of my coworkers and her husband once met a lady who was so overbotoxed, that when trying to smile or laugh, she could only open the center of her mouth, looking like a neighing horse. Husband later asked "Honey, do you know what condition this poor Lady had?" And she like "Oooh, that's Botox, she did this b/c she thinks it makes her look beautiful".

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It is a beauty standard aspired by the Kardashians. Too many women watch their stupid TV show and will pay any money to get their look.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

As a well kept 44 yr old, I firmly believe that girl is closer to my age. You'd have to look at her neck to really get a better idea. That being said, I'm thinking about getting botox myself to quit scowling at everything. Nothing wrong with altering your outward appearance until you like what you see.

2 years ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 5

As someone who is turning 45 in a month and half, I look like I am in my late 20's. I was thinking of maybe getting botox for migraines but kind of don't want too. (Plus I got them under control now with some minor tweaks of food and diet) And I also think the 24 year old is in her 40's.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Also, botox in the masseters is usually for jaw issues.

2 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

The problem is that these people have body dysmorphia and will never like their outward appearance. They need therapy more than Botox.

2 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 3

You don't know that at all. You only know they've received botox. If my employer said, "I'll give you deeply discounted botox so you can be a walking billboard!" I'd probably say "Sure, I'll give it a shot!" (see what I did there?) I love trying new things, experimenting with makeup, hair styles, spa treatments, food fads. Botox is not some sketchy fad, and those girls have good results, which will wear off in 3-4 months.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

You are 44. They are 24. Maybe you could use Botox, but I doubt a 24 year old has any serious use for it beyond an elaborate form of self-harm.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's marketed to younger people to prevent wrinkles. Also, I ID young people at work all the time and I can assure you, 24 yr olds, especially blondes and red heads, have wrinkles. And the masseter botox isn't for wrinkles but TMJ issues usually. It can be used to slim a square jaw too. This isn't "self harm." This is a generally safe and trusted procedure.
