So, this is an update to my previous post about "Ember: A Journal of Luminous Things" (http://emberjournal.org/launch). Sean Greenberg, the artist behind "The Carrot is Mightier than the Sword," will be illustrating Issue 1!
"Bedroom Winds" by James R. Eads
Some art-appreciating imgurian posted an album of awesome photoshop art. This one jumped out at me. Prints of "Bedroom Winds" measure 9" tall and 36" wide (~23cm tall, 91cm wide).
And there's currently ONE print left unclaimed.
"Portals"
Using "Bedroom Winds" as the inspiration source, James R. Eads created a custom cover for issue one. The result is stunning, and I seriously couldn't be happier. Best part? He made limited-edition prints available, too. I admit I whistled when unboxing them.
"Frog and Sister Moon"
This one was commissioned for the second issue of Ember. "Frog and Sister Moon" by Keliana Tayler was inspired by one of the stories which appears in that issue, "The Frog who Swallowed the Moon."
Check out Keliana's deviantArt page at http://kiki-tayler.deviantart.com/.

Cat tax
I don't have any cats. I have kids. They are awesome, and three of them are already writers. That's why I launched Ember in the first place.
Learn more about Ember and why I'm doing this awesome project at http://emberjournal.org/launch — oh, and help me make it happen, too.

The other day I said to Mrs. SparkEditor, "This stuff is so good, I can't believe people are letting me publish it!" (1/2)

When authors and artists are as excited to be published by me as I am to publish their work, that's a clear WIN for everyone! (2/2)
