Sense8

This has to be one of the best TV shows ever created. It is a SCI-FI Drama where 8 strangers from 8 different cities suddenly posses the power to communicate with each other as well as share their skills and knowledge via mental connection. It is brilliantly shot, every episode seamlessly binds 8 individuals into a single story despite being miles away. I highly recommend watching this show.

Con Man

This is a web series created by Alan tudyk, based on his own experience after the cancellation of Firefly. It pretty funny and gives an insight into actors life. What's impressive is that It crowdfunded $1 million under 24 hours. It was surprising that I hadn't heard of this show till last week.

Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency

This is a detective show which features a detective that does not have any real detection skills with a side-kick (Elijah Wood) who is even more clueless. based on the novel with same name It combines Sci-Fi and Detective mystery. It is quite funny and weird at the same time which is right up my alley.

The Shannara Chronicles

This show is based off a fantasy book with the same name. In a post-apocalyptic world, humans and elf live in harmony under protection of a mystical tree whose every leaf is an imprisoned demon. The story is an adventurous exploration of finding a cure for the dying tree as well as a way to stop the demons with the help of a druid, an elf and a half human. The show is a little cheesy but I personally like the show. The visuals are really good but the people who have read the books might not find the story line and acting as compelling.

Lucifer

This show is a simple story. The Devil decides to leave hell to live his life in LA, brings along his pet demon and the wrath of his angelic brother Amanadel. I like this show because it took that negativeness out of the word "Devil" and justifies some of the action taken by the character. Now this is not a glorification of the devil it is just a crime drama exploring the human side of a demented and fallen angel. If you want to watch something new and entertaining then give it a shot.

The Man in the High Castle

This tv show is based off the book with the same name. The story depicts an alternative history the Nazi won the war. The premise follows a protagonist who rebels against the government and sets out on a mission to deliver some reels to the man in the high castle. The story is incredibly slow paced till about mid season, the main characters are kinda annoying but the content of the show is great. I am not a history buff but the show provides a great insight to what could have been.

Sense8 = self indulgent tripe. Shanara cast linebackers as elves (downhill from there), & Lucifer = formulaic crap. The rest deserve a look.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The Dirk Gently books were wonderful. The show is garbage.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

First off, this gallery was "shows that I enjoy", not "best shows ever" and where is stranger things??????

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Sense8 was average, Lucifer was mediocre at best, and Shannara Chronicles was flatly awful. 'm suspicious of this whole list now.

9 years ago | Likes 33 Dislikes 11

Go watch The Man in the High castle.. that one is way better than the others. (Or read the book first, doesn't matter)

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

Sorry for your taste

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Sense8....AKA netflix finally controlled wachowski's enough w/ a lower budget so could actually be pressured to make something good.

9 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 5

They did? I thought it was a pretty terrible show and I'm sure I'm not alone.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 3

It's pretty much the definition of a cult classic. To those it appeals to, it'll be fantastic, but to others it'll be unwatchable garbage

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

All of these suck. You lost me at Sense 8, pure garbage, wachowskis need to stop making entertainment.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I love lucifer it's funny and witty and dam he's funny

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Sense8 is cringeworthy.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I was an extra on Con Man, they filmed at Collector's Paradise.

9 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 1

cool! what exactly did you do? did you already check out if you actually can be seen or did they cut the scene out?

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

I was in the autograph line, the episode with Seth Green. It was a volunteer kinda thing, so I just stood there, we got paid with autographs

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

that's pretty cool! good for you :)

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Westworld!!!

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Dirk Gently's novel author is Douglas Adams (HHGTTG) [sic]. I wish they would mention that more.

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

It's right before the name of the show on the opening credits of every episode.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Loved Dirk gently! I tried to get into senses had big hopes for it. Didn't like it. Other shows awesome imo "the expanse" & "travelers"

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Says Sense 8 is best show ever created, stopped reading further.....

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

folder[Movies]

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I really couldn't get into Sense8. I enjoyed Cloud Atlas a lot and the whole jumping between different characters but this was soooo boring.

9 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 2

PS. Thanks for mentioning Con Man. I love Alan Tudyk, gonna look it up right away.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Just started The Man in the High Castle yesterday's after finishing The Expanse. Enjoyed the beginning.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Same, I'm a few episodes deep and abandoned it because the drama feels too cheesy to me now. Hope you'll like it, I'm going to try the book

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I almost had to hold myself at gunpoint to finish the book, it was excruciating...like trying to drag yourself through quicksand lol

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Took me a little longer than I'm proud of to realise I'd read the book for The Expanse. Didn't pay attention to the intro.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I love Lucifer. True fact, it's based off Lucifer & characters from Neil Gaiman's Sandman comic.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Neil Gaimans Lucifer is the only one I'd watch. Please tell me they have Lilith and maybe some Hellblazer character cameos?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They sadly don't. They have Mazhikeen though and do a beautiful job with hiding her true appearance.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's also highly extrapolated from the DC comic. It's obvious where it's from but they treat it as its own universe.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ah, and I just picked up the new Hellblazer DC run over the summer. Bummer, but I'll still have to check out the show. I love Sandman

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Do check it out! It's very entertaining!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Sense8, best TV show ever created? Are you mad?? The first few episodes were decent, but after that it's just pure shit.

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 2

I had the opposite experience -- hated the first few episodes, but it got /much/ more enjoyable after that. Didn't like the ending, though

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

If the first few episodes are the best then I can't imagine how bad the later episodes are. It was terrible in every possible way.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

It's a damn shame Dirk Gently has been Americanised

9 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 2

I saw Max Landis on the credits and sighed audibly from disappointment.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah the original was awesome, I love that guy from Green Wing!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

It was still pretty good

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

What's Americanized about it? As a fan of the books been debating wether to give this one a shot

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

There are soooo many better shows on than these.

9 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 4

such as??

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 4

Shooter, the exorcist, lethal weapon, Westworld. Designated survivor

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Game of Thrones, Mr Robot, The Leftovers, It's Always Sunny, Stranger Things, Arrested Development, Band of Brothers, Rick and Morty

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

I did really like Sense8 however

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Justified, Bosch, The Wire just to mention police-related series..

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Breaking Bad, The Shield..

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

ANything good without crime?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

Crime's all I know

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I might be the only person who thought breaking bad was mediocre. Went on far too long. Been meaning to check out the shield though.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 3

I actually like Shield more than Breaking Bad....and I was obsessed with BB

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

There where 5 seasons...how's that too long? 62 episodes

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

i only made it to s4. episode with the fly is where i fell out of love.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

The Shannara Chronicles is LOTR meets MTV teenage dating drama bullshit. I tried to like it, I really did.

9 years ago | Likes 76 Dislikes 4

Thank you. This is the perfect description. I tried, too. I wanted to like it. But it was unbearably awful.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Couldn't finish even the first episode. Too much teen drama and cliche fantasy.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Me to... Watched them all anyway. So full of the cringe

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Agreed. Its not a good tv show, Its just dumb entertainment. I watch it after a hard day when I don't want to use my brain

9 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 2

I loved the books years ago but the show was so, so bad... :( I felt embarrassed watching it

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Never read the books, don't like teen drama shows but I kinda did like Shannara. Or at least the main elf woman protagonist.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Fine! I liked her because she was so sweet and cute and I really liked those elf ears.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

But she only has 3 different face-expressions throughout the whole series!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

With how few fantasy shows are being made, we can't be picky.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

I watched Lucifer and it's alright, but I feel like it would've been better if they hadn't put the focus on the detective.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Oh yes. Just another cop procedural drama. Was hoping for more from Gaiman inspired Lucifer.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

If it's sorta lore based like Constatine or Supernatural it's right up my alley. But I'm guessing it's not?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's based on a comic where Lucifer as it says, is banished from hell and lives in LA, I haven't seen those shows but I think you'd like it.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Although in the case of this show, he technically wasn't banished. He simply got bored of it all, and left to have fun.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It is a procedural cop show. The first season has some angel and Lucifer lore in it but not much. The second season has a lot more.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

You think Sense8 is one of the best shows ever created? I mean, I liked it but it's not that great.

9 years ago | Likes 44 Dislikes 6

The worst about it is the typical American "everybody happen to speak English all over the world"-bullshit... Ruins the immersion for me..

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As a liberal, even I think it slams you with to much liberal propoganda 1 episode in. Barely made it through 2. Glad some people enjoy it.

9 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

I watch pretty much any sci-fi pulp but Sense8 didn't even keep me through two episodes. I consider it among the worst shows ever made.

9 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 11

I found it okay. However it does take very long to get started. Maybe watch 2 more.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

It would be better if it wasn't a fucking dating sim stretched over long hours.

9 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 3

I noticed that Netflix likes to make it a thing to show nudity in their originals because they don't have to censor. It can get annoying.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Interesting how many replies to this admit to having watched all of two episodes.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

It's hard to claim it's one of the best shows ever made when people struggle to get through the first 2 episodes.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

My thoughts exactly. Best TV show ever? Better than Game of Thrones, West Wing, Band of Brothers, etc?

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 3

After the last 2 seasons I'd cut Game of Thrones off that list too.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

At _least_ two of those are actually some of the best TV shows ever made.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I was interested till you said Shanara Chronicles. That show was shit. I can no longer trust you.

9 years ago | Likes 437 Dislikes 24

WORST. SERIES. EVER

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

Fucking awful.

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

didnt care for the book series either. glanced through previews. ick.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It's like fantasy for someone who has never read a decent fantasy novel in their life. I couldn't even sit through an episode.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Haha, I had the same thought

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Yeah but Dirk Gently is awesome. Very hit and miss list.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Eh, it was watchable for a fantasy show fix. Wasn't horrible if you could look past the drama

9 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 5

Tried binge watching the entire thing with my brothers. Only finished it due to the creative slagging it was given. Terrible series.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Way to ruin what could have been some decent high fantasy.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Right!? I really want Shanara Chronicles to be good but it was just a bunch of whiney teens.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

And now his village must be burned to the ground.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Same. Though I do know man in the high castle is good. Shannara chronicles is complete shit.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Agreed, thay series is really bad. It's not even a "so bad it's good" type series either

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

It was, but Ivana Baquero made it just about watchable. I'm sure I'll end up watching the second season as well (yep, it's been confirmed)

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I was a huge fan of the series as a kid. MTV butchered it.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

What do you expect from Mtv?

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 3

I was so stoked when I saw it on Netflix then saw MTV and haven't even tried to watch it.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Music television. OH WAIT

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Agreed. This was so terrible.

9 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 1

I've heard that Man In The High Castle is very good though.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Its great, amazing if ur a history buff.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

He likes a Dirk Gently that isn't Stephen Mangan, I'm suspicious too.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Read the books instead of watching that garbage. I understand that the book and show would be different... But they ruined it.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

OMG, it was such garbage. I could not agree with you more.

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

Big fan of the books here, not seen the show yet, i hope you are all wrong.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Don't do it. It sucks. The only good character was the druid.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Fucking loved the druid. Only decent actor in the entire show too.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I rarely comment and have to parrot this sentiment. That show was hot garbage, it made 90's Hercules and Xena look good by todays standards

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Books were rubbish but the show managed to be worse.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

100 percent true minus the hawt rogue chick.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Yeah, was 100% CW network style teenage angst drama.

9 years ago | Likes 128 Dislikes 5

This was a level of teenage angst the CW could only aspire to.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Here's the kicker. It's MTV. I didn't believe it when I saw the trailers. Worse than CW.

9 years ago | Likes 39 Dislikes 3

I didn't have trouble believing, seeing as they make Teen Wolf and that's crap too

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I feel op may be a teen themselves

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

That's a shame, because the books are really quite good.

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 4

Was hopeful for when I got around to it but seeing "every leaf is a demon" screams of "The Seeker" level 'artistic license' that's senseless

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Oh man, I'd been trying really hard to suppress my memories of seeker :(

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Ep 1 of Seeker, they f'd up the story so bad not only could they not end book 1 properly, but the whole storyline of the book series was f'd

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I didn't watch all of it, what did you not like besides twilight meets Lotr? That to me was the worst part, pointless romantic plot.

9 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

It gets a lot worse after the first few episodes. The writing is just abysmal, both in terms of dialogue and plot flow, and the acting...

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Yeah I was keen for a fantasy kinda show but two episodes in and I just wasn't enjoying it.

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

That is not a good tv show, its just entertaining. Plus I am only 3 episodes in so maybe it wasn't the best choice to add.

9 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 19

Def not

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

First few episodes are actually pretty decent and then it gets worse and worse with each episode.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I was really excited for more when it was three episodes in, too, but I'm sorry to say it does not deliver on that excitement

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Yeh its all down hill from 3 episodes. I can see that now

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I think the BBC made a version of Dirk Gently with Stephen Mangan a few years back.

9 years ago | Likes 67 Dislikes 1

You don't expect it to be good, but suddenly it is. Always happy to see Dirk get some love.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

DAN!

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I actually quite liked it. Had a budding Sherlock tone that took an interesting turn.

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

It's sort of a cross between Sherlock and doctor who.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

i liked it too. it wasn't perfect but i was still disappointed they decided not to make more

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

I liked it better than I'm liking this new one. The new one seems related to the book in name only.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

It was OK.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

the actors fitted the characters much better than the american version

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

Douglas Adams I believe

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Sense 8 Christmas special and season 2 coming very soon

9 years ago | Likes 457 Dislikes 6

I'm so stoked, I hope it holds up

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Yes finally!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

too much bias from the LGBT agenda. good idea for the show but it got tiring.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

Felt the same way. I'm all for LGBT, but as you said: It got tiring.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

nice to know Im not alone. I thought imgur would down vote the hell out of my comment.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Woooo!!!! I had no idea :D

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Rewatching Season 1 as we speak! Can't wait for more.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I finished rewatching it a couple days ago lol

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

neat

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

EXCELLENT.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm really sorry to bust everyones balls but alot of the characters have been recast due to different reasons. I have my doubts about 1/2

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Season 2, since I loved the original cast and can't really see someone else pick up any of the roles 2/2

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Senses8 = kiznaiver?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Shut up, really! EEEEEH, I can't wait!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

OHMYGOD

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Thank god! I was waiting for someone to have an update. Thanks k yo!!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Been waiting since the first season came out...

Actually, it was a very poignant point - it showed aspects of the cluster that dealt with privacy and inclusion. But w/e.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I stopped watching when people with this amazing power used it to hook up with one another.

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 7

It's been so long since the first season came out, I've forgotten all about it. Now I have to go binge watch it again to remember.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You Sir/Ma'am are a wonderful soul

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Season 2 is in early May.... Christmas special is in 23 december

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The trailers were cheesy but I might give this one a shot.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You'll love it or you'll hate it. It's one of those

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Watched part of the pilot, but it seemed incredibly slow and not very interesting. I presume it gets better at some point (like B5...)?

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It felt like it took ages for them to all get fully introduced, I liked it though! And now I am super excited to see what they all do :D

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

I think it's a good thing they didn't shove in so much info to introduce them all! It was paced a little slow but I think it worked out :)

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I am really excited

9 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 1

As am I! I am surprised it took so long for another season

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I have been waiting for this since the moment Will and Riley held each other for the first time.

9 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 1

Whaaaaaaat!?

9 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

Yes I promise!

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Yes!

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

It's about time right!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

My choir and I recorded a song for the sense8 Christmas special soundtrack. Lana (the producer) is pretty cool. You'll love it ????

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 3

Such a good show!!!!

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

It's an amazing show, I keep recommending it to friends and they never listen :(

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I can't wait ! :D

9 years ago | Likes 37 Dislikes 1

I loved it too but I hope they add a bit more pace to the story.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Same here! :)

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Sad they recast Capheus but hopefully the new actor will do good! I think that's why it took so long for the second season.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Whaaaa????

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Sources are too long for imgur limit but from what I've read in different places it has to do with the original actor not getting (1/2)

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

with the director and possibly cast. I haven't read recent sources so far confirming it as the reason. (2/2)

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Bout fkn time too, took forever!

9 years ago | Likes 35 Dislikes 1

I think it's because they recast Capheus

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

It really did! Hopefully they took so long to make it great!

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Here's hopin lol. I'm probably going to binge watch all of it.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I am as well haha

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Lucifer is a new favorite of mine.

9 years ago | Likes 120 Dislikes 7

After seeing Lucifer in The Sandman, I think it would have been amazing if Simon Baker played Lucifer.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Just reminded me of The Mentalist, missed that show.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Yeah, I want to watch it again, but I really disliked the way they ended it.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Actually was thinking the same. Just finished Westworld and nothing else seems good.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Tbh I'm really just waiting for Better Call Saul to return

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

My sister is part of the hair and makeup crew

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaassssssssssssssssssssssssssss

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Such a fun show to watch!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Does satan solve it every episode?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

He is more there to keep the cases moving forward. He is essentially ex machina personified.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

He actually rarely solves it as he's not looking to solve, unless it benefits him. Or he wants to know their motivation.

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Fun fact: My Grandma hand painted the Russian dolls in the storage locker in season 1

9 years ago | Likes 59 Dislikes 2

So cool, but i would like to meet the person that did the wings

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Same here. Too bad they were only used for a couple episodes

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That is indeed a fun fact.

9 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

Oh that's the coolest! Does your grandma do a lot of art? Could you share that with us in a post or something? (Also hug grandma from us)

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I could definetly make a post about her art! She paints so much her walls are filled with paintings.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Would love to see that!

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As far as I underdtood it, it is Not the book made into a show, but Based on it. Meaning they took the Main idea (Lucifer decides to take(1)

(2) a vacation) and made their whole own thing with It. Like Yes Man: The book tells a totally different Story, just the Main idea is same.

It's a good series in it's own right.

I have tried to watch it many times, but all I see is red rage after a few minutes when remembering what it's based off of.

Don't call the comics graphic novels. Especially when the writers hate that term.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

They do? Why?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Thus it's like saying that comics aren't really a respectable art form (which that is bullshit)

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

People typically apply the term "graphic novel" to disassociate the work from comics.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I think it has something to do with the validity of comics themselves as an art form.

I like the Man in High Castle but it is disturbing to see America as its portrayed in the show

Because it's so close to becoming reality.

The most scary part is the normality of life when you see it - Normal families saying "Heil Hitler!" instead of good morning when meeting.

Or the "snow" out west, just running the ovens today.

It imagines what life would be like if Trump had won the election. Oh JEEZ.

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 19

That's the point, isn't it? To point out just how people rationalize these horrible things... as well as show how easy it would be 1/2

for these ideas to become a part of mainstream thinking. With the 2016 election, I would argue it is more relevant than ever. 2/2

Cos Trump is literally Hitler, right? :D

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 8

So far? It's following the exact same pattern.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 5

Hitler wasn't exactly playing by the rules when it came to elections. Now let's see who and which party committed fraud at present time(2/1)

Because wee should always be concerned with demagoguery and nationalism

9 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 3

That's the reason I like the show, it feels so real that you actually feel sad about the situation of America. With just change in one 1/2

Outcome of a war could make a country from the most powerful country to a ruin 2/2

9 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 2

the puppet government is mentioned briefly when they talk about how things turned against the jews in boston.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Different outcome wouldn't have done that.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

1/ What bothered me the most is how it showed the US is annexed by those respective powers rather than having friendly puppet governments

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 3

Um in the lore of the MITHC it is a puppet government. They just don't mention the pol. system in the shiw

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

/2 installed like they did in most other conquered countries. That part just feels silly to me. But maybe because I AM a historian?

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 3

I think they just wrote it this way to make it interesting, if they went too much with history a lot of people may not have been hooked.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

It's a fictious story not a documentary :D

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Fair, but what is a more potent image? A puppet gov't, or a U.S. flag with an embedded swastika? It's all about making the audience feel it.
