The things we do for love

The story of how we met and the back and forth trips between New Zealand and england is a long one (theres a few posts in my history that go through it)

The short version is back in April 2018 I changed my username to TonguePunchDeBumSon one drunken night and aparently she found it hilarious. 8 months later I visited her for new years (42 hour travel I might add). We decided to start dating and she came to visit in april 2019. I finally got a Visa and made the move in November 2019 just before the world went to shit haha.

Here's where the story moves onto a segment she doesn't know about. I contacted Sarah to see if there was any way to track down the comment that gained her attention. After a long time of back and forth sarah sent me a text document with 100 comments I had made over the few weeks surrounding April 7 2018. I sorted through them all discarding dead links and ones where my comment was too far down (she hardly goes further than the top comments when browsing). I narrowed it down to the post above by ibndewitt which matches all the criteria of her browsing, post date and time accounting for the run up to front page and the content she would likely look at.

Paint by numbers?... those 3 words are the reason I have an amazing life, girlfriend and live on the other side of the world.

Now onto the present day. I have set up an escape room with puzzles, locks, clues and links to imgur. She is currently completing these.

Even got Sarah to add a clue to her bio for the event.

The final prize locked in a cupboard is the completed paint by numbers page from the post. I contacted the user and he found the book, completed the drawing and shipped it to me from Germany! Ibndewitt you are truly a legend my man.
