Left: Jester
Middle: Jail Bird
Right: Black (Seriously that's what it's called)

First pic, you can see a lot of the reds in the Jester Pen

Second Pic you can see the yellows and purples in the Jester.

Bonus pic of the pencil I made for the wife.

Almost forgot dog tax.

The pen is mightier.

I think I know someone who stole a pen from you XD

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

When i was in HS i made my pen from a inert 50bmg shell. Had a threaded cap containing my usb sticks and everything. Then someone stole it.

Op, you're so fancy!

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Thank you!

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Why does the pencil also look like a ballpoint pen?

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

It kinda does, but if you look close you can see there is no "ball".

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Ahh, thank you!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I like the wife pen best

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Holy shit I saw one of those bullet style pens in an engraving shop! Do you live around Dayton, OH?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

No, good ol Arizona.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

How much for a Jester Fountain pen!

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I have a French (Canadian) friend who makes wooden fountain pens. He met Celine Dion and gave her one to use for autographs at a concert,

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

and now I'm realizing how progressively Canadian this situation is sounding haha

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Haha, that's still awesome though.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

He was very proud! Haha

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

These are gorgeous. My cousin made me a beautiful fountain pen I love.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Would you be willing to make and sell one to me? Would be awesome if you could make me a black and red version of the black one.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yes I would sell one. That style would be about $45 shipped.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Sounds fair to me, how should we talk about details?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Message sent.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Now show us a detailed video of you making the pens. Don't be a tease.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I've had lots of requests so I think I'll have to at some point.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Are you part of the PEN15 club?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

How can I purchase these pens?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I make everything to order, I just use paypal as it is a hobby and not a job really.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Message me your info. I have some hard to buy for folks that would love custom pens

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I've pressed a few together - Little shits sell quick. What do you use for turning them down and your final polish?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Last batch I made (Can't find my finished photos)

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Found one

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My little metal lathe (That red smear on the chisel - Blood. Wood Chuck Pro chisel is sharp)

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Super nice. I use a Jet Lathe, roughing gouge and micro mesh for the polish.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I need a special pen too. nice work

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I make them to order, whatever you want.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

what are my options?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Start with type first, Pen or Pencil?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

pen..it needs to be a good pen

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ok, next is mechanism: Cap, Twist, Click, or Bolt Action?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

My grampa made pens when he was on his downswing. Each of us got one at his funeral. still have mine.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Amazing job, OP!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That has to be an amazing job

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

But how?

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Just kidding, cutting, drilling, gluin, turning, sanding, polishing, then press together.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I love bolt pens. Pretty cool but I prefer narrow metal pens like MaxMadco's

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

His website is penisland.com

9 years ago | Likes 126 Dislikes 1

How'd you know?

9 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 0

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

...Are you the guy I met at Katsucon or are you a different guy with no online store who makes pens?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Different guy online who makes pens with no store.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My mom has a pen like the black one(bullet tip, bolt action, little gun shirt clip), except on hers the black part was carved antler.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I've seen antler ones, I heard they smell horrible to turn. So I'm a little apprehensive to do one lol

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

After cutting an elk antler with a power saw it does stink

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Weird, I've heard on multiple occasions it's nasty. Ebony wood smells horrible also when turning it.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

How many pens have you made? Perhaps 15?

9 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

Pen15

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Oh, more than that. Probably over 30 so far.

9 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

The bolt action one looks sick. U should do one that looks like a kar98 with real wood.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I make them to order, all custom made.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Nice, you got a website?

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

No, unfortunately. I just do it as a hobby. Mainly for friends, family, and coworkers. I've made a couple for some Imgurians though.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Can you make fountain pens @OP?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yep, the "Jester" in the post is actually a fountain pen.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

damn thats dope, how much does your pens normally cost if you are selling them?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That is shipped also

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

$45 for the Jester you see in the pic.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Wait wait wait... you MAKE pens??? Where can I buy them? I want the black one!

9 years ago | Likes 205 Dislikes 0

What he makes is tubes to put pre made kits from China on.

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

high school shop class

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's the one I had my eye on too.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They sell kits at hardware stores. You lathe the block down and add on the metal bits.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I used to know a guy that restored antique pens. So fuckin cool.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You want to know where the store for the black pen is?

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

That pen can go to any store it wants. It's not the 40's

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

I believe he does lol

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

(not sure if you got it or not) say my comment out loud.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

I don't have a store or anything, I mainly just do it as a hobby. I have paypal and have shipped a couple to some Imgurians.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I tired once on got 0 traffic, so I just keep it as a hobby. I like to keep it fun rather that a job.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

do you have a instagram or something? i want to see more and buy!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Sorry I don't do the social media stuff, I have more in my Imgur posts though.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

9 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 1

I agree with ExsanguinatingVaginalQueef here. That's pretty sweet.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Thanks!

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Everything is custom made, so you decide on what type of pen you want and what material. So you will have a one of a kind pen.

9 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 0

I may also be interested. Will message in the next few days if I make that decision.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ok, I'll keep a eye out. They are all made to your specs, you choose the style pen and the material that goes in it. Also shape if applies.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's awesome! I'd be interested in options and knowing what you charge. That would make a great Fathers' Day present.

9 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

Just let me know if you want wood or acrylic. Whats types of colors you want. Also which style pen: click, twist, bolt action. 1/2

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Price depends on the pen style and materials, usually start around the $30-$35 range.

9 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

how much would a mechanical pencil cost? Like, I want a heavy brass lead pencil using 0.5mm leads.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I can do the bolt action bullet pen in a pencil, it has some weight to it.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That could work, it's real brass, right?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The chrome or gunmetal finish would probably be heavier as the metal is plated. So that would get the weight you want.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

can you do a fountain pen and if so how much would you charge?

9 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

The Jester in the pic is actually a fountain pen. $45 shipped.

9 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

do you have other examples of materials? I'm using a Parker Urban right now but it's wearing out pretty quickly.

Ya need an etsy shop, man

9 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

Put them on ebay if you want traffic. $45 for a fountain pen similar to any of these would sell easy!!

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Tried it once and got 0 traffic. It's mainly a hobby anyway in my spare time.
